  • check on my channel for awesome harry potter stuff!

  • "And then with a little shudder the elf became quite still, and his eyes were

nothing more than great glassy orbs, sprinkled with light from the stars they

    could not see."

  • seeing all this comments about how much everyone loved Dobby... im thinking I should give the Harry Potter series another try : (

  • sooo sad :( Dobby, Fred and Professor Snape shouldn't have died :'(( why did they die !!

  • ''Dobby is ... happy ... to be with his friend ... Harry ... Potter...''

    Dobby's last words.

    On his grave was written:

"HERE LIES DOBBY, A FREE ELF"

    We all love you, dobby.

  • As sad as Snape's death is, I feel like Dobby's is the saddest mainly because of how innocent he is. It's almost like a little kid sacrificing himself/herself for someone.

  • @CinematicGalaxy Both were sad this I will agree with Snape hit me harder than Dobby however. I think seeing how important Snape truly was from beginning to end and how much he truly loved Lilly made it kinda eh but seeing everything else. Even how he knew in the end he'd be forced to kill Dumbledore despite how highly he respected the man.

  • @reclaimer036 Snape's was heartbreaking for sure; I think the reason I found Dobby's slightly sadder is because it was just so much more unexpected for me. But yeah, Snape's death (and memories) was VERY tough to read. Heck, I'm rereading the book, so eventually I'll get to that point again. :)

  • the real thing that make you cry IS SOAP DEATH

  • Such a beautiful place, to be with friends. Dobby is happy to be with his friend. *Dramatic Pause*

    Harry Potter

Saddest scene in the whole movie :(

  • Scratch that. Saddest scene in the whole series. Dobby was the last person that deserved to die.

  • @omgdude1011

    Exactly!

It wasn't even really his fight. But he stood up.

  • I always cry my eyes out at that scene... :(

  • This is music, indeed. This is what I like to listen, and I'm a 14 year old boy.

  • Bella was a true bitch.

  • this is soooo sad.....

  • heartbreaking

  • This get's me every time. Dobby was one of the most inoccent characters in Harry Potter, and he gave his life for his friends... A true hero, and a free elf

  • Related videos "Bella punch Jacob in the face."

Sums up the whole series xD

Oh, and this is amazing <3 I wish I could play it on piano! :)

  • RIP Dobby )*:

  • Now this, this is music.

  • It want this song played at my funeral for sure. It's so touching an emotional and beautiful and it reminds me of my daddy

  • first dobby then fred *cocks shotgun* JK is going to pay!

  • @mrsraddliffe more like first Sirius, then the rest but I know how u feel :'(

  • This is the most played track on my iPod - love this piece of music!

  • I got tears in my eyes every time I watch this part of the movie.

Such beautiful music for such a sad part.

Dobby was not the caracter were it goes about but in the movie he shows everyone what true friendship is and how it really must be. he also fight for his freedom and i think it is a great thing he did . even he is not real.

  • very very beautiful song <3 and my favorite i think

    so sad :'(

  • -Here lies Dobby. A free Elf-

  • WHY SHOULD DOBBY DIE WHY SADFACE

  • Poor dobby ;-; But I love this scene. It's beautiful <3

  • Dobby you are a true inspiration for all the people around the world. You taught us to live freely! SO FLY AND BE FREE!

  • Does the part at 2:36-2:44 remind anyone of another score? I swear I've heard that same string of notes played in another major movie but I just can't remember which one. Anyone have any ideas?

  • @Jordandahl16 Yes I think so too! It reminds me of Pocahontas :)

Such sad but beautiful song..!! Dobby, a forever free elf!

  • 1:41 and forward: chills every time O.O

  • J'ai pas trouvé une seule musique de HP qui n'est pas géniale

  • In Chamber of Secrets, Harry wanted Dobby to promise that he will never save his life again--Dobby just smiled, he never gave word. In the seventh book, Dobby saved Harry's life again, costing his life. That there is true friendship, and Dobby is a symbol of it. That's why he was my favorite.

  • we played this in orchestra at school the other day :D we just sight read it and as I was playing it i got really sad cuz it sounded so pretty :(

  • "It was like sinking into an old nightmare; for an instant Harry knelt again beside Dumbledore's body at the foot of the tallest tower at Hogwarts, but in reality he was staring at a tiny body curled upon the grass, pierced by Bellatrix's silver knife. Harry's voice was still saying, "Dobby... Dobby..." even though he knew that the elf had gone where he could not call him back."

  • This song is very important for me..I like it much!

  • the game aRNT AS GOOD AS THEY LOOK

  • Wow It Sounded Like Someone Just Breathed In At 0:26 ? And And Somemore Part Too.

But I Love Harry Potter And It's Music (: Makes The Experience More Better! <3

  • I agree with the top comment that we will all miss the thrill of the wait of each next film, but when I come to think of it.. I see 7(+1) films always there for us.. in HD, never going away.... and we have the books to come to every 2-3 years. Sometimes I wish J. K. Rowling was the fan and not the writer, just so she sees how bad it is when you read the last edition of The Daily Prophet.

  • Isn't that one of the saddest moments... isn't that one of the saddest HP tracks... I'm 32 and I really wish there are 50 more HP books :(

  • @maadguitarboy

    or a book...

  • You guys think Rowling is bad when she kills of a character, clearley you've never read Game of Thrones.

  • @isleofcars10

maybe they can both be sad- why do they have to compete?

  • I think this song matches every bit of sadness we all encounter T.T so beautiful

  • So Beautiful ! :'( Harry Potter is the best and Magical Series At The World ! It's Finish ! :'( Noooooooooo ♥♥

  • Man Everyone Get's Thumps Up But Me.. >.<

But it's All About The Music right.? Right? O.o

Just Kidding Yeep I Love Harry Potter and to my class mates Harry Potter Will Never end.. I Talk About it everyday' :O

  • Dobby's more than just an elf. He's a free elf!

  • it makes me wanna cry. So beautiful <3

  • so beautiful

  • To be perfectly honest, if Dobby appeared in more movies like in the books, than his death would have been much more depressing. :(

  • @aLaMode298 I suppose the people who read the books understood what a monumental occasion it was anyway. It helps better if you see the films as accompaniments to the books as opposed to alternatives, it helps loads in terms of continuity.

DH:P1 and P2 were both phenomenal though. They decided to stay faithful to the books at the right time, and any changes they made were perfect for the film transition.

  • @aLaMode298 I agree but if you're like me and read all of them then it was depressing.

  • In my opinion, this scene was the most emotional in the entire series. The poetic setting of the beach accompanied by Desplat's beautiful score perfectly captured the emotion of Dobby's death...It was truly a wonderful scene. It's a shame that Part 2, while still very very strong, failed to recreate such a quietly emotional and graceful moment!

  • This makes me think of Lupins and Tonks deaths which were (in my opinion) the saddest ... or one of the saddest... I don't know why, I think it's because they'd recently gotten a baby and than just died :'(

  • <3

    i love this song!

  • for some reason, his death was by far the saddest to me.

  • I'm gonna learn how to plan this on the flute. :)

  • 164579 views? why youtube counts only my views??

  • @Starkiller1196

    Now it's 165,562!

  • Alexandre Desplat says Dobby was his favorite character in the books. I'll bet he was fighting back tears as he composed and conducted this beautiful heartbreaking track.

  • @mkc92ingc I'm sure of it. Hooper said that he cried scoring a couple of scenes in OOTP and HBP. He was shaking when he recorded the music of the Voldemort possessing Harry in OOTP. Also, Hooper is a fan of the books just like Desplat. I think that only Williams and Doyle we're the ones who never read a HP book (though Williams has read the first book to his grandaughter) or watched any other film of the saga except the ones they scored.

  • @yonythemoony Even if Williams and Doyle didn't read the books, we still respect their music.

  • @mkc92ingc and nicholas hooper

  • Harry Snape and Dobbys death were the saddest in series.....Freds was sad in the book not in the film but i did like how they focused on Harrys reaction to Fred, Tonks and Lupin dying....Daniel Radcliff did an excellent job with his emotions in that...you felt sorry for him

  • @TheMalMal2003 he took extra acting classes between shoots

  • RIP. The first Free Elf to ever live....

  • Now I kind of know how Harry felt... my pet birdie died today... I had to bury him...

  • @VenomShock sorry :(

    RIP

  • @mahatoo117 Thanks.

I did it properly, without magic.

  • Poor Dobby.. the text on his stone: Here lies a free elf just broke me up all over again in part 2 ;_;

  • @ a lot of people, it's Sirius not Serious. just so you know :) but I can't get over how beautiful this song is. And how much I cry every time i hear it...:/

  • It's music like this that makes us mourn for fictional characters. You feel attached to a character, and he/she dies in a tragic way. That is good writing, and honestly I think that's the reason we cry over fictional characters.

The first time I saw Dobby's death, I almost cried. Second time, tears came down... Now, I feel a lump in my throat if I hear this music. I am not ashamed of it.

  • This music is making me cry ;-;

    Beautiful though.

  • the deaths i cried at in harry potter : Serious, Hedwig, Snape, Dobby, Dumbledore and Fred.

I did cry at Cedrics death but as soon as i found out rob went to twilight i turned them tears into laughter n thought FUCK U CEDRIC, U DESERVED TO DIE!

  • @abzster98 Same here about Cedric's death except I go "Don't kill him...wait hes gonna be a sparkly vampire YAY WORMTAIL!"

  • @abzster98 i didn't just cry at fred's death i stood up in a theatre packed with people and yelled out "MY FREDDIE KINS!" I regret nothing

  • @mrsraddliffe I went to see breaking dawn wit my mam and right in the middle of the sex scene i stood up n shouted " TEAM POTTER YOU NOBHEADS " Lol. My mam just moved 2 seats down ;D

  • @abzster98 LOL when i yelled it out a little kid went "he's not even real" my friend had to hold me back or i would have gone hermoine granger on that kids ass!

  • @mrsraddliffe :O Descirbe the kid to me and name and wot city/town you live in. I'll track that thing down!!! >:D

  • @Ryuuhanna i thought i was the only one who noticed that xD

  • Such a beauitful place...to be with friends... Dobby is happy to be with his friend ... Harry Potter...

  • Are u guys crying while thumbs upping peoples comment..coz i sure see lots of comment get thumbs up.

  • long live Dobby, A Free Elf.

  • Is it just me or is this the sadest movie when I cried the most?

  • I cried so hard. That seat, that theater, has probably never seen that many people cry in one place. I'll remember my seat because well... I was the 7th chair in that row. And the emotion in every character during that scene was just perfect. I shouldn't ever meet anyone with name Bellatrix. It would end badly.

  • I cried so hard when Fred, Dobby, and Snape died. When Dobby died I was slipping out of my theater chair crying, same for Snape and Fred. This song makes me cry so hard when I hear it.

  • Dobby: it's a good place to be with frends

    R.I.P. dobby a free elf

  • The most I've cried for was when Dobby died. When I 1st read the Deathly Hallows, I literally cried really hard.

  • I couldn't stop my tears :'( I felt like dobby was my friend too. I cried so much I couldn't even see and everything was a blur with tears streaming down my face.

  • "Such a beautiful place....to be with friends."

When I read Harry Potter, I do feel like I'm with friends.

  • the*

  • i sad bit was watching everyone crying...

  • I would never imagine being so upset over a fictional character, but every death in the Harry Potter series was harder to take in. The fact that the movies are over, and there wont be any new ones coming out hits me when i listen to these soundtracks, or when i read the books. I am proud to be a part of the Harry Potter generation...

  • This was my favorite character of all time i couldnt believe it...

  • I really hope they dont remake the franchise when im older and with my kids :/ It sseriously could never get better than this !!! I will miss hearing the latest movie comming out :( When i saw the Warner Bro's sign in part 1 and 2 I balled my eyes out and didnt stop :O I will miss harry potter :(

  • @TiaTigerxxoo omg....i did the exact thing....lyke as soon as the WB sign came on....i knew i was about to watch the last hp EVER MADE.....i could not believe it-the best part for me was the ending.....that actually had me balling. to see everyone grown and have their own kids. it hit me that this is it..i lOVED IT

  • It sounds a little like LOTR soundtrack at 2:34 - 2:42:) Bloody brilliant:)

  • its funny how a fictional character could bring us to tears. Yeah he may have been fake, but in our minds and hearts he was a real as our best friend. I think it is because we put so much of ourselves into things we hold dear they are real to us, even if we know that they are not. We loved dobby because he was us compantionate, truthful, and always willing to help. Even though i know hes not real, he for certain is not artificial..........

  • I loved Dobby :'( a free elf !

  • Such a beautiful place...to be with friends.

    Dobby is happy to be here with his friend Harry Potter ;___;

  • It's like Dobby actually died in my arms. :'(

  • The music stunning. They out did themselves with these last two films. It deserves the Oscar next year. I don't care what comes out this Christmas. HP is the highest grossing movie saga that alone it deserves it. Alan Rickman and the whole cast were magnificent. What an actor Radcliff has turned out to be. This music made me cry it reminds me of the loved ones I have lost and that they were there with me when we went to see the 1st HP movie back in 2000.

  • already in the book was limited but if i cry in the movie.....

  • Sir you must wake up or sir will miss his 2nd task

    - Dobby The House-Elf, Goblet of fire

  • @suleman021 Fuck You

  • @suleman021 shut up asshole

  • Stupid bellatrix...killed poor little dobby! Thats ok...Molly Weasley gets that butt in Part 2!!

  • @JuicyJuice1116 haha true :)

  • The speech dobby says for his final words. Very touching indeed. :'(

  • I love Alexandre Desplat, he's so expressive! Bravo!

  • opening chords sound like 505 by arctic monkeys :)

  • i cried a bit but i felt really sad

  • So sad :(

  • lord jk ggone really mad

  • gud 1

  • I won't believe Dobby is dead until I see his grave.

  • @obiwankenobi2nd Haha, the beginning of Part 2 shows it :P Better close your eyes when you watch it!!

  • @Tiniomos Yeah, I saw it already. It was heart-wrenching. I really like how that's the scene they opened the movie with, though. Last Tribute to Dobby.

  • @obiwankenobi2nd I suppose this means you have not read the seventh book or watched the eighth movie?

  • @bookercreator No: the scene I meant was when the 8th movie starts and you see Dobby's grave: Here Lies a Free Elf.

  • Was J.K. Rowling going through a depression when she wrote the last book? Seriously, a shit load of awesome characters just die. :(

  • @9ssgoku actually, she was when she finished it

  • Until hes death...I cant believe he is dead...

  • i can´t believe is over. but the final of the part 2 , i guess so that´s miss a lot of action.

  • The only death I found sadder than Dobby's was Snape's in the final part which was perhaps the saddest scene in the entire series.

  • @MascotNie I almost cried when he said the thing about his eyes (I don't want to say the quote directly to totally spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen the second part yet), and I NEVER cry. Snape <3

  • Comment removed

  • @MascotNie Agreed, 'cept I was pretty sad bout Fred too.

  • @MascotNie The saddest part for me was when Fred died. I cried my eyes out...

  • @MascotNie The saddest scene in the series was Dumbledore's death, hands down.

  • @MascotNie Or when Snape was crying when he found Lily's body

  • @MascotNie What about the scene when Serious Black dies? I think that every Potter fan were like, "oh my god, he can't just die? Not now, when Potter finally have found someone he can call family!"

  • @MascotNie I think the saddest scene in the entire series was the one when Harry looked back at more memories in Dumbledore's office after the first Battle of Hogwarts

  • @MascotNie nobodys death was sadder than dobby's!!!

  • @MascotNie Snape's Memory was much sader...

  • @MascotNie

Yeah, the tale of the prince is absolutely the saddest scene in the whole series.

I've cried my eyes out in the cinema xD

  • @MascotNie Amen ♥

  • @MascotNie THANK-YOU FOR SPOILING IT DUDE!

  • "Harry Potter"

such a great and emotional moment.

  • Both in the book and the movie this part made me bawl my eyes out. This song has such emotion (in my opinion) that it makes it that much more heart-wrenching. Ughhh! ;_;

  • 10 people are Malfoys

  • why couldn't it have been creature who was killed??? Whyyyy .....

  • R.I.P Dobby. You were always my favorite character :'(

  • "What a beautiful place to be with friends... Dobby is happy to be with his friend Harry Potter..."

Farewell Dobby, the best character in the whole Harry Potter series...

  • farewell.. dobby

  • Dobby feels happy to be with his friend...Harry Potter

  • this scene makes me piss out my face, (CRY)

  • Rest in Peace Dobby

    11/15/02 Threw 11/19/10

  • @Sodapopper100 ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?

    Dobby, a free elf.

    28/05/???? - ??/03/1998

  • @Grupo02 he was born june 27 not may 28

  • Harry Potter 7 turned out to be terrific. witnessed it via watchharrypotter.us.

  • At least he died with Friends. And a free elf. :)

  • Dobby's Last Words: Harry Potter

  • TAKE MY TEARS, ALL OF THEM.

  • I have never cried so much in my entire life as I did when Dobby died.

  • The part of the scene that made tears begin to well wasn't even when I saw the bloody dagger being held in Dobby's hand as he began to stumble; what really made the tears begin to flow was when Harry buried him. Just seeing a free elf be put away in the earth gives me a depressing feeling inside, and to that, I'll miss you Dobby.

  • I will not cry. I will not cry. I'm not crying.

  • just listening to this make me cry :'(
