  • How can it flash, "Minor Masterpiece"? I am 55 years old and when watched this the first time I had my hand over my mouth almost throughout the entire movie, sometimes it required two hands. However, my eyes were glued to the screen because I could not stop watching from beginning to end. This a classic, true masterpiece. The acting was perfection from all members of this family. I have never had a movie leave an imprint on me as this one has! Great, but tragic and heart wrenching.

  • This movie disturbed me to the core

  • you should review the exorcist

  • is there an award higher than the golden fury award

  • this is an english film, so it's not hollywood.

  • great movie! the difficoult part for me is that I still cant find the "bad" or the "guilty" character of the movie. for me they are all inocent people, and that left me with a sad, sad felling.

  • glenal- absolutely, It's hard to blame who really is at fault here. Ultimately it's up to you to decide but you definitely feel sad for this family.Notice the families response after everything that happened and what the fathers reaction was? He yelled at them for thinking ill of him. I know I was. Amazing story that's far more complex than the usual popcorn fluff that is given to us.

  • Thanks for the review.I like a good story that is more complex than the usual popcorn fluff that is given to us..It gets announying.

  • i watched this movie shortly after i watched your rant i thought this movie was going to be 2hrs anywho i just want to thank you for turning me onto this movie its a little crazy but good as fuck

  • I really loved the first Starship Troopers. Sure, the people who read the book might be disappointed and all, but I thought it had kickass action. I haven't watched the 2nd one though. Everyone keeps saying it's crap and that I should avoid it. So the thought of the 3rd one being good never came to me. But since you say it's very reminiscing to the 1st one, I might give it a shot.

  • Whoops, sorry I posted my Starship Troopers comment on the wrong video. Sorry about that.

  • Best horror flicks are from UK...

  • It's officially on my que.

  • nice to see you again fury!

  • I'd also like to know what song played at the beggining =D

  • I'm not casting any dispersions on your character, just stating my opinion. If you'd like feel free to remove my statement.

  • Um...I hate to say it, but this doesn't sound like a good movie at all to me. Sure it's 'inventive', but it doesn't sound like it's anything but a freaky, ugly, film.

What's the point of the film? To warn us away from crazies? To just confuse and disturb us?

I've seen plenty of these kinds of films in film school, and hated every one of them. My opinion (tons of people love movies like this)

  • I agree

  • I appreciate that quite a bit. Most people would have told me to shut up for being a hopeless conformist or something.

  • you spoke your opinion constructively, i think that is why you have not gotten a negative reply, and why fury respects these kind of comments

  • I'm glad it wasn't taken out of context. I do try to respect people even if I disagree (Fury's good at that!)

    Thanks for the encouragement.

  • What song plays in the beginning?

  • I've never seen this movie, but I think I'm gonna rent this. I agree that these pg-13 jhorror remakes are downright terrible. After I saw the Ring 2 I said, I'm done!

  • i couldn't even make it through the first ring, haha. good luck renting, i couldn't find it at blockbuster or hollywood vid.

  • the only good pg-13 horror movie that was remade from japan was the ring. actually, it wasn't really horror, it was more like mystery/thriller.

  • Can you review Burn After Reading? It has mixed reviews and I wanna know what you think because you're a reviewer I can trust.

  • i wanna see this movie now

  • me 2..

  • I absolutely love this film. This is one of the few movies that disturbed me. Great review.

  • now this looks like my kind of movie. This sort of reminds me of another indy movie i saw about a year ago, its about vampires, but the movie is very similar to this one, rather then being what you think it is given that its about vampires. its called "THE HAMILTONS" i think you may like it if you havent already seen it fury. Oh and being from N.Y. myself its only natural that you know of the crazy people in a subway or outside, if not then thats a bad move on ones part. lol

  • Hmmm, feels like a must watch. It also feels extremely familiar for me.

  • this is kind of like the one movie where an author gets injured in a car crash i think, and a fan takes him in and keeps him there while he is injured and doesn't let him go.

Don't remember the name, can anyone help me out here?

  • yeah i know what you mean....i think the film your on about is misery

  • its Misery

  • ya thats it!

  • Good review, ty.

    +
