warmouth parts are really nice but by the time you get the whole thing - body and neck, plus all the hardware & tuners and quality pickups you can buy a new or slightly used american made fender tele. qualtiy parts will be about $800 depending of pickups and bodty material. and resale on a home built tele isn't very good. but if you want the satisfaction of doing it yourself... (i've done it before)
@deemilieu Partscasters are cool if you're using salvaged parts, though - or if you pick up a great guitar full of high-end parts really cheap. I got a partscaster with boutique hand-wound pickups, Fender USA/Gotoh hardware, upgraded nut and saddles, and a really nice neck and luthier-made body, set up by a someone that looked like they knew what they were doing, for £200... better than a US tele for a fraction of the price. Even a crap partscaster might make a great donor guitar.
Please help me if you can I had a Custom T bass body made by Warmoth which is a telecaster guitar shape body and I want to make a pick guard for it, but I need a template. If you know and if you can help I would appreciate it. Thank you very much.
@zerozipnada that's kind of a nasty job. i've done it before. it's pretty labor intensive to cut all the holes cleanly and in the right place so it looks and fits professional. you can buy a 'perfect' pre-cut p-guard for $20- $30. and if you make a mistake cutting plastic you have to live with it or start fresh.
jesus, where did you get that thing? sea foam with gold hardware?

I didn't realize there was more info in the description. It sounds as good as it looks. Hmm, might have to try a Tele build of my own.
