@maciejlondyn you can still access your serial number from inside your device: settings/general/about/serial number and if you plug it into your computer it will also tell you in itunes. You would need the serial number if you needed to get it replaced under warranty by apple.

If you weren't blind you'd see that this would leave your iPod with a nice brushed metal look rather than a shitty, all scratched up one. Also, if you were smart you'd know that people in the car detailing business use something very similar to this to repair scratches on car paint, they wet-SAND the car.

@razrvin I felt bad after posting this and now standing corrected,, I used my pocket knife and did a short firm scratch on the (inside) of the chrome back cover of my 30 gig iPod video,, and sure nuff, the scratch felt and looked like as if it was and is metal, my confusion came from the back covers weight and tapping on it, which definitely sounds like hard plastic, A volt meter check should solve the question i guess, unless hard crome plating is conductive,, I give up,,;(
