To defeat Bowser, you have to jump over him then destroy the bridge. You can't hurt him. Just for your information

You CAN kill him with sufficient fireballs. On all the other levels he turns into a white version of an enemy and dies. On the final level he just falls through the floor dead. I've seen it done. This guy of course cheated big time so no telling what might have been screwed up!
