By the way, through some kind of kismet or fate, I'm crafting a story around the year 1938 when Orson Welles had his War of the Worlds show, and there just happened to be a blackout in Concrete, Washington, due to Puget Sound Energy... and when I read that, I immediately thought back to your book. You probably won't believe me, but I know Carl Deuker. He was my teacher few years ago; I was in his class for fifth and sixth grade, and he's totally awesome and my favorite teacher ever. He even let our class vote for which cover he should use for his newest book: Gym Candy. He's a really great author, and just a great person in general.
