i have no idea that kookie has passed away.. sayang a very good racer.. i used to be out of the country most of the time.. so i dont know what happend.. one of our very own racing legends like his father.. R.I.P. sir.. great loss to philippine racing industry..
i can still remember at Subic International Raceway, the very first day that he lectured me of my driving. I was young back then. He knew that i got a heavy foot so he always tells me that "Racing is done inside the race tracks and not in the streets, keep that in mind"
i will miss him. i will miss the guy who taught me how to race like a gentleman. I hope you and your dad Pocholo Ramirez is in peace.
sana si dodjie laurel din may tribute... kaso i think mahirap humanap ng archives about his races back in the '60's.. but probably it's in the web somewhere,it's just the matter of finding it though.
my idol! the one and only reason why we go to subic is to be able to learn from the maestro kookie ramirez. mabuhay ka sir kookie you deserve all the praise in the world kudos to madam menchie very nice people
I'm glad I got to watch Kookie race, take lessons and learn from him and eventually race with him. How lucky can I get to be part of top Philippine Racing! Those memories will always be among the highlights of my life.
