Hi, I recently discovered your channel and was just amazed by the quality of your videos, then I looked at the views and saw that they was barely three hundred views or so ... I watched all of them ... Really got me thinking for some ... You deserve more suscribers ! Thanks and keep up the good work !
From Paris, love, man ! (sorry for my bad English)
In my journey I've crashed and burned many times. I've picked up the pieces, looked at those beautiful mountains and continued on down that highway. This is a beautiful piece... well done.
@gsilverstone I wrote this but maybe it's something that reminds you of American Beauty. That was a great movie. It's been forever since I last saw it.
I think that our spirits continue to move forward forever because the people you love will have had some importance to your life, thoughts, and/or personality. And when they pass away, that part of them is still a part of you. Once you pass away, a part of you will still be a part of someone else, etc etc. It may not be "significant", but it's still a part of you that continues to live on even after your spirit is gone from this earth. (I hope this makes sense :S)
I believe we live on in a variety of ways, through pictures, our friends and family and through our Devine inner self, I think our conscience is a type of quantum essence, existing in the past present and future all at once! Great video! :)
Beautiful video, it really made me think. I had to watch it twice though, cause the first time I was focusing more on the highway and trying to figure out which one it was *facepalm*... out of curiosity, was it Hwy 1? It kinda looks like you're on your way out to Hope or something?
When a Tralfamadorian sees a corpse, all he thinks is that the dead person is in bad condition in the particular moment, but that the same person is just fine in plenty of other moments. Now, when I myself hear that somebody is dead, I simply shrug and say what the Tralfamadorians say about dead people, which is "So it goes." ...
... They can see how permanent all the moments are, and they can look at any moment that interests them. It is just an illusion we have here on Earth that one moment follows another one, like beads on a string, and that once a moment is gone it is gone forever...
Ken, you are so smart. This reminds me of a quote from one of Vonnegut's books...
"The most important thing I learned on Tralfamadore was that when a person dies he only appears to die. He is still very much alive in the past, so it is very silly for people to cry at his funeral. All moments, past, present and future, always have existed, always will exist. The Tralfamadorians can look at all the different moments just that way we can look at a stretch of the Rocky Mountains, for instance...
very inspirational video. it got my thinking and hopefully it'll help me at my current cross road. i added it to my favorites. thanks for making this lovely video :)
When we die, our memories do pass on to a certain extent, until those people that were affected by us die as well, then our legacy will go into dust,. Unless you are a public figure, your name might show up in google or wikipedia ...
I had a close friend die back in December. I would like to think his sole lives on and he knows how I and others miss him. I was thinking the other day that he is just gone and has nothing left to do with "life". Then, as you said in your video, I knew he lives on in our hearts and minds.
