I have never seen so many dead people in the audience before. The old Blue Hairs didn't know how to react to good music. Undertakers please show up at the next Nobel awards. They have plenty of work for you!
@2whhd Exactly so! I certainly was one of them, back in 1979, playing this song in the marching band. Like I said, I'm glad the audience got to hear such an outstanding example of American soul/R&B/funk music. That's what I love about music from around the world: it's the best ambassador we have.
cool, well put...dang that would of been awesome playing this in our marching band...wow...i just have to remember to stay opend minded, or i might miss something...lol...
I just want to thank you for celebrating the best R&B band on the planet, Earth Wind And Fire, truly the GOLD standard in live entertainment. Listing to them is like opening a can of 'feel good'
Verdine white! one of the baddist BASS players ever ! don't hit wrong notes. have you ever scene them live! I have, second to none in live performances, everything they do! every note played for a Reason, they wrote it that way!! I quess you just saying you have a good ear for notes, and that's alright! so do i`let's just enjoy the great music of one of the Baddest Bands in the land!!
Its= is his brother and Earth Wind and fire is my greatest band ever and ever will be! They will never give up and they also have the greatest song ever and it doesn't matter if it from the olden day, I Love all of their songs.
Truly good music stands the test of time. These songs were released more than 30 years ago, and they still sound awesome, either live or in the recorded formats. EWF will live forever as one of the all time greats.
@TheFenderFan The audience on all Nobel concerts are like that. They're not really there because they're particularly interested in music. Norwegians are a pretty good audience when going to see a band/an artist solo. Earth, Wind & Fire would receive great response if they did a normal concert :)
Is it me but is the audience alive or what it got me SMDH...

Love the Elements. Funny how the audience looks. lol

agreed...was thinking how out of place the funk band was at this "white bread" gathering. I think it's good the audience got the exposure, though.

That wasn't Verdine. That was the keyboard player beginning his low to high glissando, perhaps a bit too low and a bit too soon.

Nope, that wasn't it either. Maybe it was Verdine. But, otherwise, great performance.
