the originall accent of Mario and Luigi was a brooklyn accent (Before they added voices to the game which was Super Mario 64, the 1st mario game with voice). But when the guy auditioning for the voice of mario auditioned, he came in doing an Itallian accent and the producers loved it. So he was hired and now Mario is seen and heard as an italian plummer.

Seriously why do you guys like watching Super Mario World cartoons? I think it's kind of childish, and I just stick to the Mario games. Believe it or not, Super Mario World was the first video game that I ever played in my life. I was only three years old (Christmas 1993 to be exact), but I still sucked at it. LOL I remembered playing as Mario and I accidentally ran in into one of the turtles, on the first level. I even have a picture of Super Mario World in my album. LOL

Great cartoon, but I wish they used the animation style in the cartoon's own intro throughout the whole episode. Although when you're a kid you don't think about that. As long as it was a video game cartoon, that's all that mattered!!!! I still like this!

@Grandtendo10345 I know that DiC Entertainment developed all of the Mario cartoons, and probable asked Nintendo's permission. I don't think that Nintendo corporations made this show because they were focusing on making new games.
