@nnarsey Actually, even the Japanese consider the Nissan GTR to be the R35.... the Skyline 350GT does not carry on the R bodystyle (R32, R33, R34, R35)... it started as an Infiniti before they rebadged it, not as a Nissan. It doesn't even come in an AWD option. It's not a true "Skyline" to begin with, ask any real enthusiast.

Before anyone should claim being a huge Skyline fan, they should learn the history first. Good thing you never saw the R34 base/normal model cars, they would be garbage to you. They would also get beaten by 350GT/370GT.

@Kamukix Just because I didn't mention any of the other skylines doesn't mean I don't know anything about them. In fact the R34 is my favorite of the skyline models. I lived in japan for a year so I know allot about Skylines and The RX7. I don't doubt you know more about rotary cars then I do. But I like the RX7 way better then the 8, Not so much for the performance reason, but mainly the style. Same with the G35 vs the R34.

@Imetalman2000 I didn't mean the R34 specifically, I mean the full lineup of the Skyline cars. Including the much lower powered models with 155ps engines, which would get crushed by the 350/370GT cars. It's hard to not sound rude online, but I wasn't trying to be.

Just stating too many people (youtube) hate the 350/370GT since they're not GT-R speed, which makes no sense because they're leagues faster than previous models except the GT-R. 32/33/34 all had base/mid/high models too. :)

All the skylines have a certain look that gives it that skyline style. The G36 seems more like a luxury sports car and the style is great looking, but not consistent with the style of all the other Skylines. Thats my only beef. But like I said Its still a great car. I would totally but one. especially cause I can't afford 80g to get a GTR

What makes the "infamous" Skylines aren't really the "Skyline" badge. But the RB series motors that started this epic tale to cult status. And the only "Skylines" that had these RB engines were the R32-R34. Not dissing the R35 in any way, but this comes to show that Nissan exclusively gives the R nomenclature only to it's hero models. Hence, a G35 could be called a Skyline, however, notice that it does not inherit the "R" in its model name. And I for one got no problem with it :)

Yes, the only major difference between the two is that the Skyline 350GT is right side driven. If you look very close at around 0:19, you can see the silhouette of the steering wheel on the right side. That, and the badging are the only differences. Same VQ35 engine as well.

same amount of power as the r34 regulation 206kw but slightly more torque in the 34. same drivetrain same awd, mild tweaks in most aspects nothing that a home tuner cant sort out. r34's look nice and cost more, they are more comfortable and have nicer interiors, and thats good if your into that sort of bullshit. r32's will smash 34s all day and so on and so forth but the difference is only in the body and some very minor tweaks.
