  • @gva0917 - We had our town hall dances. The lights were dark, the band on stage, no adults anywhere we were packed in so tight. Locked in some boys arms, some boy who chose 'you' and only you, to hold on to, and he took a chance just asking you. OMG, the innocence we had.

  • I stop everything and listen whenever I hear this. It's so beautiful and haunting.

  • They are one of the reasons why I consider the 60's and 70's as the greatest decades in rock & roll history. And they are to me personally my favorite R&B group of all time.

  • LA VERCION ORIGINAL ES DE ALTON ELLIS.

  • Another great Motown group from the city of brotherly love "Philly" man!!!!!!

  • @go339go They were from Philadelphia not Detroit Michigan where Motown is.

Nevertheless the Philly and Motown sound rule the airwaves in the late 60's to early 70's.

  • @54nomore I did say they were from philly, read it again.

  • @go339go They were w/ Philly Groove Records and not part of Motown. Like the Stylistics, Blue Notes, and Blue Magic.

  • @54nomore Like you said it was all good back then.

  • Ha Ha Ha! That's being true to your "Cool", man!

  • Ha Ha Ha! Cool man!

  • one of my all time favourite songs. ever!

  • @MsEclectic1 mine too! :-)

  • Fantastic..... We had so much fun back then...Not all the BS and violence that goes on now.. The beach parties.. I was happy then

  • Let's give it up for this out of sight song from Philly's Own.

  • This style of music is still possible. This is a challenge to young musicians to write and sing music with harmony, melody and rythmn.....if you can.

  • Hauntingly beautiful...group, tune transcends time...remember when some of us slow danced to this and other songs that were romantic, with understandable lyrics, great backup instrumentation...timeless like I said...last weekend, my lady and I spent nearly two hours in her living room slow dancing to this, "Maybe" by the Chantels, "Deserie" by the Charts, "Thinking of You" by the Jaguars...if you know how to slow dancethen you know the rest...romance!

  • GANGSTA JAM and reminds me of a woman named Bernice that I loved.

  • i was one of the lucky ones who heard and bought this music on 45,s man do i remember all these tunes, sometimes down revere beach my parents would visir relatives after we rode rides and this music was playing all night

  • @sheddski

Heh man, I grew up around this type of beautiful music--I know exactly what u saying man.

  • How powerful a song like this is when it can grace you with the same feelings it did over 30+years ago. God Bless all who feel the music and hope for those who don't.

  • THIS IS WHAT EVERY SINGER SHOULD STRIVE TOWARDS

  • This song still gives me chills, I just luv hearing it

  • @afwah54 it's beautiful.

  • Shit. is the song wonderful or what?

  • Love Lines to My Husband:

I envision us laughing on the porch with our shoes off. My legs across yours. Drinking a Bud Light or two. Listening to this type of music. Watching the moonlight. Kissing. Fondling. Talking. You rubbing my feet. Me sittng across your lap and kissing your Adam's apple. You say..."ouch" because a Mosquito bit you. I laugh. Surprise you by pouring beer down your back. You take your shirt off and we go play inside the house. (smile)

  • @myvisionownsme can u please teach these young women that i feel like im missin the compassion an im 22 but i know its more than just a quick nut weres the passion smh

  • @MOON1388

Hello Young Prince. Women follow men. When YOU project an energy that you are loyal to the heart, mind, and spirit of that one woman/wife, she will follow you, love you, protect you, laugh with you, satisfy you, and help you meet your purpose and goals in life. She will build you up and care for you like no other. The levels of love that the ONE woman/wife has are truly amazing.

Just as hell have no fury like a scorned woman...the earth knows no love greater than a beloved woman.

  • @myvisionownsme tru tru

  • @MOON1388

(smile) I hope you escape the matrix. You're being brainwashed into to thinking that the more women you GET, the more MAN you become. When actually, all of those spirits that you collect when you enter 100s of women immediately poison your focus and your power.

There is a GREAT force in loving one woman/wife because she will become one with you and you will walk around with double the strength & double the insight. Few men ever realize that power.

  • @myvisionownsme you no ur the second person ive heard tell me that an i believe it thats why i keep my passion to myself hoping oneday i can find 1 women to cherish because love is special an i fell as though i shouldnt just run into everywomen i met thanks for the advice

  • @myvisionownsme Wonderful words and insight for those who have yet to experience a depth and level of real Love, Devotion and Passion they have only dreamed of. And, it does exist. Once one sets aside fear, doubt, inhibition, and insecurities, and truly reaches for love, AND then returns that heartfelt depth of love, the Joy is boundless. And, can last a lifetime if nurtured and treasured with each breath, each kiss everyday and every night. To know the sweet ache of such tenderness is bliss.

  • @chrysm6

Thank you. You too share great words of understanding. You speak with a poetic rhythm and bounce. YES, I hope that this generation realizes how casual sex is devoid of compassion, love, power, unity, and friendship. I hope they began to realize how dangerous and meaningless it is.

NOTE: Sex is a powerful force; uniting the flesh and the SPIRIT of GOD... in marriage. Husband and wife become like GOD when they unite in sex because the GREAT I AM has both male and female traits.

  • @chrysm6 THANK YOU...nicely put. This song is AGELESS!!!!

  • @chrysm6

BTW, I sure hope you speak from experience. What words of encouragement!

Good to hear from ya and thanks for the compliment.

  • @Classic63

Do you know the artists? Wow! Let them know that:

If my God is willing, I will include this song in a film that I'm writing and plan to star in and direct. This music is so incredibly sensual; it appeals to a woman's need to be adored and adorned by a man's words, actions, ... his everything. It puts me into my queen, goddess, amazon woman mode. I feel cherished when I hear it. Tell them that I send many thanks to them for this wonderful piece of art.

  • Nice work, Chancellor of Soul!

(Mike, we used to work together at CLM. Hint: I'm a jazz saxophonist, and you can see one of my videos on youtube . . . .)

  • Really, Really mellow music by an outstanding group! I missed these guys along with the Stylistics, and Roberta Flack and Donnie Hathaway!

  • the music and lyrics caress you like a sultry summer evening's breeze... and you crave it all the more because each touch is so achingly brief....

  • what a beautiful song, why can;t they play music like this again on the radio?

  • Much happier time? Lol I think I am more happier now considering I wasnt alive back then. In anycase, time continues to progress and things change. It's the natural cycle of human nature.

  • Man I STILL GET GOOSEBUMPS!
