GTA's never came two toned. It was always a monochromatic paint color. So either its a GTA clone, or its a GTA that was re-painted incorrectly.

@wjrneo2 It's definitely a GTA (no air exhaust vent in the front fender in front of the door like regular Trans Ams had) that was painted by Earl Scheib.

they dont come two tone, it's either not a gta or it was painted the wrong way. Im thinking its just painted wrong, it has the gold bird, gold wheels, and no fender vents.

That is actually my car..... and for all of u guys who think u know sooooooo much about cars.. it IS at GTA w a 5.7L the paint job is just custom.. i had the silver trim put on the car.. and the car haules ass i wasnt putin it 2 the floor in this vid

firechicken76 has a point. that's a firebird two tone, with gta emblem added on quarter panels, and sail panel emblems added. good try...but it also doesn't hit the takeoff like a 5.7 either.

definetely has those GTA wheels... but the GTA's didn't come with the LG4, they came with the L98's, and the LB9's before that... so it has to be fuel injected... unless it's a T/A or a bird... nbd, js

I had an identical 87 T/A, but it only had a 4bbl 305 and could not burn out like yours.

Like Razor said, I never knew the GTA could come in 2 tone in 87. Guess a you learn something new everyday!

Actually I just did some research on the paint. All GTA's came from the factory painted in one color.

In 1987, the two tone paint scheme, like on this car, came on all base model Trans Ams.

So this car is either a real GTA that had the ground effects repainted silver or someone added GTA badges to a base model Trans Am.
