I am not sure that you know, how a traditional blast beat is played. you have to play 8th notes on your kick drum and play it together with your cymbal. The snare is played between your kick/cymbal notes

you could do single strokes faster than you can do your slower heel toe on axis, and you can easily do single foot blasting, double pedal for blasting is only needed fro the freehand blast(gravity blast) or the cannibal blast (blast beat that the drummer from cannibal corpse plays)

Heel toe doesn't have an un even sound, it only does if you cant do it properly.

The point of heel toe is to get EVEN double strokes dynamically and in control. If you cant get your heel toe strokes to sound even then your either doing it wrong or need to practice the movement WAY more.

I can play any straight/triplet rhythm at all using heel toe doubles, you just gotta have foot and ankle control.

Saying its for cock suckers just means you cant be arsed to practice it hard, and you give up.

I would agree here, if he's not got a "real" style (ie. heel up, heel down). Learning heel-toe can drastically affect your ability to play your typical stuff. Not to say that heel-toe isn't beneficial, because it is, but I would suggest mastering in other ways before moving onto something trivial like that.
