THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INFORMATIVE VIDEOS... I HAVE THE FLY SKY 9 AND WAS WONDERING WHAT YOU WOULD SUGGEST THE DUAL RATES AND EXPO SETTINGS TO BE SET AT THE HIGH RATE AND LOW RATE..... THANKS
when i operate the throttle, my flap servos move up and down, and i have them correctly plugged in. also, my landing gear wont open no matter what toggle switch i use. pls help
G'day! I have been using the JR9503, and just got the Turnigy 9x as a back up (or maybe primary Tx since I've been losing signal over the ocean and losing planes!)- looks like a great radio-- but I can't figure out how to program it! I am trying to assign the Aux3 pos switch to operate flaps, any idea!? Thanks!
Hi, Bruce! Question for yah? Do you think that my JR SX600 is compatible in master slave trainer mode with the Turnigy 9x V2 I just got from hobbyking with the normal jack cable. I do not want to burn out anything? Thanks in advance.
@000006rapture Unfortunately the JR uses different channel assignments (ie: the JR throttle is the 9X aileron and the JR aileron is the 9X elevator) so it's not really practical to use them together unless you reflash the 9X software to the excellent ER9X freeware. I'll be doing a video on performing this reflash in the new year.
@sergionew7 I would recommend it only if you convert it to the FrSky 2.4 system because for FPV use it pays to have a good failsafe capability and the standard 9X radio does not have failsafe.
@wookswealthy No they won't. In their standard form they will only bind with the Turnigy 8 channel, HobbyKing 6 channel and other V2 FlySky receivers. That's not a bad thing -- those receivers are very cheap and offer better interference rejection than any of the Spektrum DSM2 equipment.
Thanks...Bought this radio 2 mounths ago....No instructions, down loaded some on line...Ran into this problem...But after thinking about it, fugured it out...Every little bit helps...
Is it better to buy the FlySky version than the Turnigy version? It looks like the flysky has an FM Antenna, and then you can easily swap out the 2.4ghz cartrige, without having to wire up the new module to the Turnigy antenna?
hey there i really like the appearance of your imax 9x where did you get those knobs are they cnc? i would really like knobs like those for my transmitter.
Good afternoon. What is the role of other additional antenna I have a Flysky. and if I could give the address of the store where you bought exactly the same as samples in this video. Thanks
Thank you! remeberd this video now when my new radio keept beeping at me. Do you still use it and do you use the standard firmware or any of the custom ones?
@ripper9191 Yes, changing modes is pretty easy and I'll be doing a video showing how to do this very soon. It's just a case of moving a spring and the ratchet from between sticks and then selecting the required mode in the menus.
@RCModelReviews in regard to the 9x v2, is there any difference between the mode 1 and 2 apart from the knob spring? (eg im considering just buying a mode 1 and converting it since mode 2 seems to be out of stock more often :) )
is this version 1 or 2, and if so does the version two come with a module or do i need to get one also can it be used for 72/35MHZ with it aerial. Thanks mate
Hello sir, I was wondering if you knew of a 2.4 GHZ module I could purchase for this transmitter that would enable me to use my 2.4 GHZ HK- TR6A receivers.
This is actually a good feature. I do the same on my pre-power-on checks: All switches forward. It's the safe and hold position for all my stuff, be that helicopters planes.
Hi mate, what about that tx and maybe an rx to go with it as the give away comp?? or another set you think is a good but this is only a suggestion and i'm sure we would all be happy with what ever you want to put in as it can only help someone out in the long run ;-) 5*
@startazz Unfortunately I had to pay for the 9X with my hard-earned cash and I'm using it very regularly as my main RC transmitter right now so I'm keeping it. In fact, I'm looking to buy another because I think I may have a go at rewriting the software to fix the bugs and add some extra features.
@RCModelReviews Thats ok mate and i don't blame you, what ever you want to put in i'm sure we will all be happy mate and i'm sure you won't have any trouble sorting out a new one with rewriting the software,i just wish i had your skills mate ;-)
@KYIMGMG The range depends on the RF module and receivers being used.
With the FlySky module I found this system to be a "medium range" one, offering about 400m of range on the ground that would become more like 800m in the air.
With better modules/receivers the range will be much greater.
"Placing the transmitter approximately 1 meter above the ground, I walked the length of our local airfield (around 1,000 meters) with receiver in-hand."
@wallaguest1 As I said, it depends on what module/receiver you're using with this transmitter as to what range you get. With a good module/receiver you'll get well over 1,000m but with the original FlySky module/receiver the range is less.

Hi,
Would you like to test the range for this radio ??
Please.
KYIMGMG 1 year ago
@KYIMGMG The range depends on the RF module and receivers being used.
With the FlySky module I found this system to be a "medium range" one, offering about 400m of range on the ground that would become more like 800m in the air.
With better modules/receivers the range will be much greater.
RCModelReviews 1 year ago
@RCModelReviews
Hi,
offerinc 400 m of range on the ground?
but in your web i read you said:
"Placing the transmitter approximately 1 meter above the ground, I walked the length of our local airfield (around 1,000 meters) with receiver in-hand."
so at ground its 1000m of range or 400m?
thnksss

@wallaguest1 As I said, it depends on what module/receiver you're using with this transmitter as to what range you get. With a good module/receiver you'll get well over 1,000m but with the original FlySky module/receiver the range is less.
