In the true lyrics they do say the 'A' word, just implying that in older times the word was NOT a swear but truly a wild donkey or mule, I remember in my church we had to sing this song and everyone HAD to point out the word in the lyric paper, but yes, in a song like this it may be offensive to a few people to sing the real lyrics...

It's three days before Halloween, but I don't care. This is so amazing! I went to his first concert in the Christmas Tour in Salt Lake City, Utah and he really made me cry when he sang this. He puts so much emotion into it.
