I am a guy and could not agree more with you. I don't care about this astrology stuff and I don't think any of my buddies care either. Yet, it continues to be asked of me by women. When a woman does ask me my sign, it is usually a pretty good indicator of the level of the level of conversation we are capable of having. I don't know if I would recommend telling women that men think astrology is foolishness. It is very helpful as a screening tool.

Maybe horoscopes aren't true, and maybe they are, but a lot of times the reason why people talk about them is because they're interesting. I don't think you can base people on their birth dates, but I still like reading about the zodiac signs and whatnot.

So I don't think you should be angry at people and calling them stupid just because they find horoscopes interesting.

You're right to be skeptical of the parlor tricks, but there is truth to astrology. U have to use your intuition and not let the will of another eclipse u with their predictions. Right now the world is simply confused by schismatic sects. More than 12 types; consider sun, rising, moon / the north and south nodes within the chart. first read sun, then rising, then moon and be careful who you trust.

- Besides, astrology by definition is the study of the influence of the stars, planets, sun, and moon on human affairs. I am positive these elements existed BEFORE humans ;)

(Wikipedia)- in many cases this means that it's very subjective and not always reliable as such... the only influences of the stars is gravity and radiation (light, heat, radiowawes, X-ray, etc) with all respect, I just meant that horoscopes are results of long years of observation FILTERED trough (non perfect) human eyes :)))

Religion comes from astrology and we were all once babies. I hate when people call other people stupid. I am "Stupid" but I have survived on my own for 17 years after leaving school and family behind as a child. I see smart people being stupid every day and also notice they have strengths and weakness.Every human being is different, its easy namecall, bu what if your kid is born retarded or with a birth defect?
