Well done! You made a very nice cover! The guitarist does a very good job and the voice is sweet and expressive. I would suggest not the skip on that minor 7th while singing "..NEWS.." it's one of the interesting thing happening throughout the song and in my opinion it needs to stay there as in the original, just like a signature. Your choice doesn't sound as much interesting as Patty's so it's wiser to keep the original until you find your own "intriguing" solution. Keep up the good job!
