thats a damn good idea with the chairs and pool cover i got my revo a couple weeks ago but for some reason when i full throttle it like screams and hardly moves so i think its my spur gear that just got worn down so im gunna replace it and see if that works
Backflips do not require a specific type of ramp. I explained this about 7 pages ago, here's the trick.
As long as the ramp gets you about 2 feet off the ground, you can do a backflip with a revo 3.3 (and many other RC vehicles). As soon as the truck hits the ramp, I go full throttle. The inertia created by the tire acceleration causes the chassis of the truck to rotate. After the truck has completed a flip (or 2), slam on the brakes (if you have them) to stop the rotation.
I had my little brother use the pool skimming pole to fish it off the cover. It only happened a couple times though. The worst was one of my last attempts when the truck landed on the concrete off to the right of the pool from about 10 feet in the air. Yeah, that's when the part broke. I realized it about 3 jumps later because the truck didn't want to drive straight anymore. Broke the plastic piece that connects the axle to the right-rear wheel (3 wheel drive baby!)
I never thought of using a lounge chair as a ramp.
For your next trick go for a front flip! Just slam the breaks as soon as you leave the end of the ramp. I bet you could get a double front off a kicker like that.
I do front flips with my revo all the time. You just need to adjust your brakes better is all. You could get your revo to roll over forward just by hitting your brakes on the ground.
jumping onto the pool!! not a bad idea man! I might have to do that next time i get something that i can fuck up lol! But i cant do it with my revo now, cause i just put a bunch of shit into it! And im nt fucking it up! lol
very smart, doen that over a pool, i never thought of it, i think ill try it tomarrow, thanks for the idea lol =D. you should have went of the slide, but put a jump at the end.
worddd I loved my revo but I broke it way too many times, it was in the shop more then it was on the road expensive little toys but you gotta push them to the limits ya dig!
First of all, to do a backflip, you don't need reverse. All you do is mash on the gas during the jump and continue the gas after you're flying, then when it's all the way around, tap forward on the brakes to stop the rotation. To do a frontflip, mash on the brakes just after lift-off (this is much more difficult with this truck).
I recently did a double backflip off a bike ramp in the grass, grazed the front bumper on the grass but made it. Shortly thereafter, I went for a high speed jump and broke the rear left shock... Hoping to fix that soon.
Yep, you're looking at about $500 for the truck and a gallon of fuel. Revo 3.3 came fully assembled and I bought a nitro starter kit for nitro noobs but probably could have done without it because it comes with the majority of the stuff you need. Just remember to go through the break-in procedure as outlined in the manual to make sure your engine has a good long and powerful life.
yea zak you coulda done a double, to bad you can't achieve your dreams and goals, oh wait, whats this, you did, well good job, it was truly spectacular
Yep, I was loving it :P Wish they would leave the cover on the pool over the summer for my jumps! But then again, swimming is pretty fun... maybe I'll have to put some pontoons on my revo and try it in the pool!! (just kidding)
I have put 2 gallons through my firestorm and have not had to replace the glowplug yet. It really depends on how you run your truck, if it is really lean and too warm for that plug they will burn out faster, if you run it rich and it is colder outside it might last longer. Just make sure you get the right plug for the temp outside, and tune your engine everytime
Thanks, the broken part actually happened when I hit the cement sidewalk while landing... still ran fine, didn't know it was broken untill i saw only 3 wheels spinning.
i love the improvised ramps...lol :P
And I hope ur pool cover is durable >.<

When it comes to speed and durability whats better --- a truggy or a buggy??? plz answer

In my opinion i would say that a truggy is a little more durable, but other people could probably argue against that

front flips are tough with a heavy truck, the brakes weren't stopping the tires fast enough to rotate it completely around.
snobo777 4 years ago
I do front flips with my revo all the time. You just need to adjust your brakes better is all. You could get your revo to roll over forward just by hitting your brakes on the ground.

i have a revo 3.3 and i cant do a backflip i cant switch it into reverse fast enough. so can you tell me how you do a backflip.
revolutionp84 4 years ago
First of all, to do a backflip, you don't need reverse. All you do is mash on the gas during the jump and continue the gas after you're flying, then when it's all the way around, tap forward on the brakes to stop the rotation. To do a frontflip, mash on the brakes just after lift-off (this is much more difficult with this truck).
