  • @christo930 A vast majority of all technological advancements (read: scientific discovery) in the history of mankind have come into being NOT as a result of competition and free-market capitalism, our propensity for greed and the pursuit of profit. On the contrary, most scientific discovery is made by a small group of highly-informed people who do it not for profit but for the pure pursuit of knowledge. The free market by its very nature makes others' successes our failures.

  • Communism involves money. This would be based on a gobernment not yet seen in hostory

  • this idiot is very dangerous !

  • A country should build a city like this just to see if it works as well as it sounds

  • hmmm the whole idea is wrong. developing technology doesn't threaten anything other than already obsolete jobs. the more useless jobs it destroys, the more useful, technical jobs it creates. the future is informatics, not labor. wake the fuck up. any blind guy could have seen that coming.

  • @JakobsMovieTutorials this is the kind of education human beings truly need to develop their complete potential.

  • Can't believe the small number of views. People prefer twatch a girl teaching them that thursday comes before friday and saturday comes after than watching this outstanding work of art. Some times i think we really deserve our current situation.

  • Hope they have many machine gardeners! Lots of green

  • where is part 5?

  • I want to move there now. I learned about TVP recently and now I hope every day I'll hear word that something is happening and the new society is starting. I would spend my last dollar to get there. I've been laid off twice in 2 years, this shit sucks. I'm tired of the world I live in.

  • @ShipMonster it has started, our way of thinking is changing, the generations to come will bare fruit from that, and the dream will be manifest!

  • Please increase the audio volume. thanks

  • Yes, for all ignorants saying TVP is pure communism, go back to school guys: 1) you need to learn again what Karl Marx said. 2) You have to improve your skills in order to understand a project of this size. Capitalism puts price to shit | Communism distributes shit equally. This means that both are based in scarcity. Beyond all that economic points of view, FRESCO CARES MORE OUR POTENTIAL AS HUMANS.

  • @ArtuRider Karl Marx didn't create communism. But you are correct

  • If you buy into this system and live it and love it dearly, what is stopping someone from wanting to learn how to maintain the buildings and technology? I would if there was a community like this. Sure there would be jobs, but for no pay. More trades than anything. Regardless of whatever set backs you can think of, there is a positive to negate it. Education would be the biggest time consumer as a kid. Sure. But we would be young, smart, happy humans.

  • Utopias have been the dream of mankind for centuries. This system is as unworkable as communism ever was. Anyone who wants this wants to starve to death.

  • @christo930 Care to put some thought behind that statement? How does a system that employs state of the art technology for agriculture leave everyone to starve? Communism (Which we are not) was also never actually tried. The Soviet system was fascism.

  • @Leveer13 The communists used state of the art (at the time) technology too. Tech is not the problem, the idea is. Technology will make a productive people more productive. It doesn't make an unproductive people productive. Soviet was CERTAINLY not fascism. Most economists around the world agree that the SU was indeed communism. A new twist on an old idea. Admittedly, it's fascinating and would make a good book, but it will never work in the real world.

  • @christo930 You started this off by saying that our proposed system was for people who want to starve to death. In the current system more and more people are starving to death all the time. Then you went on to say it won't work because it won't work with little to no actual content as far as the reasons why. Technology during the time of the Soviets was vastly different then it is now. And is still changing fully to eliminate jobs. Automation is going to happen. continued:

  • @Leveer13 Nobody in the West is starving to death, especially not in America. This technology increase you speak of comes from the free market, the pursuit of profits. There is no other way to get people to risk everything then to have a potential reward if successful. Look at China! Even with the Chinese central bank/gov stealing the wages and savings of the people, they are moving up out of poverty and a middle class has been created. There are millionaires who's father was a sustenance farmer

  • @christo930 China is a communist country. Not a Capitalist Country. Though it is also highly fascist. You can't exactly claim China as a success story. You are also not accounting for all of the jobless that are being created by advents in technology. The Free Market is a sham. The more we de-regulate as Free Market economists ask us to do the more the wealth gap grows.

  • @Leveer13 China is managed capitalism. There is nothing communist about China other than the corruption and the deplorable human rights violations. I do claim China as a success story. Look at the average lot of the average guy in China vs 30 years ago. His standard of living is rising, his children are getting a better education etc. It takes time, they have only been at this since 78!

  • @christo930 It's a question of if it is going to happen and actually be applied in such a way to help everyone as opposed to only making some money for a few people lucky enough to own property. There is so much more to this debate your simply avoiding. Repeating that it won't work only proves your conditioned to support the broken system. What do you offer instead? Because this system we have is not working.

  • @Leveer13 Every attempt at doing anything like this has failed miserably with massive human suffering, human tragedy and human rights violations. Even small scale communes turn into hell on earth with corrupt leaders and people who exploit others. Only a system based on voluntary exchanges where both people come out ahead is a system that can work. The closest thing to that we have been able to come up with is the free market. It has lifted billions out of poverty and serfdom.

  • @christo930 Nothing exactly like this has ever been tried. That data is irrelevant. And there are successful small scale communes all over the place. Look into "Twin Oaks". And right now in this system everything your talking about supposedly only happening in things "like this" are happening on a massive scale worldwide. Seriously, your logic doesn't even make sense.

  • @christo930 Jacque Fresco has already emphasized many times that his "dream" (it's a provable reality) in NO utopia. There are no final frontiers, everything is always changing. And how could this Communism if there is no money-system? I would suggest thinking about what 'money' is in essence and why it has value or a lack of it.

  • @WJValente Who is going to set everything up and maintain and repair all the machinery? Why are they going to do it? Why are some people going to have to do all that work why other people are free to pursue whatever makes them happy?

  • @christo930 All of the scientific discoveries and technology we have today was created and will be maintained by very, very few people. Less than 100 people in the past century gave us what we have today. They will do it because their value system will have changed from self-interest to social-interest. And everyone is free to pursue whatever they like and when they create something, everything is given 'it' to expand and improve upon. Your questions are valid, but I suggest you research more.
