  • the majority of comments seem irrelevant. In the Chen tradition, wich is more vibrant and expressive, the differences of style, called "expressions" are not a problem. The issue is allways the principles (mindwise&bodywise). At the end every movement leads to numerous applications and finally no form at all. They are not so hysteric about the form.

AND for someone who practises for some time they are not as different as you might think...

  • Beautiful music and awesome performer Master WangXian. But this clip seems too short and incomplete. Please upload version as this video ended so abruptly.....plse share full length of music and performance.thanksHKG Taiji!

  • Inside the Chen taichi arena in China...everything is seen as competition.Seems all never get together well? Really bad as what one can see...all out to outbeat ecah other by venturing overseas to start training schoold to promote themselves and at same time to make money......too money minded andas a results Chen taichi seems so messy inside and outside!

  • @AlahMak118 what are you talking about in regards to not getting along well? Why is going overseas to teach tai chi a bad thing? Why is making money a bad thing? I don't understand...

  • ............oh damn i wanna sleep now~~

  • Thanks, wushu297. I now know where they come from.

  • What is it? Very different from Chen Zhenglei's version as shown on Youtube. Who is the real one? Can anyone help?

  • There is no real one. The four successors to the lineage (Wang Xian, CHen Xiaowang, Chen Zhenglei, and Zhu Tiancai) all do it differently, and they all claim that theirs is the most perfect one. It's a political contest that has no bearing over the actual routine, which has been modified significantly over the decades even prior to the four grandmasters learning them. So just pick the one you like the best :-)

  • @TJcrazyhorse they both studied with the same two teachers... Wang Xi'an, Chen Zhenglei, Chen Xiaowang, and Zhu Tiancai were considered the "four tigers" of Chen style taiji and they all learned from Chen Zhaopei and Chen Zhaokui. Any variations would probably be due to personal preference and personal understanding. I will ask Master Chen Xiao Wang why there is so much variation between the "four tigers" of Chen taiji and get back to you on that though...

  • Absolutely gorgeous. A real master at work. Bravo! Does anyone know what CD the music is from? It's great. It would work just as well with the other taiji styles like Yang, Sun, Wu, and Zhaobao not to mention possibilities for the xinyi quan and bakua quan.

  • master Wang Xian is my teacher`s teacher

  • great!

  • wow...there's nothing more beautiful then chen tai chi played by this song.

  • I need that song! Anywhere I could get it???
