All they really use is the block! With that logic you can argue that the hemispherical heads in MV Agusta motorcycles are stolen from the HEMI V8 design. I hate the redneck American philosophy of putting a "big ole chevy block" in a car and expecting it to beat everything else. There is a lot more to building a car than just getting a powerful engine in it, if anything going with DMB15246's idea that could just slow it down due to adding about half a ton of weight to the car.

At the moment that is difficult. Fact is, there is no American car that is even that expensive.
However, I'm expecting the Hennessey Venom GT (American LS engine from the ZR1 fyi) to not only compare to the Koenigsegg, but just plain out beat it. Weights roughly 200lb less and since there will be a 1250hp variant , it will have more power. With a Lotus chassis, you know it's gonna be more than just a straight line monster. Probably gonna cost a 1/4 of the Koenigsegg price as well.

Yeah it's a Swedish car but the CCR and CC8S use a FORD V8 with a single supercharger while the CCX and CCXR (US legal Versions) use a Koenigsegg V8 (a modified version of the previous Ford V8) and twin superchargers (~809HP for the CCX and ~1018hp for the CCXR which uses E85 Ethanol gas) It's a Swedish built car powered by American muscle...so to speak.
the ccx was beaten by the veyrun for top speed of any production car and then ford beat the pants on the veyrun with their Ultimate aero TT. it broke 257mph on an american highway and has the potential to break 270mph on a proper test track.
your forgetting the fact that the koenigsegg and the veyron (not veyrun u moron) can be driven as normal cars on the road. the Ultimate aero TT is rubbish at that because its too hard, and not designed properly... like all american cars actually :)

There's usually one or two masterminds aka chief engineers. They draw the specs/show the vision of what is required. Then they give specifications to the team on what exactly is required. So no, he didn't design the car himself. He had a team.

Yea, the SCC is the fastest but for some reason is not officially recognized. And the veyron is second (but officially first). The newest Koenigsegg, the CCXR Edition should blow them all away though.

Make no mistake. Bugatti made NO money on Veyron. It sells cheaper than than it costs to make. They simply made the car to prove that it can be done. It's still the best car ever built period.

The veyron was built to drive for 30 years , the koenigsegg the ssc etc.. etc.. are build to last 1-2 years maximum under perfect conditions lol.Thats why they spend so much money on the veyron because it was made for everyday use and to last as much as possible

The Veyron sucks. I bet it is no more reliable than a CCX or Aero. They both were designed with people that had a dream to build the fastest car yet be streetable. The Veyron was designed by a big company with people who don't give a f@*k about the car and just want to make more money.

Yeah it's a Swedish car but the CCR and CC8S use a FORD V8 with a single supercharger while the CCX and CCXR (US legal Versions) use a Koenigsegg V8 (a modified version of the previous Ford V8) and twin superchargers (~809HP for the CCX and ~1018hp for the CCXR which uses E85 Ethanol gas) It's a Swedish built car powered by American muscle...so to speak.

the ccx was beaten by the veyrun for top speed of any production car and then ford beat the pants on the veyrun with their Ultimate aero TT. it broke 257mph on an american highway and has the potential to break 270mph on a proper test track.

The SSC can be driven as a daily driver. It has all the standard luxuries of a mercedes-benz. It just isn't as nice because it was built to be faster in a straight line and around turns. You are just prejudice against american cars and don't look at facts.

WallyAAwsome the Ultimate Aero TT is built by a small company called Shelby Supercars which has nothing to do with Ford. Jarrod Shelby is not related to Caroll Shelby. In fact the SSC first used Chevy Corvette based engines but now they make their own. The rest of what you said is good.
