Latvia is good ice-hockey country and they have great fans. It's my favourite team after finland.

Skrastins is good defenceman and Irbe is legend and he has got a very good history in NHL. Many many latvians have played in Finnish SM-Liiga like Janis Sprukt, Tambijevs, Skrastins and many other players.
