I myself am a rape victim. I never turned in the guy who raped me and I knew him. This is exactly why! When I went to the police they originally told me that because I was alone I insinuated that I wanted it. I was 15, he was 19, I was working in a store that had no surveillance. I left immediately. It's been a little over 3 years and he has raped two other girls that I know. The police didn't believe any of us. This is ridiculous.

Polygraph test are actually highly inaccurate. That is why they are not admissible in courts. All Polygraph tests show is an increase in heart rate, which happens when you lie, but also when your nervous. So you could be 100% honest and still fail a polygraph test. Also you can be lying through your teeth and pass. Polygraph tests prove nothing except how nervous a person is. And sad to say, most people still rely on polygraph test.

So I tried other department then eventually made a complaint. Nothing ever happened. The system is crap and there is no accountability for cops.

The introduction of date rape drugs onto the black market represents a very sinister development in the succesful prosecution of perpetrators. I don't know much about the chemistry involved but would hope that those organisations providing support to victims, working with law enforcement, should be able to provide blood or other tests that will establish whether such drugs have been used.
Just an idea about something which thankfully I know very little about.
Actually the police didn`t even test the blood sample for date rape drugs. (I found that out from the documents that were accessed) They also lied about our results....the system is so unaccountable.
Strangely enough, hospitals in Ontario cannot test for date rape drugs in their labs. You have to go through the police labs for that. So nothing is happening about date rape drugs...or to rapists. It`s a sad state in Canada.
I'll make an even more sinister suggestion. The manufacturers of date rape drugs and other trendy substances may well be sponsored by organisations and corporations that have a respectable facade.

Our blood was not tested for date rape drugs. Not only do cops manipulate the victims but they dismiss forensic evidence too.
It was taken within a 10 hour timeframe and we had the rapists address. Still, nothing was done.

polygraphs are not acurate and are NOT submissible in court so even if they passed it it would not hold in court.

Another case of cops being useless. They can't tie up their resources pinning down rapists because they are spending too much on this War On Freedom (aka war on drugs). Heaven forbid the legal drug companies (that kill more people than any of the illegal drugs combined) have to deal with competition. I'm trying to start a case against police who beat me up and charged me with assult on an officer. i have medical records 10 day later saying my ribs were bruised and handcuff marks on my wrists (beat me while i was handcuffed) not to mention numerous injuries on my face and head,to even make a case against them i heard that it will be over 30k this system is fukked!

I DO believe the woman was raped and they should have done a drug test on her to prove if she was under the influence of a date rape drug.
However, I saw NO abuse AT ALL by the female cop explaining she was closing the case. She spoke kindly and even seemed caring. She was wrong, but she certainly wasn't mean.

i had something similar happen to me 4 years ago and i still have a problem with never feeling closure. i reported it to the cops numerous times and they said that there was nothing they could do for me due to lack of evidence. we contacted many attorneys who also said nothing could be done. HOW CAN NOTHING BE DONE?? I DONT UNDERSTAND?!

Four years I was with girlfriends at a bar. I lost them in the crowd. I had a drink. This guy kept following me in the crowd. Then after half a drink I started to feel really DRUNK and woozy. The guy grabbed me and started dancing with me. He kept humping me and trying to kiss me. I screamed stop and the bouncers just laughed. I stumbled down the street and the guy followed me. Fortunately my fiance who did sound at a bar saw me and chased the guy off. it was scary! think he had a date rape drug

My rapists also stole my identification that night (some kind of momento?) So the cops don't care about identity theft either. I tried to get it back but the investigator never returned my phone calls.
So I tried other department then eventually made a complaint. Nothing ever happened. The system is crap and there is no accountability for cops.
Public safety is an illusion.

I have been through a similar situation but my attacker was a sheriff himself.
I wanted to die at the time because the system protected the scumbag sheriff. I ended up writing a book about it . I am pursuing laws to assure that scumbag law officers do not get away with hiding behind their badge to conduct their rapes, murders,and abuse. Talk with God for closure and strength because the system could eventually kill you and definitely your spirit if you look to help from it.

The introduction of date rape drugs onto the black market represents a very sinister development in the succesful prosecution of perpetrators. I don't know much about the chemistry involved but would hope that those organisations providing support to victims, working with law enforcement, should be able to provide blood or other tests that will establish whether such drugs have been used.
Just an idea about something which thankfully I know very little about.

Actually the police didn`t even test the blood sample for date rape drugs. (I found that out from the documents that were accessed) They also lied about our results....the system is so unaccountable.
Strangely enough, hospitals in Ontario cannot test for date rape drugs in their labs. You have to go through the police labs for that. So nothing is happening about date rape drugs...or to rapists. It`s a sad state in Canada.

I'll make an even more sinister suggestion. The manufacturers of date rape drugs and other trendy substances may well be sponsored by organisations and corporations that have a respectable facade.
There is it seems, a less than benevolent mindset coursing through elements within our society. People who seem to have been brainwashed into the acceptability of less than desirable activities based upon their devotion to money and privalege.

The cops didn't even test our blood samples for date rape drugs. They had concrete evidence but they didn't know what to do with it...pretty pathedic. It should have been common sense.

Today is the 5 yr anniversary that the cops closed my rape case. My forensic evidence was not considered before the case was closed. I filed a complaint about the investigation and that went nowhere as well. Years later, I accessed the documents from the case and realized that our blood samples were not even tested for date rape drugs. Why do we accept such incompetence from the cops? Just because they don't believe me doesn't mean my rape didn't happen - it means the cops didn't stop rapists.

This investigator should be fired. I am a survivor of date rape, but never reported it because of stories like this. Rape is the most violent crime a victim lives to remember.
