We are all part of the "HUMAN" race. I'm a white guy, and yeah I date black women. I do like certain characteristics that black women have over white women. Black women tend to be more upfront and bold, most are self confident and know how to stick up for themselves when a confrontation is at hand, and I think that is what black men do not like, but I do. 1. This is where YOU aren't listening. It is a stereotype that BW have horrible attitudes & treat men badly. Are their BW who do that? Yes. But there are women in general who do that, for a variety of reasons. I am always leary of imbuing a whole group of people with personality traits and then really believing it. Like WW will let men do anything to them in bed, or WM are freaks, or AM have small dicks, or Latinos are all uneducated. Stereotypes.
2. There are plenty of BW who care for their mates, raise their kids well, and have good lives. That isn't a White thing or an Asian thing, or a upper-class thing. So when I hear SOME BM generalize about BW, I have to question their experience. Most often when I have questioned these men, it has become clear that THEY pick the same type of crazy woman, then try to justify dating WW by denigrating BW. But when they pick crazy WW, they just don't complain.
5. Finally, any BM who sums up a series of bad relationships by using racial stereotypes is clearly not telling you the details about his relationships. Maybe one BW was crazy, and maybe the next one was insecure. Oh, but maybe he cheated on the third one so she acted a fool.
But if almost all of a BM's experiences have been bad with BW, the common denominator isn't their race. It's him! Either who he picks or how he treats them.
3. Any man who uses a race of women to justify dating interracially has issues. My brother dates all races and never has he explained his like of a particular woman by dissing BW. He also dates BW so clearly he is looking at the woman and not stereotypes.
4. As someone who befriends folks regardless of race, the reality is that my White girlfriends can be just as hard as the stereotypical BW is perceived to be. I have Black girlfriends who are totally chill w/ no airs.

BM are dating outside of the race today for the same reason that BW and any other race is: interracial dating has less of a social stigma than during any time in our history. We are all part of the "HUMAN" race. I'm a white guy, and yeah I date black women. I do like certain characteristics that black women have over white women. Black women tend to be more upfront and bold, most are self confident and know how to stick up for themselves when a confrontation is at hand, and I think that is what black men do not like, but I do. Those characteristics drive them to white women who are more submissive, meaning they can be controlled.

I have noticed this a couple of times but the stupid guy doesn't know that my brother and cousins are interracially married and I am not against his relationship. I am attracted to white men so I'm not really affected by a black guy dating a white woman. I would say to a woman dating a guy that acts in the manner that you described, to reconsider who you're with.

Its well known....THE WHITE RACE IS ATTRACTIVE....sub-saharan is NOT. Look at all african americans...the ones who have white in them are beautiful, the ones who dont are ugly as a mule. Thats why black men or brown/light skin men(who make up the largest portion of the AA group) , go lightskin or white.
Look at all the latin women...take a full indian, and take a mestizo(half european/indian)... one has no neck, the other is beautiful. White is a plus...

I know when I see them, (black men w/white women) & I'm seeing more of them I take notice but I'm not put off by it anymore. A few years ago I was like Dang, how many of these couples am I going to see? But you're right about the brother in the interracial relationship. When he's with a white woman, I can tell he stares a lot longer & keeps on until I happen to look at him. It's like he wants me to see the white woman but I just go on about my business. Hell, I'll even strike up a conversation.

I love this response. I'm all for black, white, and brown relationshipts. I've seen good and bad blacks, whites, and browns. Skin color is just about the amount of pigmentation in people's skins - it is not about their characters and intelligence. I thought it was just me who thought black men act funny when they're with white women. It's like they be looking you in the eye to see if you're upset and the smirk they have on their face, that annoys me even more. Some white girls are the same way.
