There is no black unity. There really is no unity within any racial group because in all races the men insist on leading the charge. Women want equality for all races and for all people, but the male ego will not allow it. Black men are fighting to be in power. They simply want to take over the position that the white man holds. Nobody really wants to rally around that. I, as a waoman, will not.
You needed others to make your computer, make your clothes, your home, your car, your job etc. If you are self employed you need others to make money. So, you do believe in and support unity in one form or another.

You live in a world that is controlled by others thus they control you, so shouldn't there be an effort in making sure that those whom are in control do what is best for you? Or, unifying with others whom are under the control of the "powers that be" for the best well being of yourself?

A system is connections and connectivity. In order for a system to work all parts must be unified at least for the goal and purpose of the operation of said system. What are you achieving without the help directly or indirectly of others; specifically?

I am not certain that I understand what you mean about the food chain. Animals are broken down into many groups by the unity in their body structure or reproductive means or food consumption or...etc.

The only successful way unity works is if the people all have the same mentality. They share a common goal thats it. I'm for individualism don't tell me what I should & shouldn't be doing. Parents from children, male from female, thus creating an individualistic mentality. "I have to worry about myself, forget everybody else!" I believe this is even more perpetuated by way of capitalism. Then there is the Truth that you do NOTHING on your own. You needed others to even reply to this.
Yes there is nothing wrong with asking for assistance & a helping hand. But as far as that goes thats not unity! As for your assumption about slavery yes that is true that is how they divided. The slaves but it doesn't apply with the here & today.

My experience is that most churches are worshiping God but individualism is a religion for these "churchfolk". I use to be a church leader before I awaken to lifting the vail. I wonder if people are praising Obama for preaching change, or promoting the lifting of the vail. Like your argument.
