  • your show as canceled the very next day you ass hat...lol

  • tucker has no fucking backbone and is a nwo tool.

  • i like tucker... he said michael vick should be executed and I agree.

  • Tucker's just another social conservative posing as a libertarian.

  • Anyone else realize when someone gives that guy a compliment he gets a stupid grin on his face like he loves it so much? And when someone brings up things like Jon Stewart he plays it off like it's no big deal, when really he lost crossfire because of that?

  • Looks like Tucker Carlson can't handle being in the room with one of the big boys... he should go back down the slide at the playground.. Pathetic.

  • Amserdam: the place where theory bumps up against reality.

  • isnt that the bow tie kid???

  • @zhiges It appears that's the internet news entrepreneur WITH PAID REPORTERS that you had better hope and pray fails miserably because another mini "foxnews" further right would probably make your head spin off achieve orbit and then explode traveling outward beyond our solar system forever to spread warning of the horror to all galactic beings.

Right you two bit child smart ass ?

  • @Silicondoc hahha wow...WHAT?, you have really mastered the English language, haven't you?

  • These guys are too fucking boring.

  • YOU LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no dummy ,he humiliated you.

  • LOL, Tucker's not wearing a bowtie!

  • i personally know his son, i and must say he is so nice and you guys have to admit, while stating very points, jon stewart was an asshole to him

  • @shabuq B.S.- Tucker is a typical bully who cries foul when someone stands up to him. Tucker is a windbag. Look up his comments re: Michael Vick, Michael J Fox, Canada ... He's a moron and got what he deserved.

  • Jon Stewart was amazing on Crossfire!

  • john stewart owned this freakin guy

  • "my politics are so complicated that even i don't understand them sometimes"

  • Comment removed

  • Notice Tucker doesn't wear a bow-time anymore.....that comment by Stewart must've really got to him....

  • I am not very self aware at all lol

  • 04:47 I lived in Amsterdam, it was awfull :D I bet he stayed there for a week as a tourist, drank a lot of alcohol and played it "cool" so the people there saw trough him and ignoored his ass which crashed his fragile overblown ego lol Or took one hit from a joint and got a bad trip again because of his fragile overblown ego lol

  • tucker got owned

  • i love Tucker.

  • What a dumbf*ck. Notice how he didn't actually answer any of those questions.

  • I thought reason tv was libertarian. Tucker douche is a right-wing authoritarian pinhead.

  • @LogicalFlawDetector No he's not. He doesn't stand with right wingers on any social issues.

  • @Rut267 Oh trust me I know that. He said he is a libertarian and I believe him. He likes Ron Paul, he's a Seinor Cato Member and he is talking to Reason magazine.

  • @Rut267

good to see tucker running out of places to work

hard to understand what could have caused a person to become such a Punk

  • Trying to think of when I've seen two bigger dicks together on one screen. I'm sure I'd have no problem if I watched much gay porn, but as it is, nothing comes to mind.

  • Humiliated himself? No, F$cker, he humiliated YOU.

  • Sorry Tucker, you had your ass kicked on your own show. There is no other interpretation. Suck it up.

  • Tucker Carlson is such a whiny little bitch -- he gets owned on his own fucking show, gets fired because he didn't have the fucking nuts to hold his own ground on his own show. And in typical fashion, he wants to play tough guy in the confines of his own network. Guarantee this little bow tie wearing bitch was looking under the desk and behind the set walls for Stewart before he started running his fucking mouth. Unlike Fuckhead Carlson, Stewart will debate anyone, anytime.

  • Tucker's a fun guy.

  • @johnross12

He's fun like AIDS is fun.

  • @MrFarcry1966 Get a life.

  • @johnross12

Why don't you go give it to F*cker where he likes it?

  • @MrFarcry1966 I'm glad you are so mature. Did you pass 3rd grade?

  • @johnross12

I treat a%%holes on the Internet as they deserve to be treated. When you want to be treated like a rational adult human, come up with something a little more intellectually sophisticated than "F*cker's a fun guy." The objective evidence is that he is a whiny, lying, walking fecal pile who has nothing of any substance to offer on any debate. No serious person takes him seriously. And that's where you come in with your douchebag remark.

  • "I'm not mad about it. It hasn't affected my life at all, really" ---> REALLY? watch?v=43-NX4ShRe4

  • "my politics are so complicated " why doesnt he just say republican i dont get it.

  • tucker=douchebag

  • Please, Carlson got his ass kicked by Stewart and rightfully so. Crossfire was nothing more than inane drivel and a rapid exchange of talking points with no analysis, no compromise, and no sense. It was horrid and Stewart properly called attention to the fact that it was just a half an hour of dead space.

  • WOW

Jon Stewart is a FAR better libertarian than Tucker Carlson AND HE'S NOT EVEN LIBERTARIAN!

    Stop hurting America!

  • Tucker Carlson put the pun in pundit, the problem is he's not trying to be funny.

  • Is the Ringling/Barnum poster in the background a subtle jab that his news organization is a circus?

  • Tucker Carlson is an IDIOT and should be EXECUTED for wearing a V - NECK

  • "I'm not too judgemental of people's lunatic political beliefs" ~Tucker Carlson

Lol, this jackass is patting himself on the back and name-calling any opposition throughout the entire interview. Yeah, real class act this guy.

  • Tucker is not a legitimate commentator, he's a partisan hack, he will say whatever gets the most shock value out of his viewer and to hell with the consequence. He was just on Television a few nights ago explaining that he thought Michael Vick should have been executed.

This guy is in it for the knee-jerk reaction. He's not to be taken seriously if he can;t take himself seriously.

  • If your looking for another reason to avoid the crap processed food produced by Swanson foods, this lying shill is it.

  • I like how the comment section is filled with substance-free "Lololol Stewart owned Tucker"-esque one-liners.

  • He have gone from having a big show on CNN to running a website newsorganisation and he STILL doesn't think he lost against Jon!?

    Woooow....Tucker is stupid!

  • Comment removed

  • Your a joke Tucker.

  • Stewart owned Tucker, straight up.

  • you know, now that I look at him up close, Tucker is HOT! GODDAM! yaooza

  • So many people hate Tucker Carlson.

  • tucker fucker is still as clueless as before ... atleast now a bit more humbled ... jon .. wanst popular back then... he BECAME a sensation after going on crossfire... and the reason why he beat tucker is because he is much more thoughtful, greater personality, well balanced individual and knew more about tucker then tucker knows about himself... i cant believe how much tuckers admitted how ridiculous he is in this interview... at the end of the day he's a d*ckhead

  • where is your bow tie u dusche bag?

  • Stewart cost Carlson and Begala their jobs... dismantled them on air.

Carlson, who used to wear a bow tie, before Stewart objected, is to journalism what dog doo doo is to caviar. How does this pathetic, corporate sychophant find work, wait- got that wrong .. all of Fox News are sycophant corporate hacks... ergo: Carlson is not alone and may be part of a trend. The corporate informer, and local reactionary bean counters are on the march.

  • Tucker has never recovered from this complete OWNING. I hear him on Bubba The Love Sponge show and occasionally on Faux News. He is a rich boy who is overly needy...

  • Tucker just can't let it go, he deserved to get called out and he's mad about it after all these years.

  • hahaha "jon looked like a jerk" not at all! this guy is a fucking dick, jesus christ.

  • reason tv LOL gj

  • tucker is nuts i just saw that "bowtie" video tuckers argument is basically well you dont ask tough questions either. i read the news for news and watch jon stewart for comedy. tucker made no good points.

  • tucker carlson criticized bush for 8 years?!?

  • You really don't care for Amsterdam Tucker...are you kidding me? There are so many magnificent cities around the world. Gentrification is a virus that must be stopped and reversed. Remember the Haight district before the mid 80s?

  • What's anything about nothing jkjk321?

I'm not a Tucker Fan, because he knows too much about nothig, just like jackass234.

Ever been to Amsterdam? If you"re an addict and have to pay for sex, Amsterdam may be appealing for a night. Other than that it's a shithole.

  • @pandoricas A shithole? Amazing transportation system, so few cars in the centre, inspiring number of people who use bicycles, sublime art collections, picturesque canals, city streets bedecked with flowers, clean but not bland like some North American city, friendly educated and healthy populace. Amazing city.

  • @mrmoniker i wouldent know why northamericans are uneducated. I;m from Bavaria and can assure you.....AMSTERDAM IS A SHITHOLE

  • @pandoricas I can assure you that Amsterdam is a terrific city based on my experience. Incidentally I have also been to Munchen and prefer Amsterdam overall, but Munchen wins on beer and wurst!

  • AMSTERDAM DEPRESSING? THIS GUY OBVIOUSLY KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING.

  • "I'm not very self-aware at all." oh boy.

  • He's only slightly less creepy without the bow tie, but I guess it's a start

  • Tucker is a fucking tool

  • Where's is his bow tie.

  • 8:44 yeah right it hasn't affected his life at all, except that he got fired

  • Tucker is a Douche bag and a weakling who has to steal other peoples identity to have a life

  • I personally thought Jon won because he made points about Tucker failing his responsibility to the people while Tucker just kept changing the subject to be about how Jon wasn't being funny and laughing like a jackass.

  • You know it is funny, he has essentially done what Jon Stewart implored him to do. He dropped the ringmaster tone let go of the stage dressing bow tie and decided to talk like a human being with a heartfelt desire to do some good. It is unfortunate that he can't admit that what he was doing was a sham...but at least he's moved in the right direction

  • By and large, I am sympathetic to Carlson's political ideals - that of libertarian rationalism - but Jon Stewart kicked his (and Paul Begala's) ass. Crossfire was a sham and deserved what it got.

  • that battle was way back when jon stewart used to be handsome lol

  • Did Tucker just imply Ventura is an anti-semite of some sort?

  • I don't think Tucker is an idiot but I do think Jon won that argument. The point, at least from my perspective, that Stewart was making is that the guys on crossfire called Jon out for not asking hard hitting questions. This is simply absurd because Jon has never claimed the daily show to be a legitimate news program he has stated several times the the daily show is comedy program wherein the soul purpose to get laughs. The political part comes from Jon's style of stand up comedy.

  • @TheWillIamLee87 he use that as a excuse. when he gets confronted he just respond "were just a comedy show" . i think hes really concerned in politics but adds satire to it..

  • @farerse ya no doubt Jon is definately concerned with politics. Thats his thing. But at the end of the day he is a comedian. He does focus on politics but his job is to entertain not to inform. Thats where tucker loses the argument.

  • Ventura didn't say a GD'd thing about "Jews" you moron.

Carlson = a weenie Beltway libertarian.

Stewart is a braindead liberal too.

Both of them ended up looking like jerks.

  • Tucker Carlson is a funny guy, interesting in his beliefs about me and my fellow Canucks, but funny nonetheless...

  • i know stewart mocks everyone but he takes himself way to seriously

  • @TheJoec2005

    How so?

  • @TheJoec2005 I think Jon Stewart makes a conscience effort to Not take him self too seriously

  • I think Tucker is in denial that he was made to look a total ass by Jon Stewart on his own show. Also - he talks about the need for reporting on government - where was he when the Bush administration was taking the US from surplus to deficit and faking up evidence to invade Iraq?

  • Hey Tucker; Jon didn't come off as a jerk. You did...and the fact you still say Stewart was wrong for what he did further underscores the fact that you just don't get it.

  • Sorry, Tucker, but Jon made you look like a jerk. Probably why your show got cancelled a month later.

    Stewart for President!!

  • .

Tucker is a great guy, God bless him.

    Jon Stewart is a jackass.

  • Jesse Ventura should sue Tucker for libel. Ventura has never said the jews were behind 9/11, he is just asking for an investigation.

Tucker is a liar and not a patriot.

  • @piscesgutt Why ask for an investigation?

  • @Janetvdl Because the official story continues more debunked lies than I care to mention, and a truly independent investigation is the only way people will ever know the full truth behind 9/11.

  • i used to really hate this guy, but he comes off as really smart and reasoned here, i may have misjudged him

  • @alexpitt5 I used to feel the same and like Tucker I am becoming more libertarian everyday. I also started reading Reason. Maybe I am growing up a little like Tucker. I guess I misjudge people too.

  • Everyone can say what they want, the thing I believe many of us are so angry about is the way in which it is presented. Don't say it's a fact if it's not, don't pad the issues with anecdotes, and it doesn't hurt to make people like you occasionally. This is especially true if Carlson's real intention is to "Be Successful". Unless this is another attempt that becomes Shillery I wish you luck Tucker, please don't destroy the idea of real news credibility. btw no tie=better success good job

  • the washington beltway "libertarians" are statist phonies. Murray Rothbard was a real libertarian. ron paul 2012.

  • jon stewart

  • My only criticism is that this video felt like it was forced to end at the 10 minute mark, just as Carlson was getting cranked up in criticism of the Bush administration. I would have liked to hear the rest of that train of thought.

  • hahahahaha. Tucker....go tuck off!

  • No Tucker the jerk was you. Jon did not humiliate himself, he humiliated you for your lack of real journalism. So "tuck" your tail between your legs and go cry to mama. Tucker you lying stack of shit I was at the rally and that was not said. You have no character, honor or moral integrity for not holding up your end of a contract. Why Reason is giving this ass wipe any air time is beyond me.

  • Raison detre is a useful phrase. Some things really don't have a reason to exist and so eventually they die. As I'm sure the Daily Caller eventually will. Tucker Carlson imagines that Jon Stewart looked like an asshole, but at the time he was making a good point. At the time, Carlson was one of the worst things on television. He has since been out far and away out jackassed by Beck and OReilly.

  • If there was an actual investigation, there would be no debate or questions!!

  • Hey Tucker Carlson, YOU KNOW JESSE VENTURA NEVER SAID JEWS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR 9/11. YOU SHOULD BE SUED

  • tucker should be bum fucked by a horse and then hanged

  • A moment of silence, please, for the passing of Tucker Carlson's bow tie. It will be missed...

  • @roystonlodge

I was thinking the exact same thing! XD

  • Ron Paul 2012.

  • Fuck you, Carlson. You know damn well 9/11 was an Inside Job, you mutherfucker!

  • Tucker is a lying asshole.

  • No tucker, Jon didn't win b/c he's more popular(BTW: HE IS), but he won b/c he owned you. He made smart and articulate observation about what is wrong with the media. You lost b/c you couldn't rebuttle it!!

  • Tucker "you gotta have some standards" Carlson is a hack. By what standards does someone bring hookers to a Ron Paul event? Douchie standards Tucker. Douchie standards.

  • Stewart owned Carlson. End of story.

  • Jon Stewart called him out and kicked his ass and he is still talked about the ass kicking he got that day. YOU GOT YOUR DEAL

  • He thinks he lost to Stewart because popularity? Really? He still doesn't get why Crossfire was shit. Unbelievable.

  • this happened years ago. stop whining. MOVE ON

  • The guest would *love* Alex Jones. :)

Really though, I wonder if he ever checked out what Jesse talked about - namely the stuff regarding the NWO. "Shadow Government" was directed by a guy originally intending to debunk this "crazy talk" but eventually ended making a movie about why it's REAL!

  • The U.S. government is guilty for 9/11 under every possible scenario: they initiated aggression in the Middle East, they caused the grievances against which the hijackers (real or simulated) claim to be defending themselves, and they monopolized the aviation security market. 9/11 would have been 100% impossible in an AnarchoCapitalist society, with each airline responsible for their security. They would have at very least had armed pilots, locked cockpit doors, and better interception services!

  • The only rational position you can take on 9/11 is the agnostic position. There clearly have been many government False Flag operations in the past, and the U.S. and Israeli governments clearly had the motive for war (plans for the invasion of Afghanistan were on Bush's desk by 9/9), and they clearly had the means to carry it out (brainwashed patsies and hydraulic hacks of plane controls guided via autopilot). The loonier "bombs inside buildings" nuts like Alex Jones can also be CoIntelPro.

  • If Tucker doesn't like drugs he can live in a homeowners' association that contractually prohibits them, send his kids to a college that prohibits them, etc. Even charter cities as big as Singapore, which still executes drug dealers, are possible under even the most radical libertarian philosophy (Anarcho-Capitalism), just as long as: presence there is 100% voluntary for all adults & the laws are clearly stated in your "citizenship contract". Intergovernmental competition will lead to tolerance.

  • Amsterdam is awful! You must be joking Mr. Tucker. Could you expand on that? Everyone smiled at me when I was there. I felt warm.

  • Tucker Carlson is weird and creepy gay

what a fucking pussy... 'walks out' when hearing about israel.

  • The conspiracy nuts in the Libertarian party are what keeps it from becoming a larger 3rd option.

  • seriously.. then the conspiracists turn around and use the small size of ron paul supporters to justify their own existence.. then their repulsive behaviors and chanting of theories backed up by speculative evidences drive out new blood, and then their justification become again sustained. self perpetuating negative spiral. conspiracy nuts are actually the greatest enemies to liberty at this point.

  • @spyletu: "conspiracy nuts"? Explain this one for me then:

    watch?v=aRpSdiCC-ws

"Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance." ~ Albert Einstein

  • We had an investigation and that investigation concluded that it was 1 plane per tower flown by Arabs. No cruise missiles. No thermite. What did Einstein say about doing or believing the same ludicrous thing in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary? I think he'd say you're insane.

  • @mawtin0: Sorry my friend but the cat is out of the bag and there aren't enough "debunkers" to keep the truth suppressed. Why fight for evil? It will betray you every time.

  • I can't help but laugh at Carlson talking about his encounter with Stewart. Who is he kidding? He wanted to go after a comedian over journalistic ethics. That's like going after a plumber over electrical work.

I hate Stewarts' politics but he rightly dressed down Carlson. Crossfire was horrible. As are many of the other so called debate shows that still air.

  • Libertarianism is battling for Tucker Carlson's soul. Hehehe.

  • He was right to dis Jessie Ventura.

Those Troofer conspiracy theories are so lame.

It's a fact that the Bush Adm. didn't want to invade Iraq or Afghanistan until after 9/11,

so no they didn't have a motive for planning it. And even if they had a motive, it wouldn't matter, because it wasn't them.

  • but i thought bush was hitler and wanted to take over the world? you mean he wasn't hitler II? ;)

  • I take it you're being sarcastic

  • Why, oh why do you have Tucker Calrson on & suck up to him? He is one of the most disingenuous debaters out there. Stick to actual libertarians who make coherent arguments. He actually doesn't piss me off in this interview much as usual, but if you actually ask him about ANYTHING interesting he demonstrates his dismissive debate style & intellectually unimpressive (to say the least) arguments. Have you seen him interview or debate someone w/ whom he disagrees? He usually starts by putting...

  • ...the person down w/ a backhanded joke. continues to do this throughout the interview & then finishes up with this tactic. I'm sure you can occasionally find an argument in there, but not much of one. He argues for things like don't ask don't tell & against gay marriage, then does photo shoots with prostitutes? It's not like he seems to oppose them on moral grounds, he just acts like he doesn't want to "rock the boat" or some other fallacious argument.

  • I'm sorry, but if you have him on again, don't just kiss his ass & feed into his smarmy attitude, ask him what he actually thinks. Why do people take him seriously? My dead grandma can put up a better fight. He likes to act like he is so open minded. really? Does anyone buy that? Just because he occasionally opposes Republicans? He's an ideologue? He's for drug criminalization because he doesn't want the US to become Amsterdam really? He introduces Ron Paul to a brothel owner

  • but is concerned about gays in the military. seriously? He just gives lip service to libertarian ideas, whatever he "claims" to think. I'm sorry I just get worked up by his jokey disingenuousness his "I'm just saying" pretend frankness. Why does no one EVER confront him about his ridiculous anti-libertarian ideas? His arguments border on 4th grade taunting. Just because he says everything in an ironic tone doesn't make him cool. AHHHHHH!!!! Sorry, sorry.

  • He seems like he would be a very nice guy with whom to have a cocktail.

  • Tucker is a hack... How did he end up with a voice in the media?

  • i don't understand the comment that stewart swings below the belt as soon as he feels he's in trouble...could you give an example of the other numerous times that he has done this?

  • I don't understand the sudden hate on Jon Stewart. During that interview he had some really good points on how the news media works. Simple as that.

As for the interview with Tucker. He doesn't have enough charisma and his views aren't strong enough in my opinion. I just can't exactly say that I support or agree with him.

Plus the bit on Ventura was some bs. If you want to criticize someone get your facts straight.

It all made me feel very indifferent on Tucker.

  • I like Tucker Carlson, but he has a bad habit of issuing racy polemics and then trying to rationalize doing so. You can be an apologist or an antagonistic polemicist, but you can't be both.

  • jesse ventura rally for the republic

Search those words on YouTube to learn what Ventura actually said. Tucker Carlson is simply spewing lies and ignorance in the clip above.

  • Tucker talks trash about Ventura when he doesn't even know what he said at 'Rally for the Republic' about 9/11. I stopped listening at that point. I don't have time to listen to that punk talk trash out of his ignorant ass.

  • Jon Stewart was criticising the CrossFire show, but directed his vehemence against the right-wing speaker. Did you hear the left-winger confront Stewart at all?

Regardless of the legitimacy of Jon's points (they were ON the mark), the criticism embodies left-wing elitism - Carlson was being told his show is an intellectual travesty. However, this scolding really signified the left's perception of the right, and this is why the debate was so popular, as it speciously reinforced this bias.

  • @UCIBME no, the theme Jon was hitting on during the Crossfire debate was soundbite politics was hurting the US. The left wing guy was just smart enough to not egg Jon on, unlike Tucker.

The left, and specifically people with a higher level of education (the "elites" as you call them in code) recognize that issues are not black and white. That discussion and well formed understanding of the issue is important in the formation of an opinion.

Btw, being educated used to be something of admiration

  • The diatribe was directed almost unanimously towards Carlson - I would hardly call the left-wingers actions as active avoidance. And remember, I'm not questioning the validity of the critique, but its presentation perfectly mimics the pretentious and condescending attitudes of the left when dealing with the right. This mimicry is what I highlighted as the raison d'etre of the clip's esteem.

If the content of the rhetoric was what made this popular, we would have seen the marketplace evolve...

  • ...to satisfy this apparent demand (such as a TV program or website). Instead, we've only seen further polarization since 2004, further evidence of the latent irony found in the ideological promulgation of Stewart's rant: articulation that criticises the very manner it has been used as a vesicle for self-aggrandizement.

P.S. education lost its significance the moment it became institutionalized, and consequently, dogmatic.

  • @UCIBME you know, libertarians are cool and all when you chat with them, but I am so fucking glad you guys don't have any power. Somebody like you in charge of the federal govt would be a disaster

  • LOL the disaster depends on the frame of reference - is it the millions who have generous lifestyles made possible by the productivity of society (and I'm NOT talking about welfare recipients), or by the members of society who finance such prodigality?

  • Why wouldn't America like John more he has everything going for him. Including being right. I hadn't seen that episode until today and John defiantly won.

  • Stewartt handled himself well, except that he called Tuck here a dick and fumbled his last question quite horribly...

To say that a comedian should be asking tough questions to a candidate is absolutely insane... If jon stewart is expected to ask tough questions, why do people like Tucker here exist???

  • I will check it out... cool

  • Jon stewart ripped that stupid talking points show apart. He did a great job. What happened to tucker's bow tie? Oh jon let him in on the fact he was a grown man.

  • I think I would enjoy Stewart if he weren't canonized regularly by the press, and the left. He is intelligence, and certainly has great comedic timing, but it is impossible for him to live up to the hype.

I want to barf every time we see the "Jon Stewart - America's Next Gen Anchorman???" articles. UGGGGHHH. It is old, tired, and silly. He is not the voice of a generation, he is a comic that happens to fit the political philosophy of the mainstream media.

  • So, Jon Stewart's calling out of Tucker Carlson was successful because Stewart is more popular? Seriously? I've shown that clip to people who knew neither person and the consensus was that Stewart was absolutely right.

  • I agree... I think Tucker here is still butthurt that he called him a dick...

  • I don't get why people hate Tucker Carlson. I kinda like him.

  • Moynihan has great deadpan.

  • Stewart had been following Olbermann back then, and essentially treated Tucker as though he were Dick Cheney or Karl Rove. Stewart was demagoguing leftist twaddle. I think if the interview / debate happened now, it'd be more civil much like the O'Reilly back n' forth. And I think Stewart has grown up a little bit since then. Just a little. In any event, Tucker has a better grasp on the issues and isn't interested in impressing the leftist media in order to be popular.

  • He's wilfully ignorant if he thinks that Israel didn't know what was coming on 9/11.

  • morons watch Jon Stewart thats why they say he won...

  • I'm glad that he's a fellow at Cato, although it's hard to tell if he's REALLY doing it out of libertarianism or just for publicity and beefing up his resume, but "senior fellow" is going a little far. Unless he's got some special talents in writing and research that he has yet to reveal and got perfect scores at Yale or something, I doubt he's THAT intellectual to be one of the top guys writing for and representing cato.

  • If Tucker thinks Amsterdam is depressing, he's not going to the right clubs.

  • raison d'etre's not a very uncommon old-school term used by intellectuals and scholars even today, right? I've seen it quite a few times myself and I'm only 22.
