@903harman I'm not sure why you're so angry with a peaceful sounding bell. Maybe the problem is with your school since no classroom should be so noisy that you cannot hear the bell. In Japan, even in the noisiest classrooms in elementary schools you can still hear this chime.

@3333koki 今はMIDIファイルを通して電子ベルの音を流しています。

この放送装置のメーカーは、ナショナル（現在の、パナソニック）­製品で、僕が小学の頃は、６年の時に放送委員会だったので、良く­覚えてます。

チャイムが鳴る前に、♪カチャッ♪とスイッチが入り、チャイムが­鳴り終えた時も、♪カチャッ♪とスイッチが切れる。

ちなみに、校内放送と各階（学年）のフロアーのみの放送の時に先­生がマイクの前で話してる最中にスイッチが入ると早口かチャイム­が鳴り終えた時に、もう一度、♪ピンポンパンポン♪のスイッチを­押して入れて放送も遣ってたのは覚えてる。

You think the europeans had something similar during medieval times. I can imagine it but the sound is deep and the first two chimes are longer when I imagine it.
