@6digit he isn't, he had feelings for Grindewald, a dark wizard who slightly brainwashed Dumbledore when he was younger and was also the cause for Dumbledore's little sister (whom had special needs because of a traumatic incident involving two muggle boys who, hinted by Mrs.Rowling, "hurt" her)'s death and he's never forgiven himself for being so blinded by Grindewald ever since. The scene in the 6th book where he drinks the poison is supposed to be him reliving the moment where Ariana died
