the bullshit ... both horses are tensed , especially the one ridden who is pulled on and pulled backwards on , all that is a ego trip for the rider , no benefit for horses AS USUAL ...... PATHETIC JERK
I have seen it twice at CAN-AM in London Ontario. I LOVE it. He jumps with them too. While riding and long lining, he jumps them. He fell off once and got dragged. Poor guy. But he got abck on the next day.
I was convinced that horse in front wan't even on long reins for like the first two minutes, LOL! Couldn't see them until they passed right in front of the camera. Now THAT would have been impressive.
haha,I watched this, and my trainer made a comment, which I will never forget... He said:
"It's not impressive that he's long lining a horse over a jump - it's impressive that he's found a Friesian who will lift all four feet more than 2 inches off the ground!"
I love Friesians here in the Netherlands they use them sometimes for traditional things like bringing the carriage to a graveyard (and that is really wonderful to see everything is black it looks amazing But I like this as well
The trainer/rider is Clay Maier. I've seen his show several times at the Frisian Extravaganza. He is an awesome trainer. He has a site out there, just do a search for his name.
Very hard to teach horses to do that. Sebean Chute Carry did the same thing only the ridden friesian was collected and actually riden in dressage at the same time...
Amazing!

I've just started doing this with carriage Freisians - how in the world do you teach the leader to canter and change leads?

I ride two Spanish horses in tandem myself and I know it's a hard thing to do. My congratulations!
You can always watch me tandem-riding when you have a look at my profile
