It is carcinogenic(causes cancer and other defects). An estimated 500,000 vietnamese died directly from associated illness. As much of a weapon as a gun or bombs.

@XxTHEGAMERxX1 Agent Orange was a 2-4-5-T defoliant(weed Spray) used by the Americans during the vietnam war to kill vegetation so the vietcong would have fewer places to hide. It is carcinogenic(causes cancer and other defects). It has also been suggested the effects werealready known by the American Administration and hence also used it to spray food crops and population areas. An estimated 500,000 vietnamese died directly from associated illness. As much of a weapon as a gun or bombs.

The average north vietnamese soldiers weren't communists. This conflict was a left-over from previous french coloniazation. It was a war for independence. Sadly the only support the north viatnamese we're able to secure was from moscow and all of a sudden this became a war about communism in the eyes of the west. I guess this is what's most tragic about this war, few poeple, has ever understood what this was about. Such a waste of young lives!

I was born in 67 but have been to Vietnam twice. I do respect the fact that I do respect. Just this past winter I did not make it to Vietnam but to Laos and met up with an MIA "get the record straight" pilot from 1966. He was a former OV-1 pilot. I concur with your statement but wanted you to know some of us young ones know a few things and give a shayte. God Speed! I am a former 80 Deuce paratrooper and have sailed "both" oceans with the US Navy.
