What *is* it with all these stories where the cops just can't be bothered? First it's "you have to wait 24 hours" -- OK, I see the logic behind that -- but here you've got a bunch of cops who can't even *pretend* they give a damn, so they make a snap judgement on what she's done.
gloria i don't mean to put you down hindsite is 20/20 and i'm sure if you thought she would have ended up dead you would have went and got her.but i think dan dan and chuck know what happened to her.i think they killed her.
chuck knows exactly what happened to april and he's just not telling.wasn't her suitcases still at chucks house. yes they were.but if i had been her mother to hell with that move i'd been on a plane bus or car to get there to get my child before they could have hurt or killed her.
Why is it that people on here don't understand? April is a young mother who is going through a hard emotional time. Those bashing her on here, obviously have a lack of life experience, have no idea what it's like to be in April's situation and have NO empathy
@hans1066 Probably not a coincidence at all. Sure there were a lot of pissed off people from that if what the guy said was true. 32 people got convicted according to him.
@mic2005,If you knew me, you'd know that I do not have a superiority complex. What I do have is intelligence! Why would I want to ingest, smoke or shoot something that would alter my behavior while killing my brain cells etc. That isn't being superior, that's just using the common sense that God gave me!
It amazes me how many are so quick to judge someone with a drug problem. In most cases, a person starts using drugs to deal with horrible emotional pain in their lives, and then it becomes torturous to try and stop using the drug. So many drug addicts desperately want to get of the drug, and try and try, but ail due to the hell of withdrawal. Anyone who has struggled with the hell of addiction would NEVER act as though it's the person's "fault." I would not wish addiction on my worst enemy.
@katieblackford1, No, I have not lived the high life, I have struggled and still do, more than you could know. However, I did not turn to drugs! That IS a choice. It has nothing to do with the area she was in.Its all about choices we as humans make.I have made plenty of mistakes in life, but I never turned to drugs. She DID have the choice to go home, she CHOSE not to! She CHOSE not to be with her children, drugs were more important, so I have no sympathy for that.
@judy4justice: I think it's interesting that you say you've made mistakes in your life, but yet "I did not turn to drugs." Why are your mistakes somehow less "bad" than someone who turns to drugs??? You truly come off as a woman on a self-created pedestal. You allow yourself to feel "better" than others, and it's all in your own head. Go to an NA meeting; read more about real people who struggle with addiction. If you have a heart, you might rethink your superiority complex.
@judy4justice: U r absolutely right...can't agree more! And I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKIN ABOUT (I'm "stabil" now...means: in a program and no "additional consumption" anymore...then my shit I daily need...tho far away from bein sober of course)! That's why I CAN say it is in fact a CHOICE - a bad in my case but one we all have the chance to chose - or not to...:-)
@judy4justice You're absolutely right. Choices make us who we are. But there is something called unconditional love, it would benefit all of us to become that and everything it entails, for our own personal growth.
this woman seems to have helped put people away for years and years because she couldn't take responsibility for a DUI charge. That's so disgusting I could puke.
@MrHateregistering That's right. She helped the government put human beings into cages who did nothing but offer a product that the market obviously wanted. Some of them probably stayed for a very long time. I find that to be extremely cowardly, all because she didn't want a dui? It's sad that she disappeared, but what did she expect? I'd rather have a dui on my "record" than snitch out a bunch of people who did nothing to me & be looking over my shoulder for the next 70 years. She was an idiot.
She should have ran when her mom offered her a bus ticket home. That's her mistake. Not sure what her motive was for moving out there in the first place instead of being near her kids. And her mother looks like a former druggie herself. April was just reliving her mom's legacy.
I'm sure she just went crazy because she lost custody of her children. I would. Although I would be camped out, trying to catch glimpses of them.

Her Mother is very much like her.She did the same things when she was younger. She tries to blame Aprils problems on her bi polar disorder, but the girl is a drug addict. She chose this life! You can't help someone in this position unless they want help! Sad, but for the children, not her.
Why is everyone feeling so sorry for this girl? She chose to stay there, she could have gone home, but she chose to continue in the lifestyle, rather than be a Mother to her children. They are the ones we should feel sorry for.
@judy4justice i really dont like any of the comments you have made. i dont know you but you have probably lived the high life and never had to struggle for anything in your life. i live out in the same area april disappeared from and to live out here you have to be a stong individual inside and out and april was . people get sucked in this desert and its like quick sand. lets see you be homeless out here in the desert and see how long you make it and who you get involved with who you meet.......
@katieblackford1 Nope, your argument is weak. Ive lived out here in the high desert most of my life and i'm still here. This place is ugly and hot and while it is true that work opportunities are rare, it is possible to survive without ending up on the street and on drugs. Excuses excuses excuses, homelessness and drugs are everywhere. When a person has the will to live and survive and be a good mother and citizen, it is possible anywhere, even in Barstow and Newberry Springs.
@katieblackford1 You don't like her comments? Well I'm sure tons of people probably don't really like yours. This comment is WEAK, she went there on her own. She didn't grow up there, she didn't have to go there but she chose to. She befriended a bad group, no one forced her to do shit. She made bad choices in her life and I know everyone makes mistakes but when you keep making bad mistakes, what do you expect? No one deserves that but when you put yourself in that position well that's on you.
@jenzeppelin I know. It is bad enough to have a life end up in death at such a young age, but to have so much pain leading to it... poor woman never got a break.
