  • We felt so bad about testing the ''Bomb'' on Japan,,we had to smooth it by saying how good nuclear can save us from Fossil Fuel dependence......

  • and then Three Mile Island hppened

  • Doctor-"sir, we found a tumor."

Patient-" Oh Really, its a good thing I came then."

Doctor-" Actually it was caused by the detection"

    Patient-" NOOOOOOOO"

  • The drake equation was right! We might have a false interaction with eacother-Resources getting little could star world war III.God only knows what will happen to humanity by then. Will we all just anilate each-other?

  • Mesmerizing :D

  • That Radium has some moves!

  • 04:33 Radium reminds me of the frenchcore act Radium

  • I feel like making a nuclear reactor now.. Mabey make a lil' plutonium, screw around with a couple nuclear bombs.. ^_^

  • So in term could we bombared any atom type say i dont know and aluminam cup, and make it into another atom type? say like turn a cup into oxogen or maybe a different material like plastic iron or say tin?

  • do i feel a 2011 atom commercial called: "The atoms family"?

  • Cabbages and Kings?

Alice In Wonderland references? IN MY CD videos?

It's more likely then you think.

  • the civil defense logo looks like the deathly hallows symbol a little bit.....well to me anyways

  • @Thinkrealistically wtf? Have i said anything that offended you?

  • @clouds5 He just wants you to 'think realistically' lol

  • Must have been crazy to live in that time, realizing what these findings could mean for the future. I dont think they thought of stuff like Tschernobyl or Fukushima back then... I mean 2 devastating accidents in only 25 years? Atomic energy is crazy dangerous and has already produced HUGE costs. Big parts of landscape unusable for ages? Thats cost is too high imho.

  • Story by "True Boardman" ... ????

  • This is really cool.

  • 1 billion billion ?

  • G is for pussy

  • I wish the interest in nuclear technology today had the same zeal as it did back then.

  • This reminds me of Portal 2, the part with the old Aperture Science :)

  • B is for Bullshit

  • c is for cunt

  • @espnchris d is for derp, e is for epic and f is for fag

  • @stefanboy67 g is for ass

  • Of course all this crap has been thoroughly debunked, since there is no nuclear atom. See, "The Case Against the Nuclear Atom", by DB Larson on line and free to read. So, there is no excuse for anyone believing this mind control garabge. Read the book and don't lash out at me for exposing the fraud. Now add to that quantum quackery, hair brained string theory, radio carbon dating, mass spectrometry. They all are flase, because there is no such thing as a nuclear atom. It has all been debunked!

  • @77GSlinger Sure mate, sure... God why can't conspiracy seekers give us a frickin break.

  • @AwesomeDutchGuy Bad science dude no conspiracy. Try doing some research instread of defending a dead paradigm. Read Larson's book on the hstry of the development of the nuclear theory of the atom, it s a fraud. My Profs in 1976 Chem class (American River College) told me the theory was a fraud and it is still being taught. Who benefts from this backwards Psyence? Use some critcal thinking instead of lashing out at people lke me who make you uncomfortable wth the truths we reveal.

  • @77GSlinger I'd like to point out that it isn't in your power to assume that it makes me feel uncomfortable to hear of your possibly false assumptions. I use plenty of critical thinking, that's why I in general do not accept opinions from people like you who try to push their views onto one another with nearly zealous aspiration without using my own healthy common sense. I'd love to go into a discussion with you but please, refrain from such behaviour. It, as now, backfires most of the time.

  • @AwesomeDutchGuy OK Awesome, let's hear what ya gotta say about the false theory of a nuclear atom. It has been thoroughly debunked to the core since it's absurd inception, so what s your question? My assumptions are not false, because I am not assuming anything in relationship to this academic fraud. To be honest with you your comment sounds like you are some kind of academic wussy. WTF s up? Please let me be myself. I am not interested in tip toeing around your false belief system. Ask away!

  • @77GSlinger Wow, it has been a long time since I've seen someone use such inconsistencies in their response. First you ask me for my opinion. Then all of a sudden that winds up into me having to ask you questions. How come Americans, when they actually have something to say, act like they are interested in someone else's opinion whilst they're constantly bombarding the other with their own? I'll go ahead and read that book of yours as time goes on, as I actually AM open-minded about your views.

  • @AwesomeDutchGuy My point was that you should not be offended by my behavior as you criticized me for it. If it causes you some sort of emotional discomfort that is a red flag that you need to attend to regarding your own perceptions of this world and belief system. Most folks nowadays do not understand the importance of jest and ridicule in order to demolish false belief systems in a rapid and humorous manner. This is about conspiracy facts and the elite dumbing us down which has been proved!

  • @77GSlinger I'm glad we can at least respond to one another by now on a more sincere basis. I know ridicule is needed to break through certain topics which seem totally out of order. The thing is, only the average John Bull might need a hint of it to have his eyes opened. The elite dumbing the population down is certainly true, couldn't agree with you more. I actually fulfill the same function as you do, but then more on the monetary system, banks, several wars and the media itself.

  • @AwesomeDutchGuy Well I am happy to hear you are doing your part in exposing this mind controlled hell hole world the elite have sold us. Many Blessings Robert

  • @77GSlinger I hope you will read my book, it is free and a gift of love for all humans. I am not selling anything. I am exposing a system of lies and shystery, which benefits the war mongers, energy barons, and central bankers. I teach this to free all mankind. I can not stand living in this false world run by mind control methods, so I share all I have learned with everyone and never ask a dime for the 20 years of research and writing I have given away to help raise this world out of the pit!

  • This is a fantastic piece of history..

  • This so anti christ!!

  • That whole explanation just taught me more in a few minutes than what a teacher could in a whole hour. And i'm what you call a nerd, so that tells you how bad teachers are these days. (in this field, anyway.) up until now i didn't grasp what happened with the uranium after it was hit with the neutron.

  • This is one of the best YouTube videos I've ever watched.

  • Radio-active Isotopes in agriculture? That's why cancer is now an epidemic

  • "In 1939 some scientists..." discovered Fission - This was Otto Hahn a scientist in Nazi-Germany ;)

  • @schwabse Well, if you consider discovery as "stealing from Lisa Meitner"

  • @ZettaShark well... basically you are right =)

  • Comment removed

  • Those giants are damned hunky!

  • Gknova6's first transmition.

  • hahah something else funny i saw in this video. "all men of good will" then they show the united nations HAHAHA! y

  • so true this is from when everyone was smart and could understand and no annoying sarcastic jokes and puns where in this to actually be funny... now...we're..just lost i mean the average teenager wouldnt look this up. -sigh-

  • Nice 'How to build a nuclear bomb' video :D Actually really interesting.

  • Awesome Film

  • I'm old enough to remember the duck and cover drills...

  • 13:40 -14:03 felt like there describing communism in a way lol

  • Miss may i brought me here... and kinda fallout 3

  • I showed this video to my baby boomer parents and they started laughing it reminded them of the days when they had to hide under desks like that would keep you safe from a nuclear attack.

  • @katiempojer lol that was more of a way to reduce panic in the"final" moments then protect lol

  • America used to be so cool.

  • A to the O as O to the A: those are for sun's Anarchy

  • A is for Atomic, B is for bomb, C is for Cancer, and D is for death

  • This is very enlightening. A very good presentation on a complicated subject.

  • this is so creepy

  • they really likes characters in the fifties ;]

  • fucking cold war is better than the soccer world cup

  • This movie comes from a time when America understood English, and had the attention span and vocabulary necessary to absorb the material. Its not the movies that made good schools, it was good schools where everyone knew their place that enabled students to benefit from the film.

  • @TYMMCHN yah im 15 and i see what a horrable future we live in ive always felt that we went from 1st world to 3rd world education

  • @TYMMCHN "Knew their place?" as in "Segregation?

  • @TYMMCHN well you can blame a-murha-cans losing heir ability to speal and retain information on the tv pop culture and gossip magazines... the powers that be are keeping the citizens dumbs down with bullshit news (dont trust cnn abc nbc cbs fox or any other news sources that are owned by multi-billion dollar fucktards the news from them is bias and only premotes their agendas) think about the movie "they live" its all mind control brain numbing garbage... think for yourself people

  • @TYMMCHN also my fault i am on my girlfriends computer and didnt realize i am logged in as her ... my account name is kenmabie on here please dont trash her account over what i said ... if you hve something to say about my comment please direct it to KENMABIE on youtube... thank you

  • @TYMMCHN yes nostalgia must feel good to you, but it's too bad that it was all just mind control garbage created by the energy barons, war mongers and central bankers to make us slaves to their backwards, toxic and filthy, world destroying explosion based technologies which consume the fuels which these nefarious forces sell to us at top dollar and which require the murder of millions of innocent people living in weaker countries which must be invaded, conquered and their resources stolen.

  • @TYMMCHN

Yes, everyone was smarter and more well-behaved in the 50s, weren't they?

  • @TYMMCHN Good schools where sheeple were good little followers who never asked any questions which challenged the lies they were being taught. The nuke atom s a fraud and non-existent. It has been debunked since it's ugly incepton by many smart people who refused to beleive the absurdity of electron balls flying around protons and neutrons in orbital shells. Zero critcal thinking was used by an entire generation who accepted the crap put in the trough of ignorance by their corporate masters!

  • @TYMMCHN r u sk8ting

  • @TYMMCHN XD , just giving examples.

  • Schools should use things like this to help todays kids learn more and make things like science fun.... I can remember watching all kinds of animated films and little show to help me learn and the were some times wierd but you learned better...

  • @willy7369 Note to self: learn animation, finish my element characters, and make a modern version of this film.

Hey, we now know quantum mechanics and this film's copyright got flushed down the toilet, so let's do it!

  • Must... Obey... Civil... Defense...

  • C is for coal as in "Dude! It's 2010 and freakin' using coal?"

  • A is for Atomic, N is for Nuclear Winter, R is for Radiation Sickness, and W is for we're dead

  • epic video, i love it

  • I love NUCLEAR BOMBS =)

  • Propaganda film from General Electric. I want my isotopes!

  • @jdbrown371 And how is this propaganda, exactly?

  • @SpaceTime4D It was intended to get the public to accept a new technology with a broad range of applications from energy to medicine. The classic techniques are all there, assertion, bandwagoning, glittering generalizations, card stacking, plain folks, transfer etc. Everything was positive. Anyone who doubted these new technologies was holding us back.

  • @jdbrown371 Well, they did mention its usage in atomic weapons.

Not to mention, the information they give is, in fact, scientifically sound (excluding minor updates to accomodate quantum mechanics. This can be viewed for scientific purposes, as for the fact we've moved past the Atomic Age after the Chenobyl disaster 24 years ago, that is why we mainly use it. Also, can you define those terms you're using?

  • @SpaceTime4D For the most part, the science is OK and it's entertaining, even educational. Each of those propoganda terms I used are standard and well defined in the literature. Just google "classic propoganda techniques" with some of the words I included and you're sure to find all you need. It's a classic example of presenting scientific facts selectively while withholding other important data to obtain the desired result.

  • @jdbrown371 And one more thing: Three Mile Island and Chenobyl did not happen yet when this mas made. How were they supposed to know about meltdowns if they never encountered it before?

  • @SpaceTime4D they knew the dangers.

  • @Wallmersbacher They knew the results of an uncontrolled chain reaction. But how would they know how that would happen in a controlled nuclear plant until it happened?

  • BOOM! Nuclear Winter!

  • Trés magnifique!

  • In the beginning titles the roman numerals say MCMLII which is 1952, not the youtube title of 1953, so authough i dont know when it was published, it was made in '52 so wouldn't that be a better date for the title?

Just commenting, thats what this function is here for :)

  • Very retro 50's. Love that.

Also, horribly out of date. Consider that we not only know about the binding force of the nucleus, we have good theoretical understanding about when and how it emerged after the cosmic expansion. But that's cool too. This video demonstrates how far we've come in the last 60 years.

  • @jessemaurais Since this has copyleft with allowing for remixes and free sharing, why don't we make an updated version?

Also, strong force's carrier particles are called gluons. How funny is that?

  • @SpaceTime4D Pretty damn funny actually.

  • Wow... Propaganda!

  • Wow...this video can gives you knowledge faster and clearer

  • So amusing and informative.

    Love the element characters.

  • @MegaMmmaaa Yeah. Especially radium and his crazy dance.

    Let's do the Alpha!

*bursts hole in roof and flies into neighbor's house*

  • que belleza

  • nice, thanks for posting this. I noticed that Adam Curtis used footage from this film in one of his documentaries.
