My interest is in tracking my sleep cycle real time, which this thing can't.

Built in a micro/mini usb port and a small battery so I can simply charge it and have it communicate with my phone through blue tooth. Then I'll pay $100

ps. the reason for it not being avail. for Android is very likely that 3.5 jack connection.

@realjax $99 is not at all out of line for this sort of thing. Have you heard of the bodybugg? It's been around for awhile now but is a large ugly device worn on an arm band. It's not waterproof like I read the UP is and retails for well over $100. They use to be about $300 but with competition the price has come down.
