I am a female breaking into the game making the transition from a stripper in the strip club. Talking about challenge. I'm down! I like your tutorial, very comprehensive. I am battling a DJ who currently works there (I am a Dancer at the club) On Aug 7. So I am in the lab hard. Remind you, I just started DJing two months ago. But I am unstoppable. Check me out. Shalom

  • you are my mental online mentor

  • how can i scratch using the crossfader while the other turn table is playing? like he did on this video if i do it like that the other channel will star playing so if anyone knows tips i would really appreciated it (-=

  • @luix19tc he isnt moving the fader all the way across, he's going from the side to the middle, so that the other track isnt affected, thats why you put your thumb or finger there.

  • ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah

  • can you do that a bit slower i didnt quite get that.

  • I personally found this useful. Thanx alot! :D

  • Chill out Loosers!!! hes just breaking the patterns down so you dont sound like shit...

  • why am I so surprised that now days you can 'learn' to be a dj like its a f@*king job training scheme or yts or somthing.

What about djing for the love of the music!!!

the most important thing is to have soul and be able to read and feel a crowd.

Im so glad my time was the 80's and 90's and not nowdays

  • nice job mate

  • OMFG 138,785 videos oh my mothrfucking god

  • im new to djing ( started today ) was wondering what to scratch on should it be on acappella or on instrumental? any other advice on starting would be nice as well

  • @connorJdio why dont you do what we had to do in the 80's....... find out for yourself mate.

we didn't have all this training videos and people to ask we learnt through trial and error, which then breads creativity - the most important skill to have as a dj

  • @BruvaBob because its not the 80s and you improve faster when people help

  • @connorJdio So why is it arguably that the best dj's of all time come from the 80's era. I understand what your saying but trial and error have and always will be the best way to progress forward because it breeds creativity.

Its like being an artist - anyone can be told how to draw or paint but you either have the natural flair or you dont.

I wish you all the best with your efforts and hope you become what you so want to.

  • yo you got some vids of you goin all out? wouldn't mind seeing that...

  • how do you manage to get that tapping sound to come through the PA?

  • @yourdadsawhat it doesnt lmao its from the mixer

  • @PLURKID25 sorry mate, i know that. I must of been in a sarcastic mood when i wrote it.

  • dude this guy's voice kinda sounds like mike shinodas voice when he was still young

  • @MatthewFalcon73

    Yeah it really does

  • use the transfomer scratch with dubstep music in the backgroun :)

  • does anyone know where to get the records like that lol

  • Can someone tell me what brand of turntables hes using?

  • HE IS USING TECHNICS 1200S BRO WIT A 2 CHANNEL SK MIXER...ITS VERY EXPENSIVE

  • @N3o724 not expensive c. 400 euro each SK One is a particularly cost-effective mixer, not a bad fader and about 200 euro. Even less if you're talking dollars.

  • Good tutorials man

but now i understand how come there r so many Dj's..

    everybody can learn this.

    To many Dj's ftl

  • @twixx754 Yeah there are too many DJS just not many good DJS.

  • mmm warning man...don't come in italy with this name...colione is not a good thing...

  • Comment removed

  • fml lol i cant get my hands moving at different speeds ahhh

  • u could totally scratch what u just said

  • dj colione, you're hot. oh also my role model

  • what scratch record is he using

  • yo man did you ever find out what record matey was using in the video, How to DJ Hip-Hop : How to Do the Transformers Scratching Technique.

it would be wicked if you helped me out on my little quest dude thanks !!

  • Are you specifically asking for the exact record that he is using? Or more so the sample that is on the record. That sample is the standard "aaaaah". It can be found on a lot of scratch records. I know that superseal 1, 2, and 3d all have them on it. So if you want the same sound he is using on this video, you could go with one of those.

  • Any Battle break record will have the ARHHHHHHHHH scratch on it - try Super Duck Breaks, Dj Rectangle Ultimate Battle weapons, Mr Dibbs Unearthed, STD Breaks, or any Dirt Style record

  • scratch roulette!!!!!!!!!

  • does it matter which turntable you scratch on?

  • YES! Unless you started on a cheap turntable and have your Kung fu down. Otherwise it's a Technics 1200 series or other Direct Drive turntable. Belt drive turntables take a lil longer to spool up after a scratch release.

  • i knew that lol. i meant like left or right haha. thanks for the help!

  • No it doesn't really matter, it just all depends on which hand you are comfortable controlling the record, and which hand you are comfortable controlling the mixer. I think right handed people are more comfortable scratching with their right hand and mixing with their left. But a true DJ is ambidextrous.

  • oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh this ... is tiiiight.

  • STEVE AOKI IS MY HERO

i would REALLY appreciate it :]

  • Yeah, if you wanna do turntablism... Hes not a good role model

  • why not :(

and who would be a good role model :o

  • Probably DJ Abilities, Or DJ Premier. Those are my 2 favorite DJs.

  • thanks :D ill look them up. along with Steve aoki i also really like DJ Shadow :]

  • i like dj ravine

  • a good role model would be dj qbert, shortkut and ,mixmaster mike. look them up

  • do you know what a crab scratch is....?

  • ok so you don't know what a crab scratch is.

  • Dude this guy is a breaker, a director, and a dj? dayummm.

  • It is Stanton SK 2F, isn't it? I got the same mixer :P

  • thanks

  • i am djing at the moment is there any better way of doing a fade from a blackout!

  • are transformers like flares ? they kinda sound alike with the cutting of the fader

  • no.........with a flare you start with the fader on as the sound plays on the record you need to chop the sound in half by moving the fader off half way through the sound and then back on again and then pull the record back again in a mirror fashion.

  • thanks whoever put this on...

  • im just geting into DJing and im confused,

hes uses a beat record on the right, but what kind of record does he use on the left, can someone pleasse explain to me, if im going to buy a turntable would i need to buy 2 different tables for the left and the right, Please help!!! and what kind of vinyaals is he using for the left turntable and the right turntable

  • he has a signle vinyl on the right side. this means he has a record that has multiple versions of one song eg album version, dirty, instumental and acapella. this all varies from whatever record u buy but u can use even just a track record it doesnt matter. on the left side, he can use ANY record, as long as it has a part he likes that sounds good scratching.

yes to dj decently ur probably gonna need 2 turntables. i bought the Stanton DJ lab2 and its pretty nice so far and doesnt break the bank

  • I've been looking for a basic beat does anyone know where to download that beat, or maybe and different one

  • Google: Instrumental

    Those are all just beats.

  • when scratching wat sort of vinyls would i buy..wd grum beats and scratch sounds

  • For the scratch record you can use anything. Google: DJ Tools.

Those are usually scratch records (records with just little sound beats meant for scratching.)

For the beat record, buy something with an instrumental, that is the beat without the words.

  • once from da best dj´s !
