I blame getting stuck on bad game design. Its basics 101 to give SOME kind of hint to help the players get past bearers that hinder progress, not to mention ones that need to be solved with a mechanic just learned. I wonder if they thought they were being clever having you have to presume the red light on the other freaking door is a switch that opens the gate. MEH

i have tried for 30 mins to control the glaive and get the buton.It's impossible.just uninstalled the game.(for that reason)fuck the controls.this game worth shit.nice graphics, but the gameplay is fuckedup, not to mention the controls.with a keyboard and mouse it's impossible.pure rage.fuck i'm so pissed.

its real real easy to make it pass da gate i played it on ps3, all u do is throw the claive press and hold R2 while pressing L1 DEN CONTROL DA LAIVE WIT THE RIGHT THUMB STICK TO BREAK DA RED LIGHT, REAL EASY

@sabtiy80 you have to control the glaive with the controller itself in slowmotion. It uses the sixaxis feature.

@sabtiy80 Turn off the six axis controls, it's hard as hell to control it if you don't. Once y ou turn it off you can control it with the R stick.

do you know how to use aftertouch with your glaive?

Just press the button to throw it , and press and hold the button right after you throw it to go into aftertouch.

and just guide it over the fence and hit the button. get into a good position .

go straight down? you have a problem throwing it straight, or you mean it's after touch ability, where you guide the glaive's flight path. if so you gotta move your controller, it uses sixaxis. let me know so, I can help you out more if you're still having trouble

are you talking about that the glow on the glavie? if so just press up on the d-pad to use it as a flashlight. and the black markets are noticeable when you spot one. they are the sever caps with a white lotus symbol on them

forgive me if you've done this but are you holding r2 after the glaive is relesed? it takes a bit of practise to master but as you go through the game it gets easier and its great fun when you kill the zombies when you aren't even looking at them!

For some reason I cant control the glaive. I followed the direction to where you have to tap r2 then hold it and use r3 to control it but its not working for me. The glaive continues to move upward no matter what i do....so i cant throw it over the fence to unlock the gate. could there be something wrong with my controller?

well I haven't played the ps3 version of the game, but I believe the aftertouch ability of the glaive is controlled by the sixaxis feature, so are you using that?

i had the same problem with after touch, sometimes if you are using wireless control you have to sit a bit closer to the console for it to work. I'm not much of a gamer but i loved this game, i bought it on boxing day and played it right through for 4 days! Good job i was off work lol

In response to my earlier question, i finally figured it out, for the rest of you, you move the actual controller up down left right to make the glaive move in that direction. Also for anyone who is stuck at defeating the boss in the next level, hide behind the altar where the sandbags are, it can't get you there neither can the cement blocks he throws at you, you can easily defeat it from there.

it's called after touch, you just hold down the rb when you throw you glaive, it's an ability you gain after fighting the infected down in the sewers where the lights go out and before meeting yargo for the first time
