Getting a headshot is an automatic crit, not just a damage buff. That means that being kritzkrieged is the same as being headshot. Also, buildings only take base damage.

@pacman4d Most of the time. Depends how far you stretch your arrow back. If you just instantly click to someone's head. It does -150 damage. Instantly killing most classes including Scout, Engineer, Sniper, and Spy. The rest will most probably survive depending on their health.

The point of the fire arrow is against players, you shoot do a bunch af damage AND burn them. It is not nearly as affective against METAL buildings which can't burn

For the record: Sentries, nor any buildings, are affected be Crits, nor are they affected by damage falloff.

A Huntsman arrow does 120 base damage fully charged; a headshot does three times that amount, as it is an automatic Crit. When the Huntsman is charged by the Kritzkrieg, it behaves as if all arrows score headshots, ie 300% power.

Fire arrows do not do more damage, only light the opponent on fire, essentially a high-damage flare. Since Sentries are not lit on fire, they are unaffected.

@mrs1man He's just not turned off the Dmg spread. You'll notice weapons don't do 'x damage', they do 'x-y damage'. It's just luck of the draw. It's doing roughly the same because a headshot crits anyway. Boosted arrows are useful because they allow you to bodyshot effectively and aiming for a bodyshot is a lot easier.

The only real reason to light your arrow on fire would be to cause after effect damage on a medic/ heavy combo to keep the health down while you load up your next arrow, or if you cannot land a headshot on the enemy, this would help to finish off any enemies that would otherwise live through the hit.
