@vc180191 but u can also think of it as simply greater control of his reitsu. The light show and wave of power from before is energy he's not actually funneling into the battle. So now that he's grown more used to that level of power, he can use the power with more control and not waste it on stupid stuff like those flashy bursts of energy.

Y'know, IMO if the series had never had the Vizard powers, and retained the Bankai as Ichigo's ultimate ability, the series would have been better. I mean Ichigo's Bankai got raped, when it first appeared, it was the absolute ability, but now it just seems cheap, he uses Bankai for everything, it feels so weak compared to a Captains Bankai's, even Senbonzakura Kageyoshi, which was defeated by Ichigo's Bankai, now seems far more powerful than Tensa Zangetsu, such a waste for such an amazing idea.

@vc180191 I mean, if you compare his Bankai reiatsu flow from the arrancar arcs, to even his reiatsu flow with his shikai against Kenpachi, it's far weaker than it was back then. When the Bankai was first shown, his reiatsu rocketed into the sky and was visible from all of Soul Society, so strong that people couldn't even approach the fight location without being dominated by it's pure power, now he barely makes the wind blow a little when he uses Bankai, it's saddening really.
