  • Beautiful version !

  • I love when the hyenas do the Hitler march in this version. Sounds amazing:D

  • This language is very pleasing to listen to. Which part of the world do they speak it? (I'm assuming some region of Africa?)

  • @RainingBlackDolls It's mostly spoken in South Africa

  • I think the laugh Scar does at the end of this one sounds the best out of all the other versions

  • Fitting language!

  • I love this version.

  • Hebrew version is beautiful

  • idk..I think Zulu and Korean are the best..they make scar more sadistic and evil

  • English and this one is BEST!

  • Beautiful. <3

  • sounds abit italian lol

  • Wow this is the best, it fits so perfectly

  • Scar is gay?

  • ahahah)))

  • this one and the dutch are the best versions of this language. :-)

  • Wow! Awesomely nice!! :O. It fits perfectly.

  • This is one of the few foreign versions I've found where the person voicing Scar is actually carrying a tune, no offense to whoever had the honor did those. I just like the fact that this guy isn't just focusing on being imposing. He's actually singing.

  • he sounds really sexy

  • WHERE THE HELL IS SWAHILI!!!

    \

  • Be prepared need only be three syllables

  • @Ilovedisneymoviesfyi Do you understand that all the languages are different in there way to mean the same thing ? At the moment it is wel in rythm, avery number of syllable can be good ;) And here, they are doing it very wel !

  • the clicking with the tounge is mental how the hell do they do it

  • Thumbs up if you just watched all versions possible of this song!

  • @Ryak1234 Including Ukrainian? :D

  • @TheJamesDM Yes Sir!

  • I came here because the thought of hearing The Lion King in an African language felt right : D

    I was not disappointed!

  • 0:48 always cracks me up xD

  • I've never heard of such a language.. where people speak Zulu? o;

  • @Nekotin It's from South Africa.

  • Could someone post lyrics, id like to learn IsiZulu and i think this would help :D

  • Now I want Disney to release "all" language Blu Rays!!

  • He sounds so serious in this one compared to the other dubs o-o

  • Dat voice. How can I not favorite this?

  • I think Zulu is the strangest sounding language Disney released this in

  • @fegelfan15 I think Lion King was the only Disney film released in the Zulu language.

  • @velocikiller13 Yeah, I was thinking it was. Thanks

  • The laugh at the end is amazing.

  • 16 boers dislikes this video

  • Pretty much the best I've ever heard. Disney movies in the language they should technically be in are the best.

  • 1:10 When he says be prepared it sounds awsome :o

  • Scar singing with clicks is the coolest thing ever.

  • HOLY SHIT, THEY TRANSLATED THIS TO ZULU? I have never heard Zulu being spoken or sung, this is a must watch!

  • Good voice actor!

  • best version and ive listened to many versions..

  • I wonder what the translation would be? I bet it would be badass.

  • this is cool *-*

  • Evil guys sound the most evil when singing in the language they're supossed to speak in the movie.

  • @Morxativoro Well, technically the language they speak where this movie is supposed to take place (judging by animals, geography, proximity to jungles, etc.) is Swahili, but take what you can get.

  • @teniguafez Exactly what I was thinking, but the background choir sings in Zulu so...I suppose it fits well enough.

  • @teniguafez

Well not really because Meerkats are mostly found in South Africa, not in Kenya. And there are lions and giraffes and hyenas in South Africa, so techinally Zulu is more fitting but I get what you're saying.

  • @PoliticalAbstract Creators said it was supposed to be set in the Sarengheti (sp?).

  • @teniguafez

I read somewhere that the place inspired them to draw the setting of Lion King.

  • @Morxativoro Usually yes, exept Frollo from Hunchback of Notre Dame.He sounds the most boring on the language he would have spoken if real (French).

  • @SnitchSeeker I agree. I thought he sounded best in Italian or Polish for that song.

  • @Morxativoro french frollo isnt angry at his boner enough though...

  • A Lion King song dubbed in an African language.

    How fitting. :D

  • This is fantasic! I am also very pleased they used female voices in the marching hyenas choir :)

  • This is fantasic!

  • I did indeed enjoy. :D

  • I love the little scream on 0:49 it's so accurate and fabulous at the same time lol

  • OMG Scar!!!!! <3

  • polish version the best

  • OMG Zulu is such a beautiful language!

  • why would someone change the original voice lol, it`s like faking money, waste...

  • @deiu9000 Because I'm pretty sure Jeremy Irons doesn't speak Zulu.

  • @dreadlife I smell a troll . . . . or else someone just can't read video titles. lol

  • @shrikechan and i smell ur fatass..it stinks thru the computer dammit! suck a dick, hoe!

  • Zulu version to me is da best diff language versions

  • This voice actor is amazing! I LOVE 0:48! Zulu is the best version. ♥

  • This literally gave me goosebumps. I love this *_*

  • Man, what shitass voices this dub is filled with.

  • amazing version, but i grow up with the German version, so this is the only one for me ;)

  • Voice acting amazing... singing amazing... rewritten lyrics not all that good, I realize this is probably the best possible given HOW different the languages are, but you can HEAR the singer physically struggling to put in so many syllables in such a short time... otherwise, this is one of the best versions ever. And DAT LAUGH.

  • @vanishy0urself it's amazing when u can understand what they are saying

  • Brazilian Portuguese, Zulu, English, Japanese. The bests Versions *O*

  • @alexsmrpg Agree.

  • @TheJamesDM ^^

  • @alexsmrpg and Italian too!!!

  • oooo, i got the shivers just like tha damn hyenas

  • Persoanlly, my favorites before I watched this was Hungarian, German and Swedish dubs of this; I'm going to have to add zulu now.

  • WoW! this is spectactular!

  • TOP 10 BEST version 01. German 02. Hungarian 03. Russian 04. Zulu 05. Hebrew 06. Finnish 07. Japenese 08. Dannish 09. French 10. English
  • @freepartyanimal69 No !! Czech is Best Version !!

  • OMG THE LAUGH IN THE END.

  • 0:48 is absolutely delightfully spine-tingling... I love it!

  • I like language and voice acting here, but there is one thing that kinda scares me for some reason.

I just can´t imagine how it´s possible to make those "clicks", especially in the middle of singing.

I never heard this before and this sounds strange and new to me.

Still, I guess I´ll get used to it.

    Nice job with this version!

  • @TheJamesDM clicks? I didn't notice any.

  • @blackninjakat Listen carefully. He makes some. For example: 0:25 , 1:06 , 2:30 , 2:34 ... There are some more.

  • they NEED to do Lion King 2 and 1 1/2 in Zulu... just saying... I love this language! ^.^

  • This scar is quite elegant, I think I like his personality in this version best

  • Sweet.

  • This language sounds beautiful to an English speaker's ears

  • What country is Zulu spoken? I haven't heard of it before

  • @Zizumia1 i believe south western africa dont quote me though

  • @Zizumia1 South Africa, primarily in Kwa-Zulu Natal, but it is spoken widely throughout southern Africa because of the legacy of Zulu conquests in the 18th and 19th centuries.

  • @Zizumia1 South Africa...I'm surprised you don't know it... Zulus were probably one of the best known tribes in Africa.

  • could u email me the lyrics for this (in zulu)

  • Comment removed

  • 0:05 faceplant :D Wonderful language, by the way!

  • i .love. this .language!! It awesome!

  • and he clicked to lol

  • scar said niggas at about 1:31 or 1:32

    LMAOOO!!!

  • @YumiYama179 - They weren't prepared for the AWESOME

  • the zulu lenguage sounds like france to me

  • @Onerom4728 Like France?

    You mean like French?

I bet Italian, Spanish, Portugese and French also sound all the same to you right?

  • Zulu's voice talents are seriously rivaling the English version. It's amazing!

  • 11 people just didn't like this video. That is why they clicked the dislike button.

  • Russian is my favorite version because it's my native lanugage.

Japanese is one of my favs because they made a re-instrumentation and it's awesome, but Scar's voice... it's good, but it's a bit too much "pure menace". Same thing with the german version, actually, but there it's too awesome to bug me. Arabic version is "pure elegance" and is awesome in it's own way. This seems to be "elegant menace" and gives me shivers!! Awesome, even though I haven't seen TLK. :)

  • This voice actor was awsome because when he needed to be elegant, he was flat out posh, and when he needed to be threatening, he was a savage. Kudos to whoever did Scar's voice here

  • @MJTRadio Very well said.

  • Hey thanks for the video, I was wondering where you got the Zulu version of the Lion King because I can't find it anywhere! thanks :)

  • Kwaaaaaa Zuuuuullluuuuu!

  • This is hecka scary. I LOVE IT.

  • This sounds good, although I don't understand ONE word! Greets from germany!

  • Why is everyone acting like Zulu is the only language in Africa? :(

I actually thought that the story took place somewhere on the Swahili Coast, not South Africa.

  • @kishichanX3 I don't think it took place on the coast. I think it took place in either Kenya, Tanzania, or Uganda further away from the coast.

  • @Kristanni20X6 Not sure about Uganda, but Kenya and Tanzania are part of the Swahili coast (went to Tanzania last summer, it was awesome :D)

  • @kishichanX3 Well, on the back of the VHS cover "Set amid the beauty of the Serengeti" so it can't be located on the coast. Uganda's out of the picture but the Serengeti is located in southern Kenya to northern Tanzania. Also, I may be looking at this too deeply but if you look at the way the land is in the movie, you can see that it's not at the coast. There's flat land but there's also a lot of hills and mountains, land masses that can't be seen near the coastline. That's what I think...

  • @Kristanni20X6 oh! I wasn't talking about coast, like close to the ocean coast, I was talking about a region called the Swahili Coast that includes a bunch of coastal countries (i.e. Tanzania and Kenya)

you can probably google image it or something

  • I thought it sounded a little silly when I watched it the first time, but when I looked away and just listened to it it was actually kind of intimidating. It's just hard to sound very intimidating or scary when your voice sincs up to an animated lion with slightly effeminate gestures.

  • To me, he sounds like the lord of all tribesman, and thats not to be racist. He has one really powerful voice.

  • @AnimorphOfCrystal You racist bastard! No jk :)

  • @yurismir1 no worries, i understand.

  • This actually sounds intimidating o_o

  • The original language of Africa

  • @CEBgreatSLAVIA-Umm no its not! Im from Ethiopia and every country has its own distinct language....the original language of ppl has been lost when the tower of babel fell in the Bible, ok? and besides Africa isnt one, just b/c we share the same continent doesnt mean we r one. every one has their own food, language, dress, religion, looks, body language, tradition, etc etc.

  • I kinda like this Scar : D

  • This is the best :) You have to watch it at the roots of where this movie takes place.

  • @hannahbanana8944 Too bad you can't find it anywhere. :(

  • Can someone upload "The Lion King" Zulu version on Youtube?

  • I love the tongue clicks in this version, whoever voiced Scar is totally amazing. I particularly love where he says something like "Lamazwi ngiyashoma uziqhenya" (I can't quite make out the second word. This line goes where "my words are a matter of pride" would be in English, and he's essentially saying the same thing in Zulu, I think), the way he delivers that is awesome.

  • Gotta love those clicking noises they do with their throats... :D

  • This is the first Disney song I've heard in Zulu. It really fits with the Lion King, being that the characters are African and all. And this song in Zulu in my opinion sounds the most powerful.

  • hmmm its hard to sound evil when the language is more about vowel sounds than the hard consonants

  • Technically since this is an african language and this film was in africa than it's the original...lol

  • The Zulu voice actors did an amazing job with this, especially for having no acting experience.

  • @ZippersTheRabbit I agree! They definately should dub more movies!

  • holy hell 8D

  • Does anyone know who's Scar's voice actor in this version?

I've been tried to look for his name but got no luck so far.

  • @MegaOozaru90 smasondo@gmail is his email. His name is Victor Masondo

  • @MegaOozaru90 Victor Masondo smasondo@gmail.com

  • ZULU ROCKS!

    Scar's voice...so sexy...XD

  • @kiyomimihara his laugh at the end is beast

  • @iHaveOneArm Beasty cant even describe the amount that is this awesome. XD

  • Scar's Zulu dubbed voice sounds really sexy.

  • The deepness of the voice fits Scar the best, but German is sitll the best language for Lion King, being of who the character represents and te whole setting of the World War 1 and 2 thing.

  • OMG I'VE NEVER SEEN A DISNEY SONG IN ZULU BEFORE . THIS IS AWESOME!!!! I love the clicking, too ;)

  • OMG I'VE NEVER SEEN A DISNEY SONG IN ZULU BEFORE . THIS IS AWESOME!!!!

  • @ResoluteTwo The Lion King is the only Disney movie that I know of dubbed in Zulu. They wanted it to be available in the language that the movie took place or something. They didn't do it for the Lion King sequels.

  • Wow, this is the first time I saw any disney film in Zulu.

It makes TLK feel even more African.

  • Zulu, french, and japanese are the best langages for this movie series. XD

  • This is the best version of "Be Prepared". The range and tone of the Zulu command such power.

  • This is good. What language are they singing in?

  • @SuperNormalPerson Lol!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAA

    ignoramus

  • @cdakak I take it you know then... Unless you don't know anything. SHUT UP

  • @SuperNormalPerson I take it either you're unable to read the title of this video, or perhaps do not know that zulu is a language?

  • @cdakak What! REALLY. Sorry i'll apologize, and thanks for pointing it out to me...

  • great version! is the best one for this song

  • this is how it should really be.....and i am serious

  • 真不虧是超。原文!
