Early learning is worth every penny and will pay dividends in developing your child's potential! I started out with YBCR but my kids never graduated to sentences or decoding new words from the DVD's. When I tried Little reader, my daughter picked up hundreds of new words in just 2 months and began decoding new words by 19 months old. My son did the same! Visit my channel for details. Use code BKAFF40902 combined with STARTEARLY5 to save 15 percent. My only regret is not starting SOONER!
I wish I could show you all what my 20 month old knows from these videos...I am amazed everyday, she can read almost 500 words and knows all of her shapes including pentagon and octagon and all of her colors and can count to 30. These are not things I would have thought to teach her but because of this program I did. She also knows her alphabet and recognizes all letters. I tell everyone who sees her doing these things that any child can do it and if they want help teaching there child ( which
My daughter uses this dvd set and she can talk plain as day almost and shes only 16 mths. She loves dancing and singing to the music. And she repeats and does the motions for most of it.. I dont think you should talk bad about especially if you havent even tried it.
my child is 19 months and I seriously thought about buying this a while ago. However I find that just reading and playing and talking to your child as you would a small person and not using baby talk helps. Her vocabulary now is in the 300's . She's not a genius, we are just involved as possible with 3 kids as working parents. Just be there for your kids and limit them starring at the TV to a minimum. Also my 11 year old reads to here ever evening while we make dinner.
I don't believe that this stuff works. This is basic common sense that all babies learn if you actually work with them. My daughter is 19 months old and can do all of this stuff with knowing what animals are because I actually sat down and work with her on it.
BedBad N Beyond have it for $99. so I will check walmrt, hope i can find it for 60 i would maybe pay tht at th most because i suck at using windows movie maker plus i dont hav the time. But i agree they should update th images if thy r too old.
You mentioned that she had trouble paying attention to it. Does she watch other televsion at all? From what I understand, most child-targeting television shows are so hyper and kind of nutty that it takes away from a child's attention span (hence all the "ADD" out there). I could definitely see how it would make it more difficult for her to concentrate on something "boring" like mommy holding up flashcards.
i looked around and i fount it at walmart for 60 bucks and every where ells you are looking at 100 to 200. so if you are in a budget and dont have a time to make it your self walmart would be your best bet to go.

I think this program works real well with chidren who are naturaly just smart and active. Like the other mother she was saying that her child hasnt learned anything. My son is 2yr and is already reading the books it came with. I got the program at 1yrs old and it took me 3 months and he was repeating everything and reading and pointing. Some peoples kids are just brain retarded like maybe yours or the other white mother.
HAHAHAHA brain retarded? What a nice thing to say about an innocent child... I will thank you to keep your mouth shut....or else its no problem for me to block you. I know you obviously hold your child on a pedestal and think everything he thinks or says is gospel.. reality check!. My child is VERY bright for her age and can read over 40 words at 20 months...but as a mother i would never call another child ( NO MATTER there mental state)....brain retarded, bring your ego back to earth. Thanks!
@TrulyBlesssed5586 im so sorry i was only being stupid, sorry i didnt mean it at all...It just popped into my mind and i thought it was funny to say...im an idiot and just say stupid things...Again my apologies, im sure your child is awsome they all are....
@GLUVSR4EVER You very stupid...is a great thing that your child haven't pick up your retardation!!!!! Because it is very obviously how retarded you are...you don't refer to a child that way no matter what stage they are!!!
we started these vids when he was 1 month...and like someone said the vid is dated..i was like i can make a better video with my iphone....dont buy it, its free online some where...just take time to teach ur baby..
I can see why starting it early would be a good thing...my 4 month old baby is glued to any moving screen right now, because he's not crawling or walking yet. Getting him to pay attention to it at this point is not hard at all! That may be why they say to start it as early as possible...? We have one the videos, but I'm making the flashcards myself I'm also going to make a powerpoint presentation with our own words. Every day, I read him books that have one picture and one word on each page.
Awesome, that is definitely what I would do....you can save SO much money just making the flash cards yourself. Like I said....if it hadn't been a gift I probably wouldn't have spent my money on it. The flash cards that come with the system are nice...but its not like your baby will know the difference if you make them yourself....and it will more than get the job done. Good Luck!
Sometimes l think organisations make toys, learning aids etc that parents "think" will make their child smarter, when really each child will develop and learn naturally at the pace they are comfortable with. I'm a mum and l think we just get sucked in sometimes.
True, I never would have purchased this product myself....for one its WAY too expensive and out of date. My daughters Nana and Papaw bought it for her for her first birthday, which was nice of them!....its just that its not the wonderful system the makers make it out to be. If you have 250 bucks to throw away then its a great buy...but most of us "tight budget" folks arent willing to do that.
Yeah, its ridiculously pricey....I am sure you could get a used system online...maybe on e-bay or something. Haha but I would just make it myself...a magic marker and index cards can go a long way lol.

you should honestly take speech classes or actually sit down and watch those baby can read videos. your speech and grammar are way off.
