  • @polaroidsky "Jessica Rabbit - Why don't you do right "

  • Something you can never and will never do with a computer program. and im a traktor user

  • Anyone know where is featured the Jessica Rabbit "narrator" voice at the begining?

  • 4:06 is freaking good

  • pure genius the instrumental stuff after 4.05

  • @flipfloptk from Vancouver, Canada

  • woot Canadian! (:

  • Oh nothing, there was a comment below saying "you cant really scratch CD's :P."

  • @Snaffle I suspect that's why he used the word really, since it's less responsive, and just not as good.

  • the first 30 seconds are /great/

  • yes its amon

  • sick fucking scratching

  • Real djs use vinyl

  • You can't really scratch CD :P

  • Kid Koala scratching Amon Tobin? that's like too much

  • Goldilocks.

  • most unique and revolutionary dj around. uses the 1's and 2's as an instrument better than anyone else out there.

  • this fool is the definition of original

  • in my opinion turntabalism at its best without a doubt

  • Is this avaible on DVD? I think it's from a BBC Session right?

Unbelievable Stuff. My greatest Respect for these Guys.

  • you are talent, my god! You are the king!

  • beast.

  • absolutly awesome - but is there some way to listen to the actual interview??

  • scratching piano? wohoo D:

  • I love Kid Koala! Thanks for posting this!

  • amazing. so original i love it.

  • Seeing this man on three tables and a sampler

at the same time at DEMF in Detroit was one

of the most unreal things I have ever seen.

  • so so sick. such a good routine!

  • wicked

  • does anyone know the name of the song that he's scratching over? i just watched the scene where she sings this song, and i dont hear the background music in it. it goes perfectly with the scratching of the jessica rabbit song, but what is it? is it part of the movie? or what? does anyone know

  • i don't know the track spot on but always thought it was a Marilyn Monroe track.

Kid Koala is Eric San, a Montreal-Quebec based DJ and turntablist.

  • did you just tell me who kid koala is and where he's from? are you serious? did you think i didn't know that? you've got to be kidding, i can't believe you told me who kid koala is and where he is from and what he does for that matter.

thanks for the track info though, i really want to find out for sure so i'll keep looking

  • the info bit was for the questions below you, it seems to keep popping out, why did you freak out?

btw, here are track details for the song:

    Jessica's Theme

    Composed by Alan Silvestri

    Performed by London Symphony Orchestra

    with Chuck Domanico, Tom Scott

Vocals are by Amy Irving, who does singing parts for Jessica Rabbit

  • you replied to my comment. it's obvious.

thanks for the info for jessica's track, but it's more the other track i'm interested in since it's clear that the record he scratches is either like, a soundtrack or just the movie on vinyl.

  • the other track he is scratching over is:

Natureland by Amon Tobin (another amazing artist who shares the same record label as Kid - Ninja Tune)

  • so did the song already exist and kid koala did the scratch routine over it or was the song produced to go with the sample?

  • it already existed. It can found on Amon Tobin's (amazing) album 'Supermodified' - definately worth checking out.

  • THIS GUY IS SLICK!!!

  • he is indeed :)

  • phybrid you legend! yep tobin rocks in either moniker. appreciate the tip

  • Cool refreshing

  • when is kid coming to hong kong

  • this is kid koala, hes canadian, from montreal.

  • well he sure is dope! so are the trailer park boys.. score another one for Canadia!!

  • Is the kid an Aussie?

  • thewhyallakid - no, he's Canadian

  • @thewhyallakid

He was born and lives in montreal Canada

  • dope, and definitely better than hearing "ahh" and "fresh" crabbed and flared all the time....

    refreshing

    cee

  • he's a turntablist

  • o_o wow

  • inhuman...I'd believe he's a musical koala, rather than a DJ...a musical koala in his own category/world...

  • Is the record on his right that he does most of the scratching on a dubplate or just some obscure record? I don't know much about djing.

  • Probably just some obscure record

  • It sounds like one of those mad old "story" records. You know, those old records, with that old-school narrator voice telling "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" but as a story. Best scratch samples on those sort of records.

  • i was in oxfam the other day. i came across a " story " record. it was jungle book. its just about one of the best records i have to scratch with ;)

  • Your lucky I that's rare now.

  • My friend's found some epic vinyls at charity shops.

  • godamn i just came back to this shit and it blew me away again.

  • kid koala should maybe hit the battle circuit. i think he was in the dmc but im not sure.

  • the DMC cares more about flare and flash nowadays, skill like this is marveled at but won't win.

  • @koreanbounca from what DMC YT vids i've seen it seems its always been the showy stuff which wins - DJ David in 1991 (!)

  • This guy is amazing!

  • kid koala is clean

  • Brilliant. Howewer it's used Amon Tobin Track here. Natureland from Supermodified album.

  • wow, that was brilliant. nicely done man.

  • koala is the man. hands down.

  • 7jazz7.. i'm pretty sure this routine is called "jessica rabbit" and is on the bullfrog album.

  • musically that's 1 of the greatest & most unique & creative routines ive seen on turntables, fuggin siickkk!!! very innovative.Pz

  • seriously I was listening to this song for a while, then it like clicked in my head how epic this was, this guy is still one of my favorites! and he proves yet again why!

  • The Track is Amon Tobin - Natureland - very lovely track<3

  • nice, whats the name of the song?

  • that was fucking sick. what a style

  • thanks! :)

  • Nice Post! Haven't seen this yet...
