  • wow. you walked wehn u were having a heart attack. ur a tough sum bitch

  • omg im so glad your ok god bless america and you

  • I have already suffered 2 heart attack & have what my phsyican calls dangerously high triglycerides & LDL, and i was told that if i do not get these levels under control i will have another. This did frighten me and i knew i needed to do something to reverse this damage. I knew plant sterols were powerful so i tried Sterolyn, and i'm very proud to say that my triglycerides have gone from 512 all the way down to 155. LDL count down from 240 to 132. Great product.

  • Can only imagine what that new blood flow felt like from being clogged with a bunch of gunk for so long.

  • I'm so glad you're alright...*phew!*

  • your a great person and you realy inspiered me.

  • Thank you for sharing this amazing heart felt story *****

    Hugs from the heart

    Rab

  • I am a 42 year old Congenital Heart Patient,

My defect is D-Transposition of The Great Vessels. Although this defect is a common occurrence, there are yet few, born between 1961-1971 who are yet amongst us. I seek those who have, had both the Hanlon-Blalock, and Mustard procedures, and yet possess their original hearts. I am also seeking, those who have received heart transplants, after being born with a congenital heart defect.

I now need a transplant. Seek those like myself.

    Thank You.

I just found you so Im realy glad to have been able to meet you! ;)

    Helives!

  • damn. a heart attack is the hardest thing i can imagine. i´m glad you´re fine!

  • Hi musosf. I stumbled across your video after watching a K80blog video that I saw on the 'now watching' thing on the front page of Youtube. Firstly, I hope you are doing OK. Secondly - this has sorta freaked me out a little bit - you aren't terribly overweight, so what were the contributing factors to you having the heart attack? You mentioned a kidney transplant... anything else? Is there a history in your family etc? Diet? Lack of exercise? How old are you? Sorry for the private questions!! :)

  • I'm so glad you're ok :) so glad!

  • Thank you so much! Me too.

  • Glad your better.

    Youtube is addicting

  • hospitals always have goodfood :)) glad your living :) I hate being in the hospital.

  • Thanks - yeah its definitely not the place you want to be. :)

  • That's a very nice video. It's nice to see someone really showing love.

  • Thank you! I'm lucky to have found a number of people here who show love on a regular basis. It's not all random dumb videos and trolls, thankfully. :)

  • People on YouTube just don't understand it, do they? It's like trying to tell a stranger about rock and roll. It's magic, and I believe.

I'm a new subscriber. Saw the link from Winger1212's hot for herds.

  • Yep, we've all drunk the Kool-Aid. :) Thanks a lot for subscribing! Wendy/winger1212 is FANTASTIC and I'm honored you found me through her.

  • dude i just had 0ne 5 days ago...hurt like hell i feel for u im off to the cardiologist tomorrow to find out the extent of the damage...we are both very lucky men....does the world seem clearer now to u...it does to me

  • I'm really sorry to hear that...the world definitely does seem clearer, and I consider it a lucky thing to have had and survived this at a relatively young age...gives plenty of time to change bad habits. I wish you the best, take good care of yourself.

  • ty i intend to...i have no insurance so u can imagine the subdtandard treatment i got....we wil just do enpough so u cant sue us and send u home to die

  • Thank you fpr sharing. My mother survived a quadruple bipass 5 yrs ago. She is now 72 and going as strong as ever. So God Bless you and yours and keep up the vids.

  • I'm glad to hear she did so well...I hope to be going strong as ever at her age as well! Thank you very much for the encouragement - it really helps.

  • Wassail!

Not only is it a hot, spiced punch often associated with winter celebrations of northern Europe, but the term itself is a contraction of the Old English toast wæs þu hæl, or "be thou hale!" (i.e., "be in good health")

So to you Mike, Get Well Soon :)

  • Thanks very much. What an interesting little tidbit to learn. I've sung an old madrigal that uses "wassail" before...and didn't know about the dual meaning. And I love etymology and linguistics. So thank you very much for the kind word and for the explanation of its origin!

  • Im so surprised I didn't see this vid, man I'm glad your feeling much better , my dad has had 3 heart attacks in a span of 10 years and its been hell each time, and still he wont stop smoking. anyway stay healthy and happy!

  • Thanks so much...I'm sorry to hear your dad and you have been through all of that. I'm really taking care of myself now because I never want my family to have to go through this again.

  • ... I found my best friend here and although he lives in the US we are so close. I will forward this video to him. His name Alberto, I'm sure he'll love it... thanks so much for making me realize once again that youtube gave me the opportunity to meet wonderful people. All the best to you. Much love, Diana :)

  • Diana, I'm so happy you shared your story with me. It's true - the biggest reason most of us are here is because of the amazing people we've met and the love and friendship we've built here. I'm so glad to hear you've found that too. Thanks and much love to you! - Mike

  • You're welcome Mike. The most important thing is that you're now ok again. I can tell you I know how it feels to get an heart attack, I've been through this already. The most beautiful thing is to know that you're loved and although you have to go through struggles and dark times like this... you are never ever alone. The thoughts of our friends are always around. That's what I've experienced on youtube. And I cherish this.. Feel my hug Mike! Diana :)

  • WOW!!! You are a lucky, lucky, man!!!! Blessings to you! I am so glad you are well now!! Thanks, Grams

  • Thank you so much Grams, and thanks for subscribing! I indeed am a lucky, lucky man. I'm grateful to have more time in this life to hopefully share some luck with friends and family.

And by the way, welcome to YouTube! I hope it brings you as much fun and smiles as it has to me. - Mike

  • "It's all one." - Amen!

I'm so happy you're alright!!! Thank you.

    Greetings from Germany!

  • Hallo Deutschland! Vielen Dank.

  • Whew, this is amazing. Glad you're alive, bud. Glad Rich had the sense to tell you to call 911, even though he thought it was just a broken leg.

    ~Trav

  • Yeah, pretty wild stuff! Thanks for watching, Trav.

  • im glad ur alive!

  • Thank you so much. It's great to be here.

  • Thanks for sharing an amazing story. As a multiple SVT patient, I found a lot to relate to. Sincerely glad that you're ok. Medical professionals are amazing. It takes only one ride in the ambulance to realize that.

  • Thank you for making your way through this long video and leaving such a supportive comment. For all the problems our healthcare system has, the talented people on the front lines are not part of that problem.

  • You're quite welcome. Be well ;)

  • search word vencarx

just a little fun thing give it a look

  • WOOW TAHTS OK

  • Man, glad you made it out ok!

    Hang tough,

    ~Welshaf :)

  • Thanks - I'm glad to be back, Welshaf!

  • You are right its just there is no way to explain.. welcome back to life dude.. u may not be able to have more friends than what u already have right now.. but keep in touch, Im new in YOU TUBE but used to have lots of online friends.. by the way, my name is Sally ( female - Egyptian - living in Dubai - business consultant..

  • Welcome to YouTube. Sally! Someday I'd love to go to Dubai - a stay at the Burj Al-Arab is something I must experience in my lifetime. And thanks so much for subscribing. I love meeting new people 'round here, and it pretty much all happens right here in the comments. You're going to love it here. And yeah, dancing alone is definitely hazardous to my health. Hahaha! :)

  • Thanks for your reply.. I would love to meet you in Dubai soon.. Frankly speaking I think you should get out of home and get more involved in the real world..

  • Thanks.

  • thank you so much for sharing your story. You are looking well. Here's to 2008! Susan

  • Hear here Susan! Thanks.

  • I just entered the youtube world and I am wondereing if it is ok to love the way i am loving it. The think that the balace is the clue. I have to tell you somethings, first I am so glad and happy because of you surviving this event.Secondly, I think you are such a sweet person and I would like to know you a little more...

  • Thank you so much, Dina! You're in good company - many of us here love this site and the people who post videos on it. Balance is important - it's really easy to forget about the rest of your life. :) I look forward to seeing you around more!

  • I just tried to post a video of a recent trip I went to but it took ages to upload so I had to stop the process, I am wondering if is there any faste way to post videos. Thanks for answering my comment and for sure I will make sure to be around more, I would love to have your comments on my videos!

  • Mike, you seem like such a way cool person. I;m soooo glad you are okay. we have been able to actually view a miracle of your precious life! what a gift! Especially to you, but also to us! Thanks Mike

  • Wow - what a wonderful thing to say! Thanks so much.

  • Mike - glad you came thru this ok. Was good to hear your story. Thanks for the part about Utube friends.. its good to hear that said. take it easy & take care wylie

  • Thanks a lot Wylie - it's about time the good people here got the credit they deserve.

  • I am new to you tube and just seen your vid. WOW. I think you are brave to post it on the web. I don't know how old you are but you seem very young to have a heart attack. I will be keepong a check on your site from now on though to see that you are ok. Keep well. stay off the junk food.:)

  • No more junk food for me...I've been good so far. Thanks a lot for checking in!

  • Glad you pulled through ok.

I'm curious to know if you remember anything in the weeks/months leading up to your heart attack that you didn't recognize at the time, that might have been warning signs...or was it completely out of the blue?

  • Not at all...maybe a bit of sluggishness/depression but not sure if that was related. Good question, I sure wish there had been warning signs I could pass on!

  • *hugz*

  • *hugzback*

    and thanks for subscribing!

  • YAyyyyy Mikes video is in the spotlight for people and blogs :D

  • Whoa, so it is! Thanks for letting me know!

  • I'm so glad you're feeling better. I was away for a couple of weeks and was shocked to hear you'd had a heart attack. You're an inspiration. :-)

  • Better to inspire than expire, I suppose. :) (Sorry, dark humor is a genetic trait in my family...)

  • mike...thanks for sharing your experience with us. you went through a very scary thing...you're very brave. so glad you're okay. take care of yourself. :)

  • Will do, Cyndie...I appreciate your thoughtful words.

  • You're right, no one gets this vlogging thing unless they've done it.

    Glad you're okay.

  • Thanks Syd! Yeah, 'tis a unique thing... :)

  • Just saw this. Hope you are taking it easy friend. I'm definitely glad that you are still here.

  • Thanks Ophelia! Very nice to see you.

  • It's amazing that they can make a little weeny camera travel through your body, hold a balloon that they blow up to open the artery and put a chicken wire cage in there. I have 2 stents and without this amazing procedure, I wouldn't be typing this. Peace and wellness to you.

  • Thank you and the same to you Bea! It's really been an inspiration to me, hearing of others like you who have been through this more than once and are vibrantly pushing forward. We are legion and we are strong. May you stay strong for many many years to come.

  • I only had one heart attack but 2 stents were needed to open the artery up....it was quite collapsed. :) Sometimes, you may seem very healthy on the surface but that damn cholesterol ruins things lol. High cholesterol + stress = heart attack....it's true what docs say. Stay strong

  • I'm so glad you're feeling better!!!

  • Thanks so much!

  • They used the defibrulator??? OMG! The planets were aligned, Mike, and I am so glad. You are the Uber-YouTuber!

  • They sure did, Beth...I called it "the paddles" in the video because I keep mispronouncing it. :) Thanks and let's keep on UberTubing! :)

  • Mike - I had no idea, I too have been kinda out of here, however, in a better place than you! I'm soooooo glad you are okay! So glad your partner was there for you,and that the fire dept. was right there. Take care of your heart, cuzz it makes soooooo many of ours glow!! :) P.S. I have heart condition too, listen to your doctors! :)

  • Aww...thanks a lot Lori. I know it's hard to keep up with everything here so I'm really touched that you came by. I'm being a good healthy boy these days. Glad to know I'm in good young and strong company! xo

  • I just finally got to see this Mike! Like I told you on the phone, I am soooooo glad that you are still here and able to tell us this story (and many more stories to come)!

Plus, I was just starting to get to know you, so you are not allowed to die. OK? :D

Talk to you soon. And Happy New Year/Life! :D

  • Dale, you're making me feel all mushy! :) Thanks a lot. Yeah, there's too much unfinished business for me. Looking forward to more hijinks in '08 and beyond, and very glad you'll be part of them.

  • I'm so glad you're back Mike!!! Love ya man!! : )

  • Love you dudette! Still cracking up over your Christmas videos. :)

  • glad you are back man. I am happy to hear you are feeling better.

  • Thanks a lot, Mike. It means a lot.

  • Wishing you health.

  • I really appreciate that.

  • So, so glad you are ok and here to tell the tail!!

Hope you continue with a speedy recovery!

    2reds

  • Thanks 2reds!

  • Mike, I am happy to see this video. You have been on my mind and in my heart. I am glad you are doing well, and it is nice to see all the love you are getting. It is richly deserved. I add mine to the list. Here's to a healthy 2008.

  • Hear here, Phil! It is wonderful to see you and I look forward to seeing you in person again this year. Thanks.

  • I know weve never met and I just recently found your channel but when i saw brians vid I wash shocked but I am happy you are well and are back here among friends which i sincerely hope we can become ! Welcome home!!

  • Thanks very much, KK. I'm really grateful to Brian for helping spread the news. And I'm grateful to you for subscribing. Looking forward to getting to know you.

  • I don't know you but I'm so glad you're okay! Holy crap! That's so scary! My dad had a heart attack when he was 30 and the doctors kept asking my mom what drugs he was on as well. He wasn't doing drugs, but the doctors were adament about this. Do you have high cholesterol?

  • I don't have high cholesterol but I haven't really been watching it very well, so I sure will be now! Thanks so much for wishing me well.

  • I hope you make a full recovery. Hopefully things will be better for you in the new year. I'll continue to pray for you.

  • I really appreciate that - I'm doing pretty well so far. Thanks for taking a look, and for subscribing!

  • Wow, I've haven't been check'n out this stuff in a while but I'm thankfull you are ok!

    -Be Well

    Ben

  • Hey thanks a lot Ben! Bean somebody with a snowball for me, would ya? :)

  • thanks for making the video - you're a tough cookie. this really touched me. all the best man... more people need to see this

  • Thanks Nick - I'm not done making videos yet so I had to be a tough cookie. :)

  • you tube is a better place because of you mike and thank you for sharing your story with us! take care & love mareike

  • Aww, Mareike - thank you! And Happy New Year to you and your goofy guy.

  • Damn. Sorry you went through this (are going through this).

I was like "why didn't I see this before" and realized, duh, you're not subbed to him, fool. I saw Spokenlife's video. I feel you though. I had a lesser thing last week and was in the hospital for a day.

  • Hey Xelander - great to see you and thanks for subscribing! I hope you're feeling better...these things really hit you out of nowhere, don't they?

  • Yeah, I don't want to accept it, but I am getting old...der...older...than yester...day ... a little... a day older than yesterday, yeah, just one.. :)

glad you're feeling better HAPPY NEW YEAR

  • Hi Mike, I found you through spokenlifes video response to you, and I wanted to wish you well and to get better soon!

  • Many thanks! Robin is one of the most precious gems on the Tube, and I'm honored that you found your way here via her video.

  • i found this video through spokenlife's reply to you. i never would have known you even existed were it not for me checking her vids from time to time. i will say that i am glad that you came through your experience and are doing well. you look well and seem like a good person who values people and relationships. i'm sure God will continue to bless you!

  • I have oceans of respect for Robin and it means a lot to me that people who follow her videos would come here and spare a few kind words. Thank you very much.

  • Mike, this is my first time seeing your videos. I dont know you at all...my heart goes out to you. Honestly, I am so glad you are still alive and smiling as you are. God said it wasnt time yet for you to come "home". So, he sent you back to spread the word. I hope you continue to get better. Take care. ^__^*

  • Thank you so much. Robin speaks highly of you and that means a lot as far as I'm concerned. I really appreciate you coming over and wishing me well...it's the kind of thing I never anticipated when coming on this site and yet it is now what I treasure most here. We have such potential to give each other a helping hand and it is so heartwarming to see people such as you fulfilling that potential.

  • Now, that means a whole lot and I really appreciate it. Robin speaks of me? Reeeally? hehehe! That makes me blush. lol! Well, I appreciate you both very much. And thats the honest truth. ^__^*

  • Why would anyone click a thumbs down (negative red -1) on this comment? See, that's why I don't like this bizzare comment system. If someone has a beef with me, just have the guts to comment. Then I can take them apart in my comment or in a video :) Happy New Year

  • My thoughts exactly. I made a video about someone being after as I stuck for a person they didnt like. Its really childish...and its getting old.

  • Mike! I had no idea!!! I just found this by chance searching on "Cosmicity". I'm SO glad you're okay. How horrible. Thanks for posting the story, it was really amazing to hear about/see. Take care of yourself!

  • Thanks Mark - I'm doing fine and taking it easy. Thanks so much for saying "yes" to using your tunes...I promise next time it will be for something a lot more fun. :)

  • your faking dude!

  • Wow, it only took 5 days for someone to come up with that one. YouTube is nothing if not predictable. :) Happy new year to you!

  • Dude, its awesome that you can talk about it, i would be like, I WANT SYMPATHY NOW! But youre definitely alot cooler than me, so yeah, its a massive relief to find your okay m8 ;)

  • Hahaha - I got lots of sympathy, trust me. I'd prefer chocolate. :) Happy new year! And I sincerely doubt that I'm cooler than you.

  • This was beautiful. You are such a nice guy. I have been a subscriber of Brian's for awhile, and now I look forward to getting to know you, too. I'm so happy that you'll be around now for me to get to know.

    Joanie

  • Hi Joanie - I'm glad you liked it. I'm honored to have one of Brian's subscribers come over and subscribe to me too. He's so freaking talented. Welcome and thanks for subscribing! - Mike

  • :) Thanks lamps - but I can't help it! Happy Christmas (oops too late) - Happy New Year!

  • glad you are alright!!!

I wish you a good health for 2008!!!

    JAck

  • Thanks a lot Jack! Happy new year.

  • I forgot to say Mike, I have been getting chest pains for months and kind of like missing a heart beat every so often. Got it checked out after hearing about your heart attack...its been worrying me so muvch but been 2 scared 2 get it looked at. Its fine the doc said :) Hope you had a great christmas, snogs to Rich please ;)

  • Snogs delivered, and I'm glad you went to the doc. I think most of us take our health for granted so it's good to learn to act on anything unusual before it worsens. Christmas was lovely, I hope yours was as well Deb! ((hugs))

  • WOW! When I saw you drop it just totally gave me the chills...glad that you're better! Thanks for sharing. :)

  • Thank you for watching! It was good that I had the footage, it gave me more insight into just how bad it had gotten how soon.

  • I have watched this a couple of times, you have just been on my mind!

Sending you a email as soon as I can get away from the kids!!!!!!

    BIG *gentle* HUG!

    TD

  • Aww, Tracey Dawn - it is always a pleasure to hear from you. I hope all of you had a fantastic Christmas.

  • Very well said, Dulce. I hope you don't mind if I quote you on that last beautiful sentence.

The profession you're studying for is a noble one. My nurses were so compassionate and caring, I will never forget them.

  • Of course you can, and thank you. I'm studying nursing because several made a difference in my life once, too. I'm sure they won't easily forget you, either.

  • Thanks for watching the whole long thing, Tony! Merry Christmas to you.

  • Thanks Beau - hope your holidays are full of fun too, and here's to 2008!

  • Thanks Lindsay! Had to make sure I stuck around for SouthTube 2. :)

  • Me too, so that I could post this video and see nice comments like yours. Happy holidays!

  • Thank you for watching, and for the kind words. Happy holidays!

  • I've gotten ten times back whatever I put out there by sharing this. Thank YOU for your kind words and prayers. Merry Christmas to you!

  • Oh I don't think I'll EVER learn that lesson...

    Thanks a lot! Happy holidays!

  • I love you Andrea - Merry Christmas!

  • I do intend to lay that burden upon you...thanks for bearing it. :)

  • Thank YOU so much for watching, favoriting and uploading a wonderful response video! Hope you and those gawjus kids are enjoying the holidays.

  • You know it April! Cardiovascular exercise is good for me so I fully intend to be dancing it up at some gatherings this year.

  • Not sure exactly how that happened but yes, there were burst capillaries in both of my eyes. Almost gone now.

  • oh, well thats good that they are going away now, i knew a kid who had that problem with his eye for his whole life, never goes away but yours will

  • Yeah now that it's out of the way I'll try not to make it a habit. :) Happy holidays Sara!

  • Thanks TG! I'm on the dark chocolate thing pronto. :)

  • Thanks a lot for taking a minute to say so - I'm very lucky. Happy holidays!

  • Thanks!

  • Haha - yeah, I realized that unfortunate choice of words during editing. It's hard to talk about a heart attack and about feelings in the same video without some crossover! :)

  • Thanks for watching this looong thing! :)

  • I don't think I've ever seen a heart attack vlog, thats a pretty crazy story man. I'm glad you're ok, it takes some balls to put up a video documenting such a serious thing in your life.

  • Yeah, what was I thinking? :) Thanks a lot.

  • Holy cow, that's the scariest story I've heard in a long time. I'm so glad you were able to get help in time. You look great.

Maybe it's time to take up a slightly less strenuous style of dancing... or possibly shuffleboard.

Take care of yourself! We need you here.

  • Hmm...the challenge: make an entertaining YouTube shuffleboard video. :)

On the other hand, the dancing probably isn't that entertaining either. I think I'll stick to wigs, costumes and songs. :)

Thanks so much for being here!
