Yeah - dozens of shutterclicks wasted for nothing. When I went to take some pictures today I had two Ideas, and it took me three Exposures to get them into the box. I think my trusty old F-Series will last another 35 years. Can your 7D do that too?
Why are you all so nit picky about 'omfg moron the dust getting onto your sensor'. If he/she wants to ruin his camera's thats his/her problem. Perhaps you could thank these people for showing you the frames per second and buffersize while riscing to kill their camera (although these videos are rather pointless when posted 5000x for 1 camera).
absolutely pointless excessive waste of your time surely.
i have a wonderful d7 but i wouldn't treat it like this.
for one your attracting shead loads of dust on to your valuable sensor and two who on eath wants to see a pointless video of two cameras going off.
do us a favour next time please and put something a little more ingenius on you tube so we can all learn something rather than this waste of space on you tube.
I am so tired of these videos.. Too many people are doing this to their perfectly good Canon DSLR's. Stop wasting the damn shutter and TAKE SOME FUCKING PHOTOS.
this scares me... nothing like taking the lens off, having your camera powered up , EXPOSED, creating a static charge to pull in dust on your sensor... happy cleaning.
Not necessarily, depending on whether the batteries are connected "parallel" or in "series." Frankly, I do not know the answer to that question, and if the 7D can handle higher voltage.

I hope people realize that both these camera's have self-cleaning abilities... Totally fine to have the cap off.

@arturohersa 50D- raw or jpg :) no matter what you choose up to end of space on card it supports UDMA cards - up to 90MB/s, 7D i pressume the same:)

No dust, no dirt, no cleaning ... I don't know about you, but I live in a clean place...:S
You also change your lens, and no one pulls out the windows when you do this....OMFG

For all who might stand in the dark. The battery grip does not change the burst rate on any Canon DSLR. it only provides it with longer battery life.

@jeremychuayx but the 7D has a grip on it so will sound different as it is not on the table like the 50D so you can not tell...
