  • What is the laughing at the beginning for?

  • @XxXAfterlifexXxX its just some random stuff thats sometimes added to songs that people add

  • @jumpinhowlin its pretty much been metalcore the whole time. and yes you would like the other albums. Long live the devil wears prada haha

  • This band has been around for almost 13 years now. the original the oldest member was Aaron since he started in the band in '99 when they weren't even on the map yet. Then guitarist timothy mctague came in during changing of times in '01 along with synth: chris dudley. They're first album under a record label in 2004 was the "They're only chasing safety" which included the new vocalist, bassist, and second guitar. So really, everyone is still original except the new drummer

  • @jumpinhowlin want my opinion?... when i want to dance or put my child to sleep i play "Disambiguation", when i want to go fucking nuts i play an "Act of Depression"

  • weak formula crap

  • original UnderOath > new UnderOath

  • @blueprintmorgan dude totally differnt lineupp not one OG memeber is in UO

  • @jumpinhowlin lamb of god and as i lay dying are metalcore bands, as well as all that remains and killswitch engage

  • @xXSATCHM0Xx did you just call LoG metalcore? u fuckn retarded?

  • @dunksman23 for the past 5 years ive known the band, ive never heard them get called any other subgenre. who the fuck cares anywyas though? its all metal subgenres just start flame wars among butt hurt people

  • @xXSATCHM0Xx Yeh but LoG sound nothing like AILD or ABR or TDWP or any other metalcore band. Whatever they are, groove metal is the vastly more common genre for them, theyre not metalcore

  • @dunksman23 suicide silence and i bult the cross are both deathcore and they dont sound similar, neither do any bands to me. which is why sub genres are stupid.

  • I like the current UnderOATH, don't get me wrong, but they should seriously consider trying to go back to the original band's style, cause this is AWESOME!

  • whenever people say they have listened to every underoath cd i put this is and they are in disbelief. cries of the past is fucking legendary

  • how do u make a video like this with just a picture i want to upload my songs ?

  • @guitarmanjt put the cover on windows movie maker and stretch it out to the length of the song.

  • THIS is Underoath. Not the fake one we have today.

  • @AILDisepic aaron gillespie the drummer was 15 when this was recorded and 14 when the band was started so he more than likely wrote the song at 14 and didnt get to record it until a year later considering they were a new young band

  • @jumpinhowlin its Death Metalcore :P

  • okay. the laugh sounded alot like flapjack O.o

  • panda bears tickle my balls

  • Thumbs if the laugh in the beginning made you check your pants.

  • The beginning is creepy >.< but very good lol

  • i love jesus!

  • Extreme!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this sucks pigshit they sucked then and suck now LET THE BUTTHURT FEST BEGIN!

  • @RE8978RETURN No, none one's getting butthurt. We all know you're a troll of which that nobody will ever give 2 fucks about :)

  • @TehKrakerzGuy kiss a dick you insignificant trash

  • @RE8978RETURN HAHAHAHA, you suck at trolling. Fuck your dad, he tells me you're good at that =)

  • @TehKrakerzGuy Your just a sad little fagg boy whose putting his sad reality of being touched by his father on me. Go back to playing your videos games, you sad piece of dog shit.

stick your head in the oven and do the human race a favor.

  • @TehKrakerzGuy you should have been aborted....

  • @jumpinhowlin look up their latest album, "Disambiguation", u be the judge. (ps, none of the original members are in it anymore, the last remaining original member, Aaron Gillespie, the drummer/clean vocals, left the band about a year or 2 ago to focus on his other band, the Almost)

  • @underfan15 OH, I love the Almost. No wonder this sound so good to me. I must find more. Metalcore, Rap metal, glam metal never deserved to have the word "metal" in their name.

  • Aaron at 14 everyone!

  • @underfan15 Dude, he was 15.

  • Comment removed

  • @underfan15 When they recorded the album he was 16 (still impressive)

  • @underfan15 what the vocalist was only 14?

  • @underfan15 are you sure this is Aaron at 14? i thought for sure he was 14 when he joined in 1997, but i could be wrong

  • @underfan15 Lol learn how to count, Aarons born in 1983, this was released 1999. Thats 16 years, not 14.

  • @jumpinhowlin This was their first album, back before they were considered metalcore.

  • I guess flapjack used to be in the band

  • the laugh always reminded me of flapjack, that little salor kid on that cartoon

  • i still have Cries of the past and Act of depression. Can't believe people offer me a lot of money for these originals on cd.

  • love the lyrics (In your face God!!!) XD

  • is there anything by chance that u can give me a free download website or something to this TERRIFIC!!!! SONG!!! PLZZ!!!!! ANYONE!?!?

    EPIC SONG!

  • I mentioned that annoying laugh in the intro to this song when a friend told me about a band that plays children's songs to start off their set and when everyone leaves from them playing them they start playing their actual songs. HAHAHA

  • Jesus they've changed SO much...and people talk about Linkin park changing alot

even in the time Taylor was in the band they changed greatly and then Spencer came in and as time went on Arron did less and less vocals..till he left and now they have the new drummer...they changed every single album and still staid my favorite band

  • I think these guys are amazing! They r so hot! If only most guys could look and sound as good at these guys. (hahah!) There r so many kool bands out there now like this one but these guys r still the best!! But I have to say my friend told me bout this other band - WEIGHTLESS IN WAITING - awesome name by the way - and - OMG!! they r awesome!! Check out the lead guitarist and the drummer - mega talent and they r soooo hot (HAHA) You gotta check em out. Anyway Underoath, u r still my fav......

  • Underoath, so many memories...one of the very first Screamo/metal/post-hardcore bands i've ever listened to, haste the day was the other one before these guys, i've loved underoath from day one, and still love them, even though none of the original members are around in the band anymore, they still kill it every year

  • it sounds like flap jack hahahaha

  • This is UnderOath

  • so sad to see that they don't have Act of Depression or Cries of the Past on their site... but i guess thats because none of the current members played in them

  • @bass5445 It's actually because they only printed 500 copies of each album. There will never be any more.

  • @ZRoflcopter That is pointless. Funny thing is the first two are their greatest albums.

  • @SkyyVodkaa It's not pointless. At the time those two were printed, they were still "underground" and they didn't have any reason to make that many.

  • @ZRoflcopter I was just expressing how good they are, you've clearly misinterpreted. You are also wrong, they made much more than 500 copies on the second album, it was in the thoasands.

  • HEY! SHUT YOUR FACE! METAL!!!!!

  • FUCK JESUS THIS IS HARDCORE!

  • so is this actually music? i find this crap near the worst stuff i have ever heard. No i take that back, not near the worst stuff, it is the worst stuff i have every heard!

  • @masterp2202 Then why search it? Dumbass troll...

  • @masterp2202 then u can get the hell off this page!!

  • Their early stuff is so much better than their current stuff. It's weird how the lyrics were more Christ-centered during the band's early years.

  • Lol i like his song but for some reason i find it funny

  • #miss lol

  • This sucks without Aaron I kiss the old underoath =\

  • @tackmcmoney5567 You do realize this is the old Underoath, lol you fail.

  • it sucks they don't sound like this anymore.

  • @IZOtheSLAUGHTERER you suck.

  • @Luwts1 wow that is so creative, lame ass emo kid

  • @Luwts1 your momma sucks

  • this is ugly almost as ugly as there other songs dude cant sing for shit

  • Wow, this sounds nothing like their stuff today. Honestly it's like they're a completely different band.

  • Underoath as came a long way, throught out the years even though they have change there style is still a sick ass band. These guys were in there teens when they recorded this album

  • much better than today

  • About the laugh in the first few seconds of the song....doesn't it remind anyone else of those weird and annoying unicorns from Charlie the Unicorn? Or is it just me?

  • This is much more hardcore than thier new stuff.. Infact, they should've changed thier name when Aaron Gillespie left the band a couple of years ago. There is no more original band memebers left. :(

  • @JACK8DAVIS Aaron left back in April last year (2010).

  • @Hojunhu I know. That's when he affically left the band. He took time off to do his side project The Almost.

  • @JACK8DAVIS You sir, are a tard.

  • @Nickkasaur Oh? How so?

  • @JACK8DAVIS First off, your spelling is awful. 2nd, Aaron Gillespie left last year. not a couple of years ago. And why change the name? It's 2 awesome bands in one.

  • @Nickkasaur I don't see how my spelling is relevant to this conversation.... It's called typos. I'm not taking a test, so why pay attention to my spelling? Just a bunch of shit talkers on this fuckin youtube shit...

  • @JACK8DAVIS If you come onto Youtube and try to act smart, atleast spell things right. Spelling is easy, and if you can't do that right then apparently you're not that smart.

  • @Nickkasaur I'm not trying to "act" like anything...Just talking about a band I like... Although the stuff I state might not be completely accurate, I don't see how you have the nerve to talk shit to me. Back off and keep your rude comments to yourself..

  • much better than that new shit

  • seems like sponge bob laugh

  • good message

  • anyone who talks about "proper screaming" is a total faggot. screaming comes from the heart and as long as you are not a douche bag who inhales or whispers who gives a fuck. proper screaming is for little scene kids who live in their parents' nice house and record themselves doing faggy vocal "covers" of songs on youtube. underoath is was and always will be sick. they are pioneers man.

  • @MyJussi69 dude you got so close on that one i used to live in my parents big house i left at 18 i tried 2 vocal covers(of from my heart screaming) they sucked terribly absolutely horrid now yes i still scream from the heart but not in a way that is gonna leave me un able to sing or speak in 10 years i mean listen to a7x`s singer his voice is fucked and he cant scream any more lol wonder why?

  • @MyJussi69 Nice dude.

  • @MyJussi69 lmfao your comment = win big time

  • Underoath turned gay after they made songs before and after this one.

  • New and old Underoath have an AMAZING sound. I love it.

  • this song is hard! :D

  • I hope you guys realize that Underoath is a christian band. GOD doesn't see too kindly what you guys say here. Look up the lyrics. I'm an artist myself and if I saw something like this I'm sure I wouldn't be too happy with it.

  • @LuvsuJesus what do you mean? i am a strong believer but dont get what your saying.

how is god unpleased with this? i dont mean to attack you or anything aggresive.

ive seen the lyrics many times and dont see anything wrong with this song or the band

  • @blackeclipse78 I do not say that the lyrics upset me. In fact they are Christian lyrics. It is what people say of this song that angers me. I like the lyrics and the songs. But not how people speak.

  • 1:38 - 2:25 Love how it goes faster, then slower \m/

  • @CRandLC they had a couple songs on the album that were 10 minutes long

  • absolutely horrible, dont even put Underoaths name on this garbage

  • @Infamouslyminded Except it's Underoath? Dumb ass.

  • @Infamouslyminded what do you mean "dont put underoaths name on this garbage"? this IS underoath. if you dont like this song theres something wrong with you.

  • @azrealrecords the message is christian but it really dosnt take any talent to perform the way this song is and dont bull shit me im ina metal band my self i scream i understand all about metal but all they do is smallpower chord progressions random drumming and massivly gaind out simple riffs takes no talaent to perform plus the screaming style here is not a proper techniqe like false chord fry etc... so hes not even utilising talant to scream i like underoath just not this way

  • @SupaOfSupa Just curious, because I've been doing vocals for 7 years now and I have done a wide variety of techniques and learned a little about each one, what EXACTLY is a "proper" vocal technique?

  • @Hojunhu singing wise i just wing it but vocal techniqe for screaming my personal choice is gluateral vocal fry i also use a little false chord if youd like me to go ind eph of my knowledge on how it works just ask its late and i dont feel like typing but i know screaming techniqes all the ones im aware of i aslo know about i dont know 7 but ill name what i know

power exhale(not so good but a techniqe none the less

    vocal fry

    power fry

    false chrod

    death

those are the ones im familiar with

  • @SupaOfSupa Like I said, I've been doing vocals for 7 years, I don't need clarification on how to scream. You said yourself that your only familiar with a few, so what makes you think that he's not using a "proper" technique?

  • @Hojunhu simple he is un able to pronunciation his words with 100% clearity with that scream that emans hes straining to do it other wise he wouldnt have trouble talking

i am a vocalist man i scream all the time i love under oath just not there death metal days have you ever heard of the zen of screaming ? any ways yes i can understand him but his words are sloppy when you scream all crazy and loud and throat damaging its harder to pronounciate properly simple fact

  • @SupaOfSupa It all depends on the natural timbre and strength of your voice. Personally, I've done band practices without a mic or amp because I've forgot to pack it in my gear bag but my band was still able to hear me without any type of pain on my part. I'm just a loud person. I don't mean to be a jerk or come across as somebody who had their cheerios pissed in, I just don't think it's fair that people just other vocalists on how they scream without actually being that vocalist.

  • @Hojunhu although i agree on the not judging thing i just think if your a vocalist your words shouyld be heard songs tell a story and if someone has to look up lyrics or read them as they listen to understand you than your song is weak in its lyric department i know hes capeable of screaming where you can understand him(mostly) do to there newer stuff just the thing with death metal is (not death core that ahs guitar talent) but detah metal is almosta train wreck i favor metal core and hard core

  • @SupaOfSupa You haven't been listening to death metal if you think deathcore has more intricate guitar work than death metal, but I didn't come here to argue instrumentation, just vocals.

  • @Hojunhu fair enough however im not saying all death metal im sayin g stereo type okay for instance teh 1st half of this song or satanic music by decide and stuff like that now DM like CoB is another story they are far more talented than death core but most times the "core" versions of a genre have a more melodic system than just hammering on guitars and drums now aside that my vocal comment be4 whats the point of makinga song people have to look up your lyrics to understand it(most people)???

  • @Hojunhu from your stomach. Don't use your throat. Good posture is helpful as well.

  • @LuvsuJesus I know how to scream lol.

  • @Hojunhu then why did you ask?

  • @LuvsuJesus I didn't ask how to scream.

  • @LuvsuJesus then why did you ask.

  • @Infamouslyminded this is the real underoath dumbass this is before they went all pussy like their newer shit

  • Im glad you cant get this album on iTunes... WTF????? this is a great album are they ashamed of it?

  • ii JuSt FouNd tHiiS BaNd aNd ii Am iiN lUv

  • @supermayo1998 Bro underoath is nasty i have been in love for a couple years :D

  • W T F !

  • Dallas is wayyy better in Maylene....

  • @skarkot in maylene and asdsdadas is good! but in underoath have more vocal techniqes and power *sorry for my english xD* still awesome in both

  • @Zeriwi Who is asdsdadas

  • that laugh.......almost pissed my self

  • I don't like her voice, but the rest is realy excellent *-*

  • the begining is pretty cool, the rest is kinda whatever

  • The beginning is epic.

  • the drop at 0:36 is EPIC

  • their old stuff (like this) has really something from metallica

and to fuck all the retards discussing here

in this album they have been death metal/ old school deathcore...

but later with every album (and every album worse than the one before )= ) they went through metalcore til post hardcore

  • anything after this and Cries of the Past is pure and utter shit. I can this cause back when they were doing music like this, is when they would actually admit to being from right here in Ocala, FL. back when it was the original line-up, not this group of jackasses they have now. I got to experience them in places that couldnt hold more than 100 ppl at a time.. in churches all over town. its almost depressing to listen to this nowadays, knowing its over... meh, sorry.. rambling at this point

  • @EcoCaviZ24 They're like metallica! haha

  • In honor and anticipation of Underoath's upcoming album Disambiguation being released on November 9, 2010, prjunky.com wants to know with all the changes with the band throughout the years, how long have you been a fan for? What turned you on to listen to Underoath? Have their songs impacted you in any way? Let us know by leaving your comments on prjunky.com to share with everyone. Be sure to take our quick poll.

    Thanks,

    Danny B.

  • simply put, by the second album, they were metal, no arguing that fact. everything after that became simply screamo which is not metal. in the second album, there were hints of good influence from melodic and black metal. i wish they would have stuck to that original path. from the 3rd album on they are nothing....they should have renamed themselves. maybe the old vocalist and style could have continued on in another band.

  • @stormblastarmy Dallas Taylor (original singer) was in the third album aswell. :P

contrary to popular belief it wasn't Dallas Taylor who gave them their "deathcore-ish" sound but it was Corey Stegar. He did leave (or got kicked I forget) after Cries of the Past and that truly was the changing of times for their music style. Oh and the Dallas Taylor did continue in another band,Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, However the style is nowhere near the same as this.

  • this is deathcore and way more christian than the stuff they do now. its a lot less ambiguous, read the lyrics, straight up preaching. not a christian myself but this cd is amazing and i recommend it to any fan of decent metal.

  • @kenzie0908000 Who are you to say what is and isnt?

  • is this the old undeorath? their more brutal before

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! fuck yes!!!

  • One of their best songs!

  • i use this as my alarm to wake up

  • @BECKISAHOE dude i totally would too

  • @BECKISAHOE Fucking sick loooooooooooooooooooooooool The beigining r sicknes! :S :0 :D

  • @BECKISAHOE that should be a good wake up :-)

  • @BECKISAHOE that's pretty hardcore man lol

  • Somehow the like 2 seconds before the laughing stopped I laughed, and the start of the screaming just made me laugh my penis off.

  • i used to listen to this song before my soccer games and then i would usually end up fouling someone in the first 5 minutes. great song

  • that riff at 119 is so mean

  • EAAAA SEA LO Q SEAN ES ROCK!!! A LA MIERDA SUS DISCUCIONES!!!

  • 1:39 to 2:24 The only reason I listen to this song [:

  • great

  • Comment removed

  • OMfreakingG this ish go hard!!!!!

  • UNDEROATH has blast beats? OH NOES

  • Watever, Underoath is still Christian and they have beautiful messages!

  • i like finding christian bands i actually like, seeing how i worship satan.. just kidding, im atheist.

  • @ihave2 Being Atheist is close enough to worshipping Satan. By being Atheist you're following Satans lies.

  • @js7news

what are you talking about, i am satan and im taking you all to hell. but really, why you guys got to be so uptight, can't joke around, but you can belittle my views? who is to say your right, i'm right, jews, muslims and all that. just calm down and realize this world is bigger then you and your religion

  • Underoath is Metalcore, and that is not a sub-genre of Metal, it's a sub-genre of Punk. Punk -> Hardcore -> Metalcore it is called Metalcore because it draws influence from Metal. It is Punk with Metal influence not the other way around. You don't have to be a genre guru to do a few minutes of research and form an educated opinion instead of propagating lies.

  • funny beging lol

  • The funniest thing about coming to listen to music on youtube is you always get guys arguing over what Genre Music is, Honestly, who cares, just appreciate the music. Call Underoath what you want, if you could put them under the Genre of Amazing. then thats where theyd Belong. Their a great Band with an Awesome Passion for God and the ministry they do through their music. I love them and always will, cant wait for the new Album.

  • i hate kids who use screamo for anything without clean vocals.. listen to saetia. thats screamo

  • Shut up and enjoy the fucking music!!!!

  • agahahaha gaahah ha ahahag ahga WAHHHHHH DAAAAAA BLAAAAAA YANA KA FOR QWAAAA

  • i love this but sadly this side of underoath is dead

  • i love this but sadly this side of underoath is dead
