@JooJooBnutz It's been ages since I've seen the DX9 version of LoTRO, but I remember thinking that the differences were small (water & shadows come to mind) but that it was an over all welcome change.

I like lotro, out of all the mmos I've played it's one of the better ones, but I gotta say the graphics arn't amazing. the only impressive thing IS the water :P. The rest of the environment is pretty average graphics wise. I played Age of Conan and it definitely trumps it in terms of graphics.

@Pupixario I honestly don't know. YouTube does not allow me to post links, so you'll need to hit up Google and search for "Can You Run It?". It's a tool by System Requirements Lab. The results will show how close your system is to running the game at its best.

@AnYungPS3 That program is problematic though, where its results are not relevant. It stated that I could play a few games well, specifically Warhammer Online and LOTRO, of which is was mostly wrong :(.

@Pupixario Prolly not. Maxed would include the new DX11 settings. Your card doesn't support DX11. Highly doubt it would handle AA and stuff like that as well. You could probably get pretty high settings, though.

From the very begining i went for lifer pay option. That was 3 years ago. The game has more than payed me back. I mean, compare $199 for a life time sub to $9 bucks a month. I WIN!!! :) Great game and i really................. REALLY love PvMP. I play creep side and enjoy munching on freeps.

@ATAATX Yeah I kinda regret not getting the life time option in the beginning. LoTRO is a relaxing MMO. That's the primary reason why I played it, actually. :-)

*sigh* Great game, dont like how its going Free to play. had to cancle my sub and now when i go back i cant use buy 3 of my toons and i cant play PvMP. PvMP is only for people paying for the game.

@BalanceofEternity Not sure that I understand your logic. You're willing to pay now, but you're not willing to pay later to access the same features that you pay for now? Nothing would change for you. In fact you would get "points" to spend in their store to access cosmetics & other stuff that's not available to you now.

I don't mean to insult you, I'm just curious. Paying members of their F2P version will get extra perks above what you get now in addition to what you have now. Win / Win, yes?

But i do wanna re-sub. im trying to get some money so i can re-sub lol. Just go ahead an re-sub so my account will be upgraded to VIP upon release. My questions is, since i own all the expansions will i get access to the quests from those expansions???

From what I understand from their FAQ you will have access to all of the content from the expansions that you've bought & freebies that they've given to you so far, but there will be new pay-only quest lines in each area. I'm kinda "meh" / so-so about that.

You're correct about the character slots.

@AnYungPS3 :D. I feel the same about the quests. And i really think the PvMP should at least be available to Premium players too. I just wish i could use all 7 of my character slots so i dont have to choose between 3 :/ I hope the slots arent expensive like in other F2P mmos ive played.

Personally I prefer it to WoW in some ways because I find LoTRO to be more relaxing, and WoW appears to be getting a bit out of control in terms of item power & the like... but that's the perspective of someone outside looking in.

This game truly looks amazing, sadly I couldn't enjoy it nearly as much because of my old system. That is also part of the reason I quit, because I couldn't do 120 rad runs with my kin - my processor apparently isn't enough to handle 12 players at once, even on lowest graphics settings.

Definitely an underrated game for sure. I had a lot of fun with it. This is a great location to display the graphics btw! When I walked past the lake I thought it was a great place to show off the graphics as well but never made a video out of it. 5/5

@Tyranny82 Yep I thought it was the best game, but when they sold it to WB and made it Free to play, more like pay to play. it really messed it up. I had to switch to another mmo :( really liked lotro

Honestly I'm not sure if I can help you because it's been so long. I would recommend that you run the launcher as an administrator, but you would find much better assistance on the LoTR forums.
