Unfortunatly, Nordstrom only uses traction elevators for 3 or more floors, but for 2 floor stores, they use hydraulic, and have one elevator, as these stores are usually smaller, and are abreveated stores, respectively, since 2-story stores don't have as many departments 9/10 cases
So if every elevator in the building is inground, what makes this holeless?

I would investigate a bit more. We have found that most Schindlers that we thought were holeless are inground.

every schindler in the bldg is holeless. The majority of the lifts in the building are MontgomeryKONE

All Nordstrom elevators are schindler and have the same design.

no, I've seen an OTIS elevator at several, and some montgomery's, and montgomeryKONE's, all with different designs!!!

Yes, Nordstrom uses the SAME DESIGN on all new store elevators, and many different designs for older stores

Also, some Nordstrom locations move into former department stores, and make them higher end, even though most use 2-floor hydraulic elevators.
