@kingoftheroosters Yep. Union County has gold and amethyst. All on private property but a great area to check if you have access. Good luck and let us know if you find some. Thanks for watching.
man i live in the upstate and got a nice size creek about a hundred yards behind my house im nearly 16 years old and my mom and dad keep shootin me down. saying i can't find any gold at all but i will prove them wronge when i go back there ima do it!
@Worley1971 Yep, there is gold in Anderson. It's a large county but very mineralized. Look for rocky creeks with lots of quartz rocks. Garnets and small limonite cubes are also a good indicator for gold. Good luck with your prospecting.
@63gstone There is no visible gold in the Lowcountry. You have to go to the Upstate. Anywhere above the fall line but it gets better the more north you are. Sorry. I love the Lowcountry. Moved here from Johns Island.
@dinodude411 We have been trying to get back into the creek all summer. Nugget has been down with back problems and I have been working 7 day / week since mid May. Hopefully we will get started soon. We have many other creeks we are anxious to get in to also. Thanks for the comment.
I own the prospector bazooka model and have been amazed at the retention of even super fine flour gold. My biggest issue I had with it at the start was it required a decent amount of water flow to classify properly, however I found a awesome trick you other bazooka owners can use in minimal water flow. If you can get enough water flow into just the bottom to get the trap working, then all you have to do is dump your material on top, and use a pan or bucket to wash the material on top down.
@draconamar I too am amazed at the fine gold it captures. Great idea on the low water flow. The secret is to keep the sand fluid so the gold will settle out, just like it does in your gold pan. Wet sand is fluid and dry sand locks down. Water is your best friend when gold prospecting. Thanks for the tip!
@sarg156 You will have to purchase directly from the manufacturer. The delivery is a little slow as the demand is high right now but it will arrive. You will enjoy it far better than any other sluice made. Bazooka should pay us! Actually they have never even sent a thank you and we get emails all the time from folks who have ordered one because of the videos. They often later email saying how it is the best prospecting purchase they ever made. I am sure you will enjoy yours. Happy prospecting!
@indyme2 Thanks Indy, and thats ridiculous of them. Because of your videos showcasing it me and many other people will be and have already purchased a Bazooka sluice. Thanks for the response. Take care
If you could only buy 1 of the 3 which one would you buy considering most of the time you are going to be pacing in to a mountain creek to work half mile to a mile or more walk each way?
@Yardzilla Kind of hard to say. If you are young and strong and the creeks are large, go with the mid size. If you are old like me and the creeks are small, go with the smallest one. You can easily conceal the small one but move a lot more material with the mid size. I guess that is why I own both sizes. Kind of tough to pay for but a man can never have too many toys.
@Yardzilla I usually don't clean up until I am finished or want to see how good the area I am digging is. As long as the material is below the ledge on the trap, you are ok. It only takes one minute to dump it and replace anyway. No carpet. Just lift, place in your bucket, rinse and put back in the creek. Some creeks have more black sand than others too and will need cleaning more often. You will get a feel for it really easy once you use it. I was unsure of it at first but now I use no other.
Super video- i am new to YT and panning in general. Learning a lot from your videos and hope to find some color soon. I just received my midsize bazooka yesterday and tried it out today. It took awhile to set up but it did a good job after i learned to direct the flow of water into it and getting the pitch right. Looking for some good info on creeks in the Greenville -Greer area with color in them even if in small amounts if anyone can help.I am looking forward to your next videos
@MrJbon73 Thanks HH. We are glad you enjoy the videos and thank you for your comment. The sluice is a breeze to set up. No more difficult than any other and once you do it a time or two, you'll feel comfortable with it. All of the upstate is good for color. Keep trying the creek you are working. I'll bet it has color.
Great videos... Im actually new to this and tomorrow im goin out to chattooga. Thanks for the great tips... im def gonna have to buy some of the gear you guys got... Ill let ya guys know how i do... btw where are you guys located im in Greenville SC.
@tourch10 Thanks for the comment. We appreciate them all. I have found some gold around Chattoga. Check small streams too. Greenville is a good area to prospect. Look for rocky creeks with lots of quartz. We are in the upstate too and let us know how you do. Good luck!
@indyme2 ah no luck tried to hit some sand bars and bends. I did have a great time and learned how to pan pretty well... i would love to pick your guys brains though lol. Might try and go up to my land in cleveland and try my hand out there.
@tourch10 Keep trying. Look for those rocky creeks with lots of quartz and not so much country rock. You are probably find, as you get more experienced, that creeks you thought had no gold, actually have. Good luck and keep up posted.
I had to go back and check to send me notice when you upload a new video. I didn't realize I hadn't done that when I subscribed to you videos. Great job on the video.
I'm up to speed now and waiting for more! Thanks Indy for sharing.
@rblood50 Thanks rblood50. We appreciate all comments, especially great ones! I would like to see you put that mini highbanker, you spotlighted, to work in a creek. That little suitcase looks interesting.
Really enjoy your videos. My little diggins are under 20 + feet of snow right now so watching these gives me a good feeling. Also thanks for sharing the tip on Jet Dry! Keep coming and as often as you can! Here in North Idaho watching these is like feeding my spirit!
@AuggieDogProduction Great to hear from you Ted. I thought you had left the planet. Just buried in snow! Thanks for the comment. If you ever decide to escape for a while, let me know. It's warm here and the gold is waiting.
@HarveyWysong Thanks Harvey. We really appreciate good comments. Working on another video now. I hope you will watch and enjoy it too. Thank you, Sir.
@GoldHunterMike Thank you Mike. We are always learning. When we think we have it figured out, we find we are only fooling ourselves. Gold is like a cat. It goes where it wants to go and hides where it wants to hide. It makes its own rules. Looking forward to more of your videos.
@DHIOTT The surface of the gold is rough, so it hasn't traveled too far. But, it is mostly fine. as you say. It would be great to find the source. Thank you for your comment, DHIOTT.
Any gold in union sc thanks.
