Now, if the a practitioner was equally skilled at both, I would say that Kung Fu would win, simply because it is more fluid in its movements and has more varied techniques.

I practice both by the way, and I found that Karate is MUCH easier to learn and practice then Kung Fu.

Kung Fu has a lot more training to it. By training I mean push-ups, kicking and punching practice, flexibility practice, A LOT of stance holding, and some other movements along with your usual form exercises. Karate is more simple with less training aspects.

Kung Fu takes a lot longer to earn a master degree, some places 10 or more years or the 2 to 5 years for the lesser schools. Karate, I believe about a year and a half.

Thanks for your comment, I'm a traditional martial artist and I don't focus on just one style I practice Kenjutsu, Kung Fu (Wushu styles/Shaolin Snake Form/Drunken Form/ Tiger Form), Karate, ancient Muay Thai, and I have sampled some MMA techniques as well.
