Its called LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL PEOPLE. the other tire was probably spinning! its not a locked diff.! And i could have gotten out of that in a minute.

1) 4wd could have taken care of 95% of your problems there.
2) You need to learn terrain negotiation.
