  • up to 15.000 RPM! :D

  • @jpoppish my mates dad told me it was the cheapo high powered scooters that ruin it due to falling apart casused de tuning of 50cc.

  • Wow what a cool video!

Why were all the high-powered 50's done away with in the 90s? What do the authorities have against going fast on 50cc's?

  • Nice to see Ralph Bryans (red helmet) and 50cc champion

  • Yes mate it's a brave man that races 50's and 125's

  • Some of these bikes had up to 13 gears and a top speed of around 130mph, not bad for a 50cc in the early 60's

  • @ROOKERYRACES suzuki took it to the top with their watercooled, 50cc V-3-cylinder(!!!) "RP 68" racer which used a 14-speed gearbox!

it seems unbelievable but they managed to get 380hp per liter in the 60's o_O

  • @purpleGoAhead Yeah, I'm only waking up to the HP thing now. Basically, it seems they had it figured by the 60s and then pollution controls and fuel prices intervened. My slovenly but sweet 2000model W650 gets only (supposedly) 49 HP out-of-the-box and the bike it was (supposedly) based on, the W3 of the late 60s got 53?? Though I realize there probably wasn't sports bikes getting 150HP then either.

  • @ROOKERYRACES lol are you kidding me thats still great even in todays standards :p

  • ehuaheauheauehueahe

  • Small engines are the best races.

  • no, are you crasy?!

  • Hell yeah they are. And when you're on them, you feel faster than Usain Bolt.

  • fabuleux document, l'Histoire moto.
